I'm Brazilian and I make a point of buying physical volumes from Japan every month. This story deserves much more recognition, but unfortunately it's not shared as much... here in Brazil, the community is slowly growing and I really want to see the paths that Tsutomu will take continue to this story
I loved Nihei's lore in this story and his version of the Basilysk: a giant moth with the 'eyes' (that according to popular lore, turn people into stone) painted on its wings.
I'm so glad someone is talking about this. Tower Dungeon might be Nihei's best work since.. not just Sidonia, BIOMEGA even! I love that it's basically a grimdark fantasy with wholesome characters, AND THE FIGHTS! Holy molely! Great video! 👍
I love Sidonia. I also love nihei's art style and his musings on the curse of infinity. An Immortal would be the loneliest being around... and I absolutely loved the Immortal characters in Sidonia. My head canon is that there is only 1 Immortal and all others are cloned from him. I also really enjoy the "monsters" he creates. They all have a bit of DAFUQ built in.

I've been looking for a good manga with knights to read recently and this scratches that itch so well! Really digging the art style as well. Reminds me of my sketchbook style in some senses. Maaaaaan I didn't even realize this nihei until I was up to date and just looking at the cover art. Then I was like ohhhh no wonder I've become obsessed with it haha
Not only has fujimoto recommend this He's directly called Chainsaw Man A Pop Abara, which is another series Nihei has made. He's been a huge inspiration for him
I love the medieval fantasy setting I just hate a bunch of the newer ones better to light-hearted I like the darker ones like berserk goblin Slayer and then this one now
14 chapters. But these last two chapters aren't even about yuva and co 😭 I'll have to come back to this story next year. Probably when I'm 19. Fk this is depressing.
