Thank you. Amazing how Tommy play’s. Accents, rithme, damping bas notes but all in perfect time. And then the cords and rifs. I never try his songs. I play guitar nicely but this… I find it incredible. I could learn his songs, but never like he does. I enjoy it though… many hours on youtube. I went to see him in Amsterdam. Hope to see him again. I saw his immense tour programm. Incredible as well. Day after day. What a musician.

We are so fortunate to have tickets to see him again, this time with dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas, on November 30, 2023 in Dallas, TX at The Majestic Theater! Tommy is not only fabulously talented, he just loves to play and it's obvious to everyone in the audience! And being paired with Jerry Douglas made this concert impossible to ignore!
I saw that tour with Jerry Douglas, and much as I admire his work when he's part of a group I just couldn't work out where he was coming from when playing solo. Sounded great when playing along with Tommy but of course they were tunes that I already knew. It was such a shame, because he played brilliantly, but I was glad when he'd finished.

Tommy often plays in parallel, keeping two complementary lines of music playing together The only other guitarists who I have seen do something similar are highly trained classical guitarists.
If Tommy is the greatest guitarist, his dear departed brother he sings of, Phil, wasn't far behind. To be truthful, after decades of listening to them both, I still can't split them.

However, Thomas, although the super showman and CGP, is a very narcissistic person, who has several (many notches) in his belt from duets with women in his profession. Truth: none of them have complained. I heard that he thinks stroke survivors are whiners and pissants, and actually tried to engage some sort of fisticuffs as a way of proving whatever point he was trying to make. Do NOT confuse talent with humanistic values!
