My Grandfather worked on the line at Stude's. During the late 40's and early 50's he hung doors. I grew up in So. Bend. At one time about 1/3 of all cars there were Stude's.
They were not great vehicles but they were inexpensive. My grandfather drove his '50 Champion until 1973. He could no longer drive it,even though it only had 43,000 miles on it, because of severe rust. By the way: Stude had a testing site west on hwy.2. It was named studebaker testing grounds. We just called it studebaker hill.
i don't know how i found this channel but i'm glad i did

PLEASE SUPPORT THE NATIONAL STUDEBAKER MUSEUM THIS WINTER.
@johnbehneman1546 Tell us more, is there a fundraiser?
I would like to redesign that Studebaker Museum! The building is totally uninteresting.
That would be a fascinating project. Thanks so much for watching.
What is so uninteresting about it? I was there. I'm there to learn and see the cars. Not everything else to sidetrack me
