Lovely chilled report 😊. I've flown this Route in business previously which was fab. Am heading that way again in Nov premium economy on one leg and business on the return... Really keen to test this PE class.
Really good Vlog Joni, I am deciding if the upgrade is worth it (flying: Bangkok - Helsinki later this year), and I think your vlog has made my mind up, another plus is that I think you now get a complimentary neck pillow 🤩 Cheers 🥂
Envious they gave out the business class amenity kit..On the Tokyo flight they give a sad paper bag (with an unusually ugly Marimekko pattern not on par at all with the lovely business class design - and in a particularly ugly colour too) and a run of the mill eye mask. No slippers or socks like Finnair used to give pre lock downs. I was so disappointed by the paper bag I threw it out. It is marketed as an environmental decision but I think it is just cheap for them. The seat was fine and food was ok. Did not see much of the flight attendants during the flight but they seemed nice.
Good review. I traveled this month with Finnair in premium economy between Helsinki and Tokyo for the outward and return journey and I was very disappointed especially on the return journey by the quality of the food served, especially the starter, the dessert for the main meal but also by the breakfast for the return flight. Even if the seat was ok, I think that next time I will prefer an Asian company to return to Asia in premium economy
Great detailed trip report! I have tried both Eco and Business on Finnair A350 but not yet the PE, tempted now, it's relatively easy to get an upgrade with AY Points. Btw you probably now already, Joni is rather common name in Finland :)
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm sure you will enjoy Premium Economy as much as I did when you try it out 😄 I will be flying Business on the A350 from London to Helsinki which I am really looking forward to :) And I actually didn't know that Joni is a common name in Finland - that's so cool to find out!
Thanks for your comment and yes the last row which I was sitting in does recline as fully as the others. Thankfully Finnair left enough space, I was impressed by the amount of recline and slept well 😄
Thanks! The recline was really good, and being in the last row of Premium Economy meant I could recline for the whole flight without disturbing anyone 😅
@@ThatBritishHongKonger was the recline the same being the last row, it looked like it didn't in your video. i've booked those same seats to Bangkok next year. thank you!
@@JMay-p4l The recline might not have been exactly the same but it certainly felt good enough for sleeping! And of course the best thing about the last row is being able to recline for the whole flight without bothering anyone behind, which is something I'll take over a few extra cm of recline 😅
@@baconoverflow4384 I’d go for the aisle seat at the front! Especially on a long-haul flight so you don’t have to ask your neighbour to move when you want to go to the restroom 😅 And the extra legroom would also be great!
Just coming off a round trip Finnair PE flights from Helsinki to Tokyo on the Airbus A350 I have to say I found the experience very much underwhelming. Yes, the seats were fine. But meals were poor with very little choice. Ordered an Asian Vegetarian meal for the return leg as first trip only had a beef/chicken option. Ended up getting served without doubt the worst meal ever on a flight. It must have cost Finnair 50 cents to make it. Second lighter meal just as bad. Dessert on first trip was a chocolate bar, on the second flight it was a chocolate sweet served in paper cup even though the menu had said it was a strawberry cheese cake! Not even offered tea or coffee after main meal on second flight. Friendly stewardess on first flight, but second one indifferent and cold. Very limited inflight entertainment. Depending on the plane, you might have to make a long trip back to the toilet in Economy class, first flight allowed to use business class toilet. Thought PE Cabin just an extension of economy with no dedicated stewardess. If you get a upgrade from economy to PE for free or a nominal fee, then it's worth going for it. But purchasing as a standalone product it's not worth in my opinion. Will look to JAL or ANA PE for trip to Japan next time around. Again only my opinion. You seemed to get a much better service with your flight.
I agree with you. Really nice walk-through! Thanks mate, looking forward to this flight & seat to Seoul in a couple of weeks and this helps set expectations!
Thanks mate, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and hope you have a fantastic time on your Premium Econ experience to Seoul!
Nice footage, calming music, wonderful narration. Good job, Joni! 🤩🤩
Awesome review. I'm doing round-trip next May
Thanks so much for your comment! Hope you have a comfortable flight! ☺

Nice job Joni 😊😊 really love your smile and brilliant narrations 😊

I Havent Experience Finnair A350-900 New Cabin Yet,I Love The Blue Berry Juice Aboard Finnair.Great Trip Report
Thanks! Yes the blueberry juice onboard was delicious!

it is good that you liked the service shown here.
To me the meal was not very tempting. And the breakfast or whatever in paper? Was there champagne?
nice report appreciated it
How would you rate the audio quality on the noise cancelling headphones?
Audio quality was pretty standard but the noise-cancelling was great for sleeping with the headphones on! 👍👍
Great trip review thank you! Quick question, does the last row of PE seats recline fully as the others?

Did they remove the neck pillow? Or you just did not use it?
I guess they removed it because I wasn’t offered a neck pillow 😅
I think it maybe depends on where you book, but PE gives prio checkin, lounge access and prio boarding. Not a fan of this review at all.
Woah 14 h 10m flight
Super long but it honestly passed by so quickly 😅
