How else do you hold the membrane against the wall?...Glue? You need to drill holes with fasteners, then provide a sealant onto the fasteners - works perfect! Additionally, you will use drain tiles to sump pump or French drain going to daylight or pit
Ya. The last few step they drill on the wall to install the barrier. This damage the waterproofing they have done. Water will be seeping from those holes
Mark Anderson Waterproofing on youtube does this, with some variations. The first several steps are what he does, but he uses 6 mill visqueen over the tar. Then backfills with pea stone gravel. Also he checks the drain tiles to make sure they are in good working order. -- I appreciate that you get the problem on the OUTSIDE where the water first comes in. Stop the problem at its source.
Best houses built were those ones built by those Irish guys , that’s what I noticed around me on the south west side of chicago and suburbs from the concrete to the roofs ,
Why tf would you put soil back in the trench that can over time become compacted, or just hold a bunch of water near the wall pressing on the wall? You’re supposed to backfill with gravel that leaves voids, and run perforated pipe to a storm drain.
So I have river rock next to my house and get just a little water I want to get rid of the rock and put mulch down, but do I put the under payment down? Or no let the rest of the water drain?
This doesn't seems DIY. I want to do it DIY. Because for 40 ft I got quote for 7000 dollars plus 13% HST which comes to almost 7910, that is a lot of money.
No drain? No filter fabric? Drilling holes in your dimple board? Backfilling with dirt instead of rock? Man, this couldn't be a worse example of what to do. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS VIDEO. Watch someone who does all of the above.
So they waterproofed the wall and then drilled holes in it and backfilled with the same crappy clay that caused the cracks. DAMN !!!
If you don't have a fucking clue just keep your stupid comments in your head

@@johnnygalvan845 Yes, GLUE.
Glue and the thousand pounds of soil holding it against the wall lol it’s not going anywhere once you fill it in
Was thinking the same I’m like noooooo they punctured the waterproof lmaooo

How else does the barrier stay on the wall..glue?? You need to drill and install fasteners, then sealant onto fasteners - works perfect!
@@johnnygalvan845Glue and a ton of soil?
Super plugs interlock into the membrane where the hole is. No water is getting in those holes. This is standard practice
all that diggin and no drain tile damn
Exactly! The most important part is missing!
You only run tile if you're digging a crawl or running a drywall or French drain
@@jakezablocki57 so where does the water go?
@jakezablocki57 so exterior drain tile isn't real?

What’s the visqueen do?
OSHA would have a field day with these guys. Let’s dig a 6’ deep x 2’ wide hole, bend down and work at our feet.

well, if you look closely, you can see that they installed a new perforated pipe along the footer.
