Shoot, one was Wonder of Color, and I'm not sure about the other. I wanted to go to the shows but didn't make it on the 25th or the 7th. I missed out though because apparently they stepped up their game and there were some aerial acrobatics involved. Saw someone post a short video, so they are DEFINITELY worth checking out. They run at the sane time as the comedy shows though, so you have to choose between the two, and run like immediately after other Atrium events, so you just have to be prepared to have it in your schedule, which isn't hard.
I keep looking at this ship and possibly considering, but it just doesn’t give me that Carnival feel-please do another video once you finish your cruise to let us know your thoughts
The reason for IT is because it was originally a Costa brand ship destined for China in 2019. Circumstances changed and Carnival took over this one and the Venezia. They wasn't styled to the Carnival brand until the overhaul. That's why it's different.
Mixed reviews. I enjoyed the ship, Keith didn't... but he not a Carnival fan thanks to Radiance. Our room 7208 was problematic as being categorized as Fully Accessible but no access to the bathroom bc no clearance between the bed and wall, no matter HOW the beds are arranged. 2 videos posted to show this. Buffet line is REALLY bad, but I prefer the dining room and Medici table 224 with Ivon and Joe servicing that section provided IMMEDIATE service! As SOON as I moved a plate to the side they removed it and brought my next course. Fastest service EVERY on ANY cruise, and this was #21, beginning July 2022. No Shaq's, and no Chopsticks (Venezia), but they had a Chicken Shack that was ok, and Asian menu that would be served at Chopsticks in Michaelangelo dining room on a Sea Day. Il Viaggio was EXCELLENT and possibly the best specialty dining on the ship. Fahrenheit 555 we didn't enjoy AT ALL. I expect both Bonzai restaurant options to be good, even though we didn't dine at either, but on Panorama Bonzai Teppanyaki was excellent and you get A LOT of food. Serenity Deck was beautiful and peaceful, same as the Terraza outdoor area that is open to EVERYONE beginning at 7pm (not great if you booked a Terraza room for exclusivity), and Moda Lounge is very nice but I never saw a live band like the Havana lounge has. There WAS an area for a live band though, so might be on future sailings and I possibly missed it. The Salad Creations on the Serenity Deck is only open Sea Days and limited hours. Took me until the last day to see it open. The retractable roof was NEEDED from Day 1, but never closed until the last day, making EVERYONE happy that we could stop FREEZING! True to Carnival, the inside of the ship was an ice box, so we froze most of the time indoors and out, so PACK A SWEATER or JACKET. Ruined my dreams of daily wardrobe changes bc I was NOT prepared with matching jackets, and only packed ONE LIGHT jacket. The casino was paying out. I did a video call with someone on the May 2 sailing and advised her to play the Leprechauns. She did and hit the $800 MAJOR!! Dragon Link, Devil and Shark Lock, All Aboard middle machine in the back close to the casino host desk, some of the Multi games, and a few other games were all hitting jackpots, high hand pays, and many 10k and above grand jackpots were hit beginning night 1 and continued until the last night. My biggest complaint and issue was the water temperature of ALL 6 jacuzzis! My video is a LIE! IDK WHAT I was feeling as far as temperature in this video but NONE of the jacuzzis EVER got hot when people were in them. When you turn the bubbles on they do get warmer, but it's literally like adding hot water to a bathtub, only to have the heat be short-lived. They NEVER got HOT. CRUSHED my dreams of being in the jacuzzi at night when yes, it was COLD, or even in the day, which is not preferred bc crowded. Oh, the pool in the back of the Lido deck was SUPER CROWDED bc there was only the 1 other small pool that the adults left to be overrun by the kids. This sailing was NOT overly full of kids. They were there and present, but when you thought about it, you realized you really didn't see a bunch of kids (on THIS sailing). So with more kids and only 2 small pools, they will DEFINITELY be too crowded, so sit in 1 of the many, many loungers onboard!🤣🤣 Keith DID like the outdoor smoking sections, especially the deck 5 lanai area. No BBQ.. at least not REAL BBQ like Pig & Anchor. Menu read "BBQ CHICKEN" at La Strada on deck 5, but idk any BBQ meat that has marinara sauce on it 👀. Didn't get it, so didn't try it, so YOU be the judge... if you dare! I didn't like that they charged for wings of all things to charge for, but Keith was disgruntled with the buffet food options 1 night and bought them. They were good, but idk if worth $10 for 10 wings in comparison to the price of other upcharge items on a cruise ship, like only $5 for a 3rd entree, and $23 for surf and turf or Lamb chops, etc in the dining room. Room temperature was fine and self-controlled. I DID use my portable fan bc with the halls and outside being so cold we kept the heater turned all the way up in the room and in the middle of the night it got too hot, so the mini fan gave just the right balance. Debarkation was a nightmare, BUT there were A LOT of factors that went into that, and ALL were extraordinary circumstances that just happened to ALL come together on that 1 day, so I don't expect that to be an ongoing issue and NONE of it was the crew's fault or in their control. For wheelchair there are only 7 chairs and 7 pushers for Carnival, so service is SLOW with long waits and THAT will be consistent and something to consider if need wheelchair. The digital disembarkation was a waste of time and you STILL have to go pick up luggage tags, so if want a low number, go get tags right away once they announce (or not) that they are out. I found them in the hallway outside Pixels on Deck 5 and ONLY because I was filming areas like La Strada that I didn't have yet, to put together another full ship tour video (minus the spa and fitness center again...oops). Don't forget you can bring cans of soda, juice, etc onboard and 2 bottles maximum of wine and/or champagne. Cruise Director Joey AND the Fun Squad were great! Parties were full and fun. Club didn't always get full, but that means not too crowded, and the people who WERE inside were having the greatest time EVER. Comedians were good, Quest is in the Limelight Lounge and not theater, the musicians onboard are incredible, elevators are like Panorama where you select a floor and it tells you where and what letter elevator to wait for. Idk how but our elevator to disembark was EMPTY...from deck 7, but that was pure luck. 😊
There were quite a few. I remember Marvels, The Color Purple, Elementals, Fast X, and there were more. Best thing is that after the Inaugural they had the roof closed at night so the movies were in comfortable temps, and the Lido deck pool under the roof is heated
Seems weird that the ship does not have a funnel. Thanks for the tour. Wife and I will be on that ship in October after multiple sailings on the panorama. 🎉
The reason is because it was previously a Costa Brand Ship. Carnival took over it and the Venezia. These are test ship's to see if they will serve Carnival. They decided to KEEP the old model instead of the funnel for a throwback feel to Costa and for monetary purposes too. It costs too much money to change that. I actually prefer it. It gives it more sophistication and separates it from the other classes of ship's in the line.
Enjoy! Many people compared Firenze to Panorama while onboard. General consensus was they like Panorama better as a ship. Mind you, Firenze is mostly sailing 3, 4, and 5 night itineraries so the main alternative is Radiance, and hands down Firenze is preferred over Radiance. Buffet line is a drawback on Firenze because gets super long and everyone has to go past the fruit and salad to get to the entrees even if only looking to get an entree selection.
It would be helpful to see more of your great ship videos if you didn’t have the screen-in-screen on, missed some of what you’re showing.😢
