Personally, the friends in my life whom I've lost, some thought if a rich celebrity couldn't overcome and beat AIDS...they wouldn't stand a chance. I tend to side with Republicans more in terms of political idealogy, but I will say that it was despicable for Ronald Reagan to basically ignore the AIDS epidemic until he was basically out of office. Regardless of whether you agree with or condone gay lifestyles, gay people and those with AIDS stricken through other ways, are human beings, Americans, and tax payers who deserved complete support from our government. A lot of lives may have been saved had the Reagan administration been more proactive about the virus.
What choices were they ? It was said he caught the virus through a blood transfusion after a heart attack 1981 , not the out of touch comment you made !
