Lbs on one side, kgs on the other. The weight stickers show the weight at 1:1 and 2:1 ratios. REPs product video had that info. Looking forward to their cardio equipment.
Hi Coop, greetings from Germany. I appreciate your work to give information and advice for homegym owners. Therefore I want to bring two german companys to your attention that are some kind of specialized at homegym equipment. ATX and Atletica. Both are doing nearly the same with lots of variety and attachemnt possibilitys and the pricing is realy good. It's nearly about 2/3 - 3/4 of what you pay for Rogue or Titanium. I dont know if the products are also available in the US but I think it's worth a look.
Vid on REPS site at about 4:45 talks about the weight stack and has clear video of the stacks. The labels are in lbs and has both conversions for 1:1 & 1:2. First plate ->"10/20" Which means 10 lbs for functional (2:1) and 20 lbs for High/Low row (1:1) Second plate at "15/30", third @ "20/40" ... ....
An Adonis, DB shelves and then 6 post PR-5000 would be my setup if I had the room. I don't have the room, so I have a 6 post PR-5000 and Ares, with a separate Rep Fitness standalone dumbbell rack.
When you review the Adonis check if the prime low row foot plate can work on it. If it does this would be the machine to get because what is great about the prime single stack is you don't have to sit on the floor and can adjust the location of where the cable comes from on the low row.
From what i've heard from others, there are two pegs on the prime low row attachment and one will require to be grinded just a little bit down to fit rep 5000. Difference being metric vs imperial from where they are manufactured.
@@helotr3vor A guy on reddit did it on a pr5000 and said he has no problems. I personally believe it will fit, I am just concerned about the adonis low row cable attachment getting in the way. It sticks up pretty high.
Yeah except the Prime is 2:1 on the row, REP is 1:1. Big difference. And you can do the same thing on the Adonis w/the adjustable cable column if you want to sit on a bench, you'd just need a footplate to mount on the upright.
I’m surprised you didn’t comment on the Arcadia max as well. It seems like it would answer a lot of your criticisms on the arcardia. What would you recommend to someone between the Arcadia and Adonis?
Would love to see a configuration where it’s a power rack function trainer with one side lat pull down low row. Similar to the HLP prime prodigy rack, but with one side just having a traveling outlet trolley so you can do flies, shoulder presses and chest press. While the other side is the full Adonis.
I am so disappointed that they aren't making a Pegasus that is 4000 series compatible. I have an athena set up, and it wouldn't have been so nice to get a seat attachmeant to somewhat do the pull downs.
Would it be possible to have a comparison between the Adonis and the Ares? Looking to get something to add to my gym but I can’t decide which. Maybe even include the Athena or Arcadia to cover all the bases.
This is something I would like also. Held off on ordering the Ares because this was coming out, now after seeing it, unsure which is the better option to go with.
The first one where it is 15.9/31.8kg etc is the weight and then what it feels like with the 2:1 ratio. It goes up in weird increments - 4.5kg/4.6kg because that is a 10lb increment just converted to lkg. The picture you showed after where it says 20/40, 25/50, etc is the same thing just in lbs, again the weight and then what it feels like with the 2:1 ratio. It is still 10lb increments. Both are the same stack just labelled with a different unit.
The number one reason I am going to wait for Bulletproof's version is the ability to put two of these on the front of a rack and use iso arms with the bulletproof version. The Adonis' peg board panels make the Rep fitness iso arm trolleys not fit.
Hey Coop! Love the review, this does look slick but got my Powertec Lat Machine with weight stack and ability to add weight to the weight horns for a combined weight of 500lbs 1:1 for $1400 with taxes and free shipping.
Any chance during the review you could make a rig that includes an Adonis and an Athena? Curious to hear a better description of how they feel different from each other. I was really hoping to make a cable crossover out of it!
Have you done a review on the get rxd slim profile wall mounted functional trainer? I tried to find it but couldn't. Would love to see a review on that. Might be my next purchase
Coop! I’d love to see you do a review on Jacked Up Fitness brand all-in-one racks. They have an assortment of models from plate loaded to included weight stacks. They use 10 gauge steel for most of the uprights (and 12 gauge in other places), and they have the best warranty/included attachments that I have seen. You would be the perfect person to review their products- there’s not too many videos out there on them!
The weight stacks are weighted for imperial measurements, but the stickers are metric. The two numbers are for the ratio (1:1 / 2:1), not lbs vs kgs. If you convert the numbers to lbs, you see they come in 10 lb increments. 22.7 kg becomes 50 lbs, 27.2 kg becomes 60 lbs. This means you can get 5lb increments at the 2:1 pulley ratio.
I’m confused why you can’t use the Adonis and Athena together as a function trainer. The depth difference of the equipment shouldn’t matter as you orient yourself correctly. Or am I misunderstanding?
Did no one else notice the slick new Rep Mag pin that comes with the Pegasus ? It has a black head with a white mountain logo. Are they gonna start selling Magpins? At the end of Summer 2023, Rep started charging sales tax on everything shipping to Tenn. I've not bought anything since. Fringe Sport still sells tax free last I checked...
REP doesn't "make" anything. China does. Also, REP doesn't have any original ideas. They steal them all from other companies. Adonis and Athena? Stolen from PRIME. Trap bar? Stolen from Kabuki and Eleiko. SSB? Stolen from EliteFTS. Blackwing? You could argue lifted somewhat from Manta Ray. Double Black Diamond? Stolen from American Barbell and Kabuki. Colorado bar? Stolen from Rogue. I could go on and on.
My rep stuff is nice. But when your dropping that much cash and bulletproof pulled off the isolator so well I’m waiting for details and release dates if not reviews for sure!
Said it before. EVERY weight stack/cable machine should have weight horns either standard or as an option. If for no other reason than as a way to use bands. But pegs for bands is a must. A cool design would be weight horns that add an additional 20 pounds (10 pounds for each horn) and can slip on or off similar to the Dialed motion weight horns.
I’d like to see the lat pull down tested with a bench as the seat. An extra $400 for a seat is nuts. Would be nice to just use a bench and maybe some PR 5000 leg rollers to save the money.
I wish the height was the same as the 80" PR 5000 Power Rack, because my garage ceiling is only 85" in height, so this Lat pull down machine would be tall for my garage. I do not like the Bells of Steel or Titan Fitness Lat Pulldown machines and was really hoping this machine would be no higher than 85 inches. It seems all the better quality Lat Pulldown machines are 90 inches in height unfortunately. (Rogue Fitness, American Barbell, Prime Fitness, Stray Dog etc.). I can use my Ares, however I also wanted a stand alone one to replace my budget Deltech Fitness Lat pulldown/low row machine which is 80 inches in height.
Hey, coop, I'm getting into Strongman, and I was wondering if you could review Titan fitnesses plate loaded atlas stone (or any other at home strongman equipment). I know it's not really your average home gym equipment, but I would really appreciate it
I’d still prob go with reps functional trainer with storage in between (I’m tall and need that width to be farther than what an Athena or ares offers on a rack). That set up would be 2:1 so I’d need a gym pin and some plates if I’d want to do lat pulldowns. But I can justify that $3500 (plus the weight pin) vs the 5k for two Adonis’.
Home gym equipment is getting ridiculously expensive. You can create a functional home gym that will give you a total body workout for less than $3,000, instead of buying one piece of gym equipment.

What don’t you like about it?
@@blueandgreys well for starters, it came in banged up brand new and the company never replaced it. Also, it makes a ton of noise compared to most other pulleys. Also, the pulley is not very smooth compared to an aluminum pulley.
What area are you in is it posted for sale?
These reaction videos to exercise equipment is so cringy.
"And if you see here.. This here is a weight stack that goes in lb not kilograms!"
-MIND BLOWN lol..
Pumped for the upcoming REP reviews! They've long surpassed Rogue as my favorite fitness company.
I've got a ton of cash in my home gym setup and it's just good quality equipment. Rogue RM4, various Rogue bars and plates but I don't get why people would pay $2-3k(or more)for a cable machine when I can get a whole gym full for $20/mo at LA Fitness should I need them. Especially if all you really want are cable machines and dumbbells. I get it for barbells, squat racks, nice plates, etc, but of your main focus is cables and dumbbells a globogym will supply everything you need for a lot less.
😊
