Thank you for linking & showing our Pendulum Squat V2! We've been working on a Leg Press + Hack Squat for nearly 2 years, that we think will blow every other combo machine out of the water 👀. ETA is June 2025 - we can't wait to get this to you for review!
@@joshkurt4765 Price has not been finalized, but it will be more expensive than the unit reviewed here, most likely just under $4K. This machine will not be for everyone, and we know that! The goal is to provide a truly perfect (or close to perfect) combo machine. It will be 4-in-1: Leg Press + Hack Squat + Seated + Standing Calf Raise, without having to swap and move stuff around. Partial list of features: - Insane ROM on both sides - Less than 45 degrees (exact angle will be shared soon) - Massive footplates on both sides with easy angle adjustments on both sides - Heavy-duty 11ga construction & crazy amount of plate storage (with some neat space-saving modular options) - Ability to band & reverse band & MUCH more! Stay tuned 😉👀
For all the Canadians there is also a company called Gear For Fit that sell what seems to be this exact same model under the name "GF Outlaw Adjustable Leg Press Hack Squat Combo" They also sell a bunch of other re-branded equipment that seem to be from the same overseas manufacturers as Rep, Titan, Bells of Steel, etc. Usually for a cheaper price too.
Thank you. I just checked the price on the Gear for Fit site. The Canadian price is 1999.99$ Cdn. The Canadian dollar was 069,5 USD on Dec 31. That's a saving of more than 30%.
I own the Deltech Hack Squat Leg Press combo mentioned at the end and I love it. Just like coop said it’s the same thing without the extra branding. $2,000 shipped with minimal defects. I don’t have experience with their customer service because there really was no need to reach out. Had it delivered right up the driveway in a wooden crate and assembled it that day. It’s a beast. All 600lbs of it!
To be completely fair with a unit like this where you are going to be lifting a lot of weight you want something that is well built, good materials and thought through safety features. There are plenty of cheap alternatives that are half as much but I would be terrified to use them haha
Very true. You can buy an entire home gym for $2,000 on Temu. I bought a Smith Machine with a upper and lower cable pulley for less than $316.18, a Home Leverage Gym with lever arms and an upper and lower cable pulley also for less than $293.75, and a belt squat machine also for less than $318.63. I also bought a seated row machine for $226.79, lat pull-down machine for $100.87, biceps curl & triceps extension machine for $114.97, cable crossover machine for $146.23, chest press machine for $117.34, and a glute ham developer for $248.94. All 9 major exercise machines COMBINED cost me less than $2,000. Many U.S. exercise equipment companies are buying exercise equipment at low prices from China and selling them for 2, 3, and sometimes 4 times what Temu is selling the same or similar exercise equipment for. The problem is Trump is about to slap a huge tariff increase on Chinese goods. So the window of opportunity to buy affordable exercise equipment from Temu will probably close in 3 weeks when Donald Trump becomes U.S. President again. Trump has already said that slapping a big tariff increase on Chinese goods is one of the first U.S. Presidential executive orders that he plans to issue on January 20, 2025.
Considering most commercial hack squats (single use) are at least double. And the Atlantis hack squat pro ( hack and compact leg press) is 10k, 2k seems pretty budget
If as asked you which is more budget friendly getting a very slightly used car that costs $31,000 or just getting a run of the mill used car for.... $9,000. I'd assume you'd say - easy, the $9k option. Why is it then so hard for people to get that pretty much anything under $3000 for actual gym machines - is a steal. If you Google Hammer Strength Leg Press (JUST a leg press) you'll see that over at fitneszone's website they are selling JUST the Leg Press for.... $7150. $2k for a leg press... AND a hack squat... AND a calf raise machine..... is a steal. People don't bat an eye at those who get a new $1300-1500 smart phone every year or every other year.... when that company's NON flagship and therefore far more affordable next tier down offerings are more than good enough and cost a fraction of the price.... and will last you at least 5-6 years. People don't comment on people "blowing" $5 on a Starbucks coffee.... when they can make their own at home for pennies.... or just go to a gas station and get the same sized coffee for like... $2. You think $2000 for gym equipment is expensive. Ok. I assume you don't lift often... or probably just don't even have a home gym and instead have a gym membership. That's the vibe I'm getting at least. Just like I don't get why people "blow money" on cars they don't need and could get by with a far cheaper used offering, or why people... even go to stores to just buy a cup of coffee. It's almost as nonsensical as those who buy bottled water. Probably that more so because all bottled water is... is bottled tap water from some place, haha. Like.... just turn on a faucet and start drinking that "free" water that comes out. Oh... i also don't get how people think eating "healthy" or what I just call - properly - is just "too expensive"..... despite the fact the junk, shit food they buy is just as if not WAY more expensive. Like the thing to culture now is bitch about how expensive McDonald's is. My thought process is 1) who's still gong to McDonald's, but then 2) the people who do go there are the ones who say eating properly is just not possible because it's too expensive. I can't recall there ever being a time where a single home cooked meal ran me anywhere remotely close to the, what, $20 a McDonald's combo meal costs nowadays. In fact...... I just did the math on my lunch. $2.72 is what it cost me. That's 8oz chicken, serving of brown rice, serving of frozen veggies, shredded mozzarella, and salsa.... to essentially make my own "Chipotle bowl." A Chipotle bowl.... which actually costs.... $14.... which includes tax. Fun fact... unless you live in one of the 13 gestappo states that tax groceries.... groceries AREN'T taxed. So my $2.72 DYI bowl vs Chipotle's burrito bowl for... $14..... 5x the price if you just made it yourself. C'mon. No one bats an eye at this stuff. Yet fail to see the deal a $2000 for a LP+HS+Calf machine is..... because they likely don't know that just Leg Presses... or just Hack Squats from name brand companies will cost EASILY $6,000.
08:55 The long yoke pads are great for doing good mornings, and it's a common shortfall of many hack squat machines because GMs can feel much better on a hack squat than even on a smith machine.
It's not commercial grade. I own a gym, and I bought two of their pieces. I had to fabricate multiple parts on the pieces in order to get it to work properly without breaking. The piece that gave me the most trouble was their yeti leg press. It broke within 3 weeks with only 500 lbs on it. It claims to hold 2700 lbs... and the issues aren't small and isolated issues. The issues are due to poor design.
I think one of the strategies these companies use is holding weight vs using weight. Sure it hold over 2,000 pounds, just don't use it or move it or it'll break. But it HOLDS it fine
Thanks, Coop for the review. Even more excited now that mine arrives next week. I will update you all if there's any hiccups. Fingers crossed the condition it arrives in is excellent.🤞
I own the ForceUSA combo unit and I am totally happy with it and it’s $900 cheaper than this one. Thanks for the great review Coop. Keep’m coming. Happy New Year!!!
@@pphan408 and @woodbutcherjc - now that I’ve had the unit a few days and run it through its paces, here’s what I have to say: The Good: unit is overbuilt like a tank. Everything is heavy duty, fits properly, easy to adjust and works as it should. I love the big footplates. Leg press is my favorite movement on it, but the hacksquat is a close second. Because it’s overbuilt, some beginners may find the sled weight too heavy for hacksquats. The Bad: instructions aren’t great. The unit is easy enough to build, but nothing is labeled. This is particularly frustrating with the hardware - as there are a lot of pieces that look very similar, so I had to spend the first 20 minutes labeling and sorting stuff. As Coop mentioned, the unit comes on large (LONG) crate… too long for most poor delivery drivers with a palette jack and small lift gate. Mine took a dive off the lift gate, put a small hole in my driveway and shattered the drivers palette jack wheels, which are made of metal, but thankfully my unit had zero damage and was well packed. All and all, by myself, everything tightened up it took me about 7-8 hours to sort, assemble, grease, and tighten. It’s a great piece and compliments my power rack and cross trainer perfectly. Love it! 👍
I have the Deltech version of this. I reached out to them with some questions prior to buying and their replies were prompt and helpful. They also have an assembly video on their UA-cam that helped enormously with the assembly. As you say, it's functionally the same as the Bolt version. I also completely agree with this review. The range of motion on Hack Squats is the biggest downside, but it's also not a huge deal. Great piece of equipment for the price. I use it multiple times per week.
@@curt248 Hard for me to say exactly. I don't have a lot of plates so I primarily do them with my feet as low and close as possible to increase the difficultly (typically have my heels hanging below the bottom edge of the foot plate). I do this for sets of 12 with around 300 pounds. I'd probably squat 12 reps with about 185, for comparisons sake.
I'd like to see a comparison of home gym pendulum squat machines - not sure how many are out there designed for home gym use. Bolt, Fettle Fitness, Elite Pro, Temple of Gains, GMWD, and Frech Fitness all have units, but ive never seen a comparison listing Pros and Cons
Currently using a ritfit leg press/hack squat and it’s been pretty good. Since purchasing a chest supported t bar row and selectorized forearm curl from Temple of Gainz I’ve begun rethinking my home gym purchases as quality is just so good. Can’t wait to see their combo and am planning to pick up their leg extension v2 as well!
Very similar to what ForceUSA offers! P.S. The longer shoulder pads are typically used for Forward Thrusts, Hack Squat Good Mornings, etc.. lots of functionality!
Love bolt fitness. Back in 2019 I opened a gym and had most all bolt. Their leg press was a beast and had about a 4 plate starting resistance. It was great. Had one guy load it with 23 plates and did 4-5 sets or 15-20 reps with no wraps or anything. Crazy
To get full range of motion, put a small yoga block between your shoulders and the “shoulder pads”. Should allow you to get a few more inches of depth. :)
Looks similar to new Ritfit Gazelle which is using 14 guage steel to keep the price down. Got mine for only 1k during black Friday, will be here in a few days and can't wait to set it up!
I believe the pads are long so that people can do reverse hacks. I have the Titan and the pads are short, making it difficult to do reverse hacks. It always feels like you are going to slip out from underneath the pads
Now that you’re obsessed with full ROM, get your hands on a Watson “Single Stack Leg Extension / Lying Leg Curl” - it’s the only stack based machine I’ve ever seen that has no back, so you can literally lay back flat while doing quad extensions for a gnarly quad stretch like no other - plus, from what I can tell, it has an infinitely adjustable pad position, so you can cinch that thing tight enough to lock your calves to the back of the seat pad! I got a quote for one at 4300 shipped, so I figured I’d see if you’d buy it first and see if it’s all I’m hoping it’ll be 😂
Now that GGR has firmly embraced larger/combo machines for the home gym community would love a video for how to move these heavier stand alone pieces of equipment in and out of the home with only 1-2 people. Do you need dolly's? Pallet jacks? What's the easiest and most reliable way to do it without breaking the bank or your back?
At some point, the only people with home gyms must have become all doctors and lawyers. Never thought I'd be priced out of a youtube review channel lol
Normally I have issues with the prices of things you've put up lately, but this isn't too bad for what is essentially 3-in-1, definitely good for those without the space needed for multiple machines. Commercial grade typically refers to the estimated number of uses the item can be used before it breaks in some way. Most items labeled are essentially 'prosumer', better than regular market but the minor things like the bolts, belts, chains, ect are regular grade.
It’s the foot print size that gets me. Leg presses take up a lot of floor space in a home gym. You really have to have a minimum 2 car garage space if you are doing a full size leg press. One car garages can’t afford that foot print space.
Cant wait for you to review some ATX equipment with them coming to the US market. Especially their pendulum squat and benches. Let's hope they don't get tarriffed.
He already did one for the Titan version and mentioned how a lot of the others all are similar... But the Force USA one does have that hack squat attachment which looks cool
@David.Eng. at 6 feet tall absolutely. There are 3 adjustment levels. On leg press I use the most conservative and it's still too much ROM for me. On hack I use the middle one with well below parallel. ROM is a total non issue for me. The only complaint (which will be true for this machine and confused why it wasn't raised in the review) is the non existent neck and head support on leg press and the substandard lumbar support hack squat. Coop is 5'9" so it is a good support for his back. And it's good enough for me, but its not ideal. The neck support flat doesn't exist. I literally use a rogue ab mat at the edge of the back pad in leg press mode to compensate for it. Machine operates very smoothly.
If they would have done this at a 35 degree angle and a larger weight peg it would be a perfect budget combo machine. My knees are in pain just looking at this angle. note: if you own this machine and want to hack squat deeper put stack some firm rubber mats on the footplate which will allow you to go deeper before bottoming out the machine.
Had the same experience with scuffs on the Outlaw I ordered a couple of weeks ago. It was minor enough that I didn’t bother asking for replacement parts. However, they sent me handles that were the incorrect length, causing the sled to hit the handles at about half depth in the hack squat. Their customer service sent new handles that were the proper length, but one of them was bent during shipping, and was unusable… Suffice to say, I think they need a bit of work on the shipping side of things.
To be fair most commercial hack squats can't go all the way either usually have to add something to the foot plate or shoulder pads to get full range of motion.
The depth on that thing is impressive. I have the similar machine from Rep. the safety stops which are welded inside the frame have got to go. Thinking about cutting them out. Otherwise barely shoe to go 90 degrees let alone knees to chest.
What do you think about RitFits version or their new one they released the Gazelle Pro? I am in the market for one of these and an leg extension/curl machine
Id like to see a tips video for substituting movements for those of us with basic starter setups. Went with a setup similar to “how to: build an all Amazon home gym” that ggr posted two years ago and don’t have access to a lot of the larger pieces like this just the basic attachments and struggle to feel like I’m using the most affective substitutions for the bigger commercial pieces or movements.
My REP Arcadia showed up with some significant damage to one of the uprights but not enough to diminish functionality and REP wouldn't replace it without replacing the entire piece of equipment. It happens.
Thanks. Very good review and looks a good product. Could you review the Kabuki strength squat pad? Some bold claims from them that it replaces SS bars. Be interested in your views.
Can we get a review of the signature fitness hip thrust machine!? Its on sale for 300$ on the Walmart website and genuinely looks phenomenal for that price. Was disappointed to not see it in the tier list video but does that mean its so shit it didn't make the list or its that much of a hidden gem?
@@mikesmith379 Yeah it looks very tempting but the only review i could find of it does not show the belt squat portion so im concerned it may just be in the image and not an actual component that is included. Lets hope Coop can help us out!
Angled leg curl machines and pendulum squat reviews would be huge for me. Are there any good standing calf raises machines out there? Perhaps the pendulum could do both?
I'm a big fan of doing good mornings in a hack squat by walking in backwards. I'm wondering if the extra long shoulder pads might be more functional if you try that movement
POWER RACK WITH LEVER ARMS AND CABLES FROM RACK TO HOOK ON TO LEVERS AT RESISTANCE CURVE OR REST ON SAFETY SPOTTERS . ADJUSTABLE BENCH AT ANGLE OR USE FLOOR . BUDGET LEG PRESS
I have the Titan hacks squat and leg press and I don't really like the lack of depth my clients can get when doing Leg presses and hack Squats. This machine looks promising but I really wish that you could get full depth on the hack Squat.
@@Megabear90I appreciate the idea here. I was thinking about building a small box to attach to it while doing hack squats so you can get lower. @Megabear90
Legit plan to do this if when mine arrives i can't get full ATG. This is one of the best combo home gym machines per reviews for ROM. So, feel like making a small platform to add for hacks won't be much of an issue for me personally.
Can you do more reviews of accessories for PRX racks? Specifically the Profile rack (2x3). Looking for best cable setup, any way to add smith machine attachment? Currently using PullyPro on upper pullup bar and 1x on lowest hole in upright (had to use a Rogue attachment to get a carabiner to attach to) with a PRX pulley on the other lowest hole (had to replace a worn out PulleyPro). This setup does not really allow for any adjustment - the pulleys are where they are.
I don't do business with bolt. I bought some jammers from them 4 or 5 years ago. Took forever and were poor at communication. Then the first one I received (there was a unit shipping lost) the plate horns were literally too thick to accept most plates and different plate sizes from the same set got hung up at different points. Then after a million years they sent me a replacement handle. Same problem. Go force USA for this machine. They had the same basic design and have been doing it longer. Also forgit to add the point of articulation was jacked up and the tiny hardware keeping it in place gets loose extremely easily and it gets off track. Total.pain.

I swear his mustache cracks me up
So cringey
Increase your hack rom by adding some wood between the shoulder pads and the frame. I do this on my force USA, have added 6 inches of depth to it!
I got a quote for one at 4300 shipped, so I figured I’d see if you’d buy it first and see if it’s all I’m hoping it’ll be 😂
Also, the Watson Tru Squat is supposed to be phenomenal as well - if you like the pendulum, you’d probably LOVE it
Now that GGR has firmly embraced larger/combo machines for the home gym community would love a video for how to move these heavier stand alone pieces of equipment in and out of the home with only 1-2 people.
Are you going to do a force USA compact leg press review?
I have the force USA very happy with it
He already did one for the Titan version and mentioned how a lot of the others all are similar... But the Force USA one does have that hack squat attachment which looks cool
@b2284 bolt is almost a 1:1 rip off of the force model though with a few small changes. I be the back pad is even interchangable.
@@AmorFati777X can you get a full stretch on your quads below parallel on both the hack squat and “leg press” movements?
@David.Eng. at 6 feet tall absolutely.
You guys should do some of the home gym pec deck options for a vid!
Their customer service sent new handles that were the proper length, but one of them was bent during shipping, and was unusable…
Suffice to say, I think they need a bit of work on the shipping side of things.
The yoke pads are so long so you can face the ground instead of just the ceiling, it’s just another way to do the hack squad movement
You should create merch. Stop giving Patagonia free advertising
Great review! If you’re in Houston be sure to go to the Bolt showroom!
Absolutely
To be fair most commercial hack squats can't go all the way either usually have to add something to the foot plate or shoulder pads to get full range of motion.
The depth on that thing is impressive. I have the similar machine from Rep. the safety stops which are welded inside the frame have got to go. Thinking about cutting them out. Otherwise barely shoe to go 90 degrees let alone knees to chest.
Pendulum squat reviews would be great.
Have you done force usas?
What do you think about RitFits version or their new one they released the Gazelle Pro?
I am in the market for one of these and an leg extension/curl machine
🔥🔥 good review coop let go!!! Happy New Year to you and your family 💪😎 keep up the good work
Id like to see a tips video for substituting movements for those of us with basic starter setups. Went with a setup similar to “how to: build an all Amazon home gym” that ggr posted two years ago and don’t have access to a lot of the larger pieces like this just the basic attachments and struggle to feel like I’m using the most affective substitutions for the bigger commercial pieces or movements.
Coop! When are we gonna see the Rogue FM Twin Stack vs Area/Athena???
I was curious about the Body Solid version because of the smaller footprint with horns under the sled. Would love to see a comparison.
Both are with to less range of Motion. I had the Body Solid, it was shit!
I’d love to see you review the Force USA leg press/hack squat.
My REP Arcadia showed up with some significant damage to one of the uprights but not enough to diminish functionality and REP wouldn't replace it without replacing the entire piece of equipment. It happens.
Rep has turned to shit
Looks like a steal at that price! And it also can be used as a belt squat.
@@mikesmith379 Yeah it looks very tempting but the only review i could find of it does not show the belt squat portion so im concerned it may just be in the image and not an actual component that is included. Lets hope Coop can help us out!
@@themartinantunez well maybe some day, but I doubt he will get to it before that clearance deal is gone. 🤷♂️
I think they did a review of it in their other channel…Garage Gym Reviews Everything
Yoga blocks on the shoulders for the hack squat for extra ROM.
Do a pendulum squat review and include the RitFit Hack Squat rack attachment with a slant board and do pendulum squats with that
The French fitness monster LP/HS has a 6 inch wider leg press foot plate.
I can't make this up, mine was arriving at my house around the exact time this video came out. Talk about coincidence!
I would love to see reviews on Temple of Gainz products. There aren't many out there and they seem to have a great price / value offering.
Let’s see the gymleco reviews!
You should do a review on the Temple of Gains Multi Flight.
Bolt Fitness right out of H town
Please review best pendulum on a budget
Just used mine this morning
Can You review ForceUSA 45 degrees Leg Press/Hack Squat Combo?
POWER RACK WITH LEVER ARMS AND CABLES FROM RACK TO HOOK ON TO LEVERS AT RESISTANCE CURVE OR REST ON SAFETY SPOTTERS . ADJUSTABLE BENCH AT ANGLE OR USE FLOOR . BUDGET LEG PRESS
OH YEAH BABY
Feel like long shoulder pads are for the standing calf raises (which you did not use).
Good equipment, and well priced, like fettle fitness
Would like a pendulum squat review please
i BEEN saying these machine's need to be 5-1: Hack, Leg Press, Calf Raise and PENDULUM!
physically impossible
The shoulder pads are long because people do hip hinges facing the back pad
I have the Titan hacks squat and leg press and I don't really like the lack of depth my clients can get when doing Leg presses and hack Squats. This machine looks promising but I really wish that you could get full depth on the hack Squat.
I usually fix the depth Problem by adding a few Stallmats on the footplate
@@Megabear90I appreciate the idea here. I was thinking about building a small box to attach to it while doing hack squats so you can get lower. @Megabear90
Coop: you have a doppleganger on another UA-cam channel called Daily Dose of Wisdom. I would swear you two are related! Even has the same mustache!
Please review the REP Wall Mounted Athena!
It would be great to see the Rogers Atheltics Pendullum Power Squat Pro XT.
You can get a nautilus leg press shipped with tax for under 3k. They are the cheapest unquestionably commercial
Can you review the Ritfit leg press/hack squat machine?
Review Jacked Up Fitness Pro model
Couldn’t you ad a foot pad to make it possible to get a more stretch?
Legit plan to do this if when mine arrives i can't get full ATG. This is one of the best combo home gym machines per reviews for ROM. So, feel like making a small platform to add for hacks won't be much of an issue for me personally.
Can you review the Prime Fitness plate loaded pulldown and plate loaded seated row?!
Would adding some blocks while doing the hack squat help with ROM? If you aren't topping out the range on full extension...
How does the leg press feel if you're just doing single leg?
Review the tomahawk belt squat!
Please review the EonfitOmni 3 In 1 Leg Press Hack Squat Machine.
I would love something like this but the footprint just doesn't work well in my space. Next house will definitely have a 2 car garage.
Did they go to the Force USA leg press/hack squat design and hit cut and paste ? This is an almost like for like copy.
I would like to see some atx machines (pendulum squat) or some brands that are more europees located
Isn’t the general consensus not to lift your heels on leg press?
What are the dimensions of the room you are recording in for this video?
How come Coops is not jacked?
I don't do business with bolt. I bought some jammers from them 4 or 5 years ago. Took forever and were poor at communication. Then the first one I received (there was a unit shipping lost) the plate horns were literally too thick to accept most plates and different plate sizes from the same set got hung up at different points.
Then after a million years they sent me a replacement handle. Same problem.
Go force USA for this machine. They had the same basic design and have been doing it longer.
Also forgit to add the point of articulation was jacked up and the tiny hardware keeping it in place gets loose extremely easily and it gets off track. Total.pain.
You are legit my favorite ego lifter. Good day to you.
The new Ritfit Gazelle Pro is just as good but almost half the price.
Coop, what do you think about the body craft combo unit on Amazon for the same price as this one?
Have you tried the gymleco?
Gymlecos Hack squat and leg press are two superior Single machines which are perfect for an Home Gym but pricey
This looks like my Bodycraft machine
How much weight will it hold?
SMITH MACHINE AND LYING ON THE FLOOR ( PADDING and FOOT PLATES/HOOKS) . BUDGET LEG PRESS (with SAFETY SPOTTERS)
