    This might be the ultimate solution for my electric motorcycle project. I designed a monocoque 2 years ago that can hold 48 Nissan Leaf units. As such these are rather heavy for a motorcycle because they are all individually encased in metal. It did however lead to an internally 225 mm wide design monocoque in which a lot of different solllutions can be packed so I went ahead with building it anyway. The cells you show are actually still on the small side for my design! Since my monocoque is completely steel already I should even be able to use metal casings that are even more minimal then the one you add! :-)

    would it be possible to stack them in different ways and connect the different layers to one big? Like yours a bit shorter and then some chells on top. So that it looks like a motor with cylinder?

    • @clearconcisecourteous9647
      @clearconcisecourteous9647 2 роки тому +1

      🤔🤔🤔...
      ✅️ exactly...
      Being able to stack them in long and short pieces in different angles would allow me to make a hollow "V-twin" case for the batteries and Brushless electric motor on the bottom. Then put the controller and recharger/maintainer in the modified tank.

    I have this battery on a bicycle I bought 6 months ago and from the first day the battery cuts off my power! After filming the BMS application, I found that 6 cells drop below 3V voltage and the other cells remain 0.5 volts higher. At the top, at the connecting blades, I have a temperature sensor that in 10 seconds reaches a temperature of 60 degrees and the BMS enters thermal protection. The standby battery is perfectly balanced, when I draw from it 200A those 6 cells drop very quickly below 2.8V. Is it possible that the screws on the blades are loose and therefore do not hold those 6 cells in charge? What advice would you give me to check? And one more thing, I can't discharge the battery more than 40% because those cells go into voltage protection! A tip from you can help me a lot to enjoy this battery. Thank you very much!

    Pretty much any decent 18650 cell today exceeds 500+ cycles without problems.
    A VTC6 pack of similar capacity is almost 10kg lighter while allowing same power..
    You could even charge such a pack at 6kw with active cooling, 3kw passive no issues.

    • @TheLawnWanderer
      @TheLawnWanderer 4 роки тому

      My point is that a 18650 VTC6/30Q pack of similar weight and size has more capacity and power, and just as good if not better lifetime when derated to 4.0v charging while also then having similar capacity at that point.
      Only disadvantage cylindrical cells have over pouch times is being harder to work with.
