This was another level entirely. Of course this is an enormously popular tune, and has already appeared to virtually all listeners as a composition that sought to embody a range of complexity and depth which we associate with the finest classical music. But it’s always remained close to that ambition yet not quite reaching it. Many pianists, including exceptional performers and arrangers, have tried to transcribe it for piano as a serious composition, not a mere pop song. But none have been able to depart from the raucous pop performance of Queen and still preserve the depth of the ambition of Freddy Mercury. Until now. I’m not sure why this works so well as a serious composition, but it does. Maybe it’s the evenness of the tempo? The smoothness of the transitions? I’m not sure. But this works on many levels. Bravo!

That is probably the best “ACCURATE” version I’ve heard on piano. There must be hundreds on UA-cam but far too many (very good pianists) over egg the pudding. Just play it like Freddie did!! That’s the one we all love. The one at the Hammersmith in 74/75 when Queen knocked us all for six with that video. OMG that’s 45 years ago

I’ve heard a lot of piano covers of Bohemian Rhapsody, but this is by far the best. I’ve often wondered whether the piano renditions can stand by themselves as pieces, without knowing the original ie. without our brains adding the vocals. My answer for this is now a resounding yes! So it’s brilliant, Ulrika. A very contemporary piece of piano music.

Very nice! A lot to memorize but you evidently have a great memory. I cannot read music. Anything I have learned to play, I had to memorized them. I can play maybe 6 or 7 songs now and I have only taken the piano up for about 4 1/2 years now. Not many songs but all mean a great deal to me. I find that playing piano is great therapy and absolutely dive right into it when I find the time. Your playing is spectacular and I am so happy that I have found your channel. Cheers!

I love this music and the way you play it. I played piano until I was 18, than I’ve stopped for a long time. After more than 25 years I restarted studying in 2020, and I can say that playing piano is one of the things that make me really happy.
