An overnight wild camp over Helvellyn in the Lake District, from Keswick to Grasmere. A great couple of days on the hills, practising navigation and fieldcraft and enjoying the fantastic views.
he's back.....and the wanderer returns, thought you had gone absent without leave.. beautiful part of the world...wettest place in the uk its said....thank you another deeply engrossing vid....by a consummate professional....you need your on TV program.
I love Helvellyn one of my favourite mountains, took my Mrs up there a few years ago, she had a complete sense of humour failure everytime we got to a false summit!! 😂😂😂 we climbed up from Wythburn car park
Those views are pretty epic, Mr. B. I'm loving them,,, especially the drone footage! There is no veggie meal that is nice. My better half is a veggie and she is always unhappy with her veggie meals, unless she makes her own 🤣 Heading off for some Great Tongue as I type. Gotta drop the phone, the old bill are behind me 😂
Never seen the lake district so dry 🤣 Looked like a nice couple of days on the hills and those pints at the end, they always taste like the best pint ever. Great vid 👍
Wonderful area, (the names around there often raise a chuckle) you had some great weather! Hunters chicken and vegan sausage, we need to get a meal sponsor lined up for you. Great video and the drone footage highlighted the views and indeed how high you climbed on the walk. Looking forward to the next one
great yomp that, been down that stepped path a few times from helvellyn then up to fairfeild and back to ambelside. did red screes once after fairfeild, killer walking back down kerkstone pass though 😊
You know how to treat a lady tom😉. Looked a cracking bimble mate, definitely a helps using poles. Just wondered how you got on with the garmin inreach mini I'd seen you using a while while back.
@@PreparedPathfinder what would change from you originally bug out bag video??? and if you added the rocket pockets on the side how long could you realistically bug out for ????
@@PreparedPathfinder I've watched a lot of your videos, and in almost all of them you eat this sauce, I also decided to try it, bought it once and it seemed very nasty to me (sorry)😁, this sweet and sour sauce and also with a sharpness, then I began to look carefully at the name of your tabasco, and it seemed to me that I found it... I bought the sauce again and it tasted even worse than the first one, so I decided to find out its name from you😀 In any case, thank you for the answer
@@PreparedPathfinder yeah, too may years of tabbing with the house on my back plus damaged knee ligaments during a long navigation exercise many years ago. Ego still trying to write cheques (also now need a good doss bag too😏)

How useful do you find the trekking poles?
Very useful since my injury, especially downhill on steep ground.

Do you have a video on belt kit with Bergen showing how to wear them together? I’ve seen pieces of kit but not how it’s worn together
He does one it’s called British army load out I think… in it he talks about the 3 layer principle, survive, fight, and live.👍
What tent mate.?
It an OEX Rakoon 2.1, nothing fancy, does the job though.
@@PreparedPathfinder doesn’t need to be mate.👍
