Metal Detecting at the Location I Can't Tell You About!

  • This summer I was able to go metal detecting at a special location that I can't tell you about. 🏴󠁺󠁡󠁦󠁳󠁿 GOLD Find of a Lifetime ➡️ • Find of A Lifetime | M... This location was very historically significant in the mid 1800s even before Colorado was officially a State. The site was home to one of the many Pony Express stops and we had the opportunity to join forces with a local archaeologist and his team to save as much history as we could. I belong to the Historical Artifact Recovery Team within my treasure hunting club, Eureka Treasure Hunters Club in Denver, and occasionally we are activated to go to a historic property to help in the recovery and preservation of historical artifacts. This video talks about the partnership between detectorists and archaeologists and how it can work successfully as well as showing some of the finds we were able to recover.
Much about this hunt needs to remain private as there are pending publications to consider and the exact location and historical significance has been withheld to honor the request of the archaeologist until a later date. What's is it like, digging in 103f degree weather, in the middle of the prairie with no shade or cover? Come check it out and lets go metal detecting in Colorado.
