thank you for this review, I am considering these and my main point apart from protection is knee comfort (old knees) and I come from Warrior as they have thick knee cushioning along with a knee compression both to hold and to give a bit extra cushion. Good call on the mcdavid hex things :-)

I’ve had these for over a month, coming from the koho carbon fiber plate knee pad I’m really enjoying them. No need to tape but I do wear socks over them

Def could use these as my bauers started to rip in the knee

I only noticed the bolt when stretching every once in a while, bigger issue was it rusted out so I replaced it with skate lace

I just bought the XF knee guard and I like it much better than my Previous KP Pro V2 one. A tad less bulky and more comfy imho.

Wish they would have come with a lower portion closer to Warriors.. lots of padding so you dont need to wear any addtional knee pads under and give a nice flat surface to land on.

I had the previous version and encountered the screw issue after using them for around 12 months. Feels as though the screw had started to come undone and that started to dig into my knee when I'd drop down

I wish they had the same materials but slimmer profile
