In one of Triangle City's videos he talks about a cut town west of Goodsprings, but the terrain was still there, alongside some plants. Maybe that's why the bush is in there?
Thanks for showing everyone the north-central platform and the mojave ocean! I didn't find any evidence of the platform online so to me it feels like my one true discovery in the game! I will say you can get back onto the map pretty easily if you fall onto the platform or into the ocean. Walking into the glitchy wall under the cliff will teleport you back to the top of it.
@@Chungus666 Of course Chungus! Thank you for supporting the channel and of your recommendations!! You’ve been a tremendous help. It is definitely an interesting and cool discovery. Keep exploring out there wastelander!
There are few things I feel like adding about the outbounds areas because I find them extremely interesting. Mojave Outpost seems *roughly* inspired by Mountain Pass, its a real area tucked into that mountain in real life. Beyond the Canyon Wreckage is Sandy Valley. I've spent quite a lot of time looking at the areas around Vegas on Google Maps with Topography on. Looking at the map and location of the Divide it seems like its meant to be in that little valley. As someone else in the comments said it was also supposed to be the location of another town, I have a feeling Obsidian recycled the real Sandy Valley for the Divide. The area by Nellis is really interesting because Nellis AFB is in the wrong place within the game of FNV. Real life NAFB is on the west side of the mountains while in game it is nestled within a little valley directly northeast of Vegas. When Obsidian was making FNV I believe they generated the map using scaled down geographic data, so I have a feeling a good chunk of the terrain outside of the playable space is just left over geography from when they made the map. With that in mind I have a feeling the huge chunk by Nellis is a bug because there is nothing over there, although maybe it could be the dip into the real life muddy river, which would explain the water. Anyways, I love the channel, keep up the hard work :)!
Very cool video, was interested in doing this myself to see what was out there. Obviously not expecting any of the stranger stuff from the drb0sch videos to be real, but I was wondering if the like ruined houses or campfire were out there, like distant scenery placed there by devs to make out of bounds look more believably real.
Kinda surprised there isnt more FNV horror considering how actually terrifying the game is sometimes
@@morgalorga1987 Agreed! Drb0sch’s series was awesome
sounds like a challenge

@@HK-pq7pe I’m sure you’re on to something here!! Especially since the bush is almost directly west of Goodsprings

@@jetainzedan7946 Wow! This is an awesome analysis and some really important information! Thank you so much for sharing your input!
You can jump out of the nellis AFB fence climbing on one of the watchtowers and then explore the huge area out of bondaries there.
@@matteoorlandi856 Thanks for the info! Good to know!
Who else was upset when you found out there isn’t a secret horror outside the bounds an that one guys video was just a mod
Soooo sad hahaha. That would be perhaps the most epic easter egg of all time!

Wow really cool video! I also hope new Vegas gets more horror type stuff. really cool use of the ambient noises in this video

the editing is really good on this one:)
Thank you so much!!
Great video, very interesting.

Wait so drbosh was fake?
sadly the drbosch videos are faked. But it's an interesting world of it's own. Can't wait for the next drbosch video!
Kinda disappointed there isn't actually a "Hell" (dr.b0sh videos) in the game :/
But great video!
No doubt, it would be epic!
