Infiniti knows how to make a high performance, well made, reliable, and easy to own car. Kind of the opposite of modern day German machinery that has you crying every time the power window regulator fails.
It's a beautiful car with great performance chops. And a used Infinity brings tremendous value to the table. I drove a 2016 QX50 a few days ago and was so impressed with the looks, the fit and finish, the interior, and above all else the fine powertrain and handling...I bought one that had AWD with low miles for about $24,500.
It may be outdated, but it's one of the most-reliable, longest-lasting vehicles on the road today. RWD, big V6, light-chassis, and built in Japan, what more can you ask? The new variable compression turbo 4 motor it will replace next year with crash down Infiniti's reliability score big time.
It sucks a lot of people haven't taken too much interest in Infiniti these days. I still love them. Interior quality is outstanding, the VQ37 engine is simply AMAZING, and Infiniti has nice styling cues. The new Q60 definitely woke people up and so did the Q50. Previously owning a first gen G35, driving a second gen G35, and having parents that own a JX35, Infiniti hasn't lost their touch at all. I suppose it all comes down to opinion.
although i dont think its the best looking car in the class but it murders everything else when it comes to performance and drivetrain layout. if you are a driving enthusiast, its the only choice. we are thinking about getting one. the mercede's glk350 is the only other one we are looking at. but i like working on Japanese vehicles better. dont trust audi electronics. the new lexus are all hybrids or much less power the acura's are front wheel drive biased layouts. the infiniti is at the top of the list. if we are talking purely styling the mercedes def wins.
So...Here's perspective on this vehicle. The iPhone came out in 2007... When the first iteration of this vehicle came out, the iPhone was just under a year old. Wow. And, even with the updates, it still looks great, and the interior is still very nice and classy.
Good review bro. Yes it is dated until they do the entire redesign, but I'm glad you're a person who has an eye for for the details and recognizes the subtleties that set Infiniti apart from, and on top of, the big 3 in a lot of aspects.
I like this format of presenting too. You continue to set the standard for UA-cam car reviews and full walkaround tours. Any prospective buyers would benefit from seeing your videos before heading down to their local dealership.
It's crazy how different Infiniti is from Nissan, they're just so much better made. Reliability is top notch, power and handling is fantastic, ohh my Lord I love my FX35!
It's old styling, but I recently rented one at my stay at Florida and the car has lots of power and hauls down the road when you plant your foot to the ground. The best part is the power and 3.7L V6
I test drove a 2017 at night. After checking with the wife I came back the next day to buy it. The salesman was top-notch he made sure I knew I was getting a purple car not a black one a purple car. Totally happy with the car totally happy with the car. I had a 2015 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk before I got this and it's completely different. Where the Cherokee had every single option from power lift gates to showing your album cover in XM radio mode. The Infiniti was surprisingly limited in the amount of amenities. Otherwise this car is awesome. A beast. But surprisingly refined
This outdated ugly SUV has: 325hp VQ37 engine that can rev over 7k, Engine mount behind front axle to create near 50/50 weight distribution, "Rev-Match" 7 speed transmission, "Forge Aluminum" Double Wishbone front suspension and "Forge Aluminum" Independent Multi-link rear suspension (you can only find this setup on Porsche Macan and Audi SQ5 and it ain't cheap), Hydraulic power steering for best road feedback (instead of modern numb electric power steering), Made in Tochigi, Japan, (one of the best assembly factory in the world), and etc... This is pretty much 90% of Porsche Macan S' performance with 60% of its price. Name one 2017 compact SUV with all these features mention above that is under 45k OTD.
Thank you! And I happen to think it's super fine looking, STILL! Anytime I see one, it turns my head. I've always admired them, except I wasn't keen on the front end before they changed it. I've been pondering my next vehicle for over a year. Was serious about the Porsche Macan S, then the QX50 came back into view. I believe I will save that $20K extra and get one of these before they're not available anymore. I don't get all the "dated" comments. If something works and works well, much change isn't necessary. It's silhouette is timelessly sporty and no doubt, it's the closest to the Macan S offerings without the cost and has more back seat room, now. I'm sold.
Thanks Kyle I have watched your videos for years and really enjoyed this one .... I had a BMW x5 that was going bad and in a rush made the quickest deal I could and purchased a GMC Yukon Denali and Oh my what a shock ....I am being bounced to death ...runs awesome in a straight line ...curves optional ....So I have been shopping for a replacement and came across a few of these Infiniti's and looked for a Review Video and here my buddy Kyle had the perfect review ... I will let you know if I buy one
Hey, I am from Europe and this engine with this 7-speed automatic gearbox have been standard in this EX, the second-gen G Models and the second-gen FX since they all debuted here in 2008!!!
Love the new "driving" presentation of the car. You show the details while the conversation continues, montage is great. Very good job, and i think a good improvement or alternative to the static presentation. (i know you cant drive a Chiron around all day ...)
Thanks man! Great to hear some feedback on this new style I'm trying to do. For certain vehicles like this that aren't all-new or updated variants of vehicles I've covered previously, I thought doing a more informal video made sense and would perhaps be even more fun! This way, I can crank out videos quicker, as long as I have the right material, and be able to focus on the more "in depth" presentations, which take forever to edit together. Now, I can expand on the variety of videos I upload while trying to limit the gap in uploads that can occur when I have a bunch of in-depth reviews to put together :)
Hey Saabkyke I've been a big fan of yours for a few years now and I think your are the best car reviewer on the site! By the way this might sound odd but your voice sounds a lot like ChuggaConroy's voice lol. I could be wrong but you do sound a lot like him!
It's not an all-new vehicle. With all of the other cars I have to film and edit, this was a great candidate for a more informal review that still covered all of the basics. It all comes down to how much time I have, my schedule stays pretty full nowadays.
Cool video as always! But I want your honest opinion. Does the QX 50 ride about the same as the Lincoln MKX? I know they're 2 totally different styles but just curious
Hey Kyle when you start up a 3.7L V6 on Nissan or Infiniti (Not Lincoln lol) do u ever notice it takes about half a second to start up then a 3.5L or a 3.6L? And when a 3.7L starts up it sounds like automatic gun firing haha, and I also notice that a 3.6L V6 is only on American vehicles, FCA or GM vehicles mainly, UNLESS if it's on Subaru but that's a 6 cylinder
Thank you buddy! My primary demographic is the United States, so for ease of understanding I need to stick with the imperial system primarily. I'm not too versed on the metric system myself. Eventually, I'd like to add nice graphs that highlight the conversions, but I need to learn how to do that haha.
Hey saabkyle! Can you please do a in depth review of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, I would really like to hear your thoughts and I would like to know more about it. I've been watching videos and everyone is saying it's very a good mid size truck.
também acompanho os vídeos dele, são conteúdos muito bons, muito bem gravados e de qualidade. muitos carros nem existem aqui no nosso país. A variedade de carros no canal dele é incrível! abraço
owned a 2010 EX35, was a great car for the time. But it hasn't changed much since 2008 though. It just looks like lipstick on a pig at this point. Anyways, was an amazing, practical, and fast car. Still a good value but thats why I went for it over some of BMW's offerings. Great video kyle, keep up the good work!!
Great review. It's 2023 and I purchased a 2016 with 70k miles a few months ago and I love it. It's a beautiful car and drives excellent

Funny how some don't find it attractive and I am wowed by how great it looks. Looks like a classic sports car on steroids.
Revitalyzed lowkey waiting to see someone adapt a g37 stillen supercharger to this car and make a a sleeper wagon

I REALLY like this style of video, Kyle!

The last generation Infiniti interior still looks good especially with that leather colorway.
I love the chestnut color!
+Saabkyle04 can u do a 2016 xt5 review plz?
I have this car. It’s an animal. Love it.
lowkey want to see someone adapt a g37 stillen supercharger kit to this car and make a super sleeper wagon
I grabbed a 2017 3.7L as they rolled out the 4 cyl cvt in the 2019s. I'll take my racer wagon over a cvt any day.
Seems like a great value for that much power. Great review, thanks!
That leather looks amazing especially all over the dash
It's crazy how different Infiniti is from Nissan, they're just so much better made. Reliability is top notch, power and handling is fantastic, ohh my Lord I love my FX35!
I'm really loving these shorter reviews, Kyle :)
It's old styling, but I recently rented one at my stay at Florida and the car has lots of power and hauls down the road when you plant your foot to the ground. The best part is the power and 3.7L V6
88MS88 , the other best part is easy to park.

My grandparents bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and we all love it.
+Saabkyle04 great video man
I like the look of the interior, I think a two tone cream color would have complemented it well.
All nissans with the VQ engine should have this transmission and not the CVT. CVT should only be used on smaller vehicles.
Thanks Kyle I have watched your videos for years and really enjoyed this one .... I ve had the 2008 Ex35 AWD for 2 years now, and I absolutely love it. Just wish Infiniti has gone with this longer wheelbase since day one.
Excellent review. Very informative with a lot of useful information for someone who is in the market for this class of SUVs. Keep up the good work!
Hello saabkyle04! I noticed you passed by my neighborhood that's awesome! I've always loved you're videos!
It's a bargain-hunters version of the Macan or X3. Hitting 0-6 in 5.5 seconds draws my interest.
I really do enjoy this style of video, excellent work Kyle 😁 !
Hey, I am from Europe and this engine with this 7-speed automatic gearbox have been standard in this EX, the second-gen G Models and the second-gen FX since they all debuted here in 2008!!!
looking back at this review in 2024 thanks for it buying a used one!
This is a nice car I luv ur new review technique

Keep up the great work!!! Greetings from Brussels, Belgium!
(if you're ever here, give a PM, if you like)
Much appreciated!
Very nice car. Still liking Infinitis although my fave is the QX80.
I enjoy your review... and I love your life style with cars... and family. Thanks sharing your life.
Hey Saabkyke I've been a big fan of yours for a few years now and I think your are the best car reviewer on the site! By the way this might sound odd but your voice sounds a lot like ChuggaConroy's voice lol. I could be wrong but you do sound a lot like him!
Basically the same interior as in my G37. Still looks good though
I like that car
KNOW YOUR WAY
if only you could get a hold of the Challenger saleen
The charger?
Hey Kyle, love your videos. Keep up the great work! :)
Why have you stopped doing sound system reviews?
actually the cayenne would be the best competition for the QX70, while this on the other hand would compete most likely with the Maccaan
hi.with what keind of camera did you du this video??
Why did you film a shorter review on this one? I don't recall you ever filming even the older one?
It's not an all-new vehicle. With all of the other cars I have to film and edit, this was a great candidate for a more informal review that still covered all of the basics. It all comes down to how much time I have, my schedule stays pretty full nowadays.
Can you pls do more starting up the personal vehicles
Cool video as always! But I want your honest opinion. Does the QX 50 ride about the same as the Lincoln MKX? I know they're 2 totally different styles but just curious
I've yet to drive an MKX so hopefully I can answer that sometime this summer!
+Saabkyle04 do the mkx and the mkc please
The qx50 is a lot faster given it shares the engine with g37
...You don't show the Key anymore?..
Think of any typical nissan/infiniti key fob and there you go. I do show them on my in-depth reviews..
I hope u say the fuel consumption in km/liter in your next reviews
thanks for your hard work and hope the best for you

+Saabkyle04 This way of review is even better. Success. cheers from Brasil \o
também acompanho os vídeos dele, são conteúdos muito bons, muito bem gravados e de qualidade. muitos carros nem existem aqui no nosso país. A variedade de carros no canal dele é incrível! abraço
My grandpa owns a 2009 g37xS, and it has an identical infotainment system. Shouldn't it be time for an upgrade by now?
Yes, as I've discussed, that's the only real downside to this vehicle, everything else was awesome.
hi greetings.this luxery where do you find that in 2016 american car ?
ofcourse enjoyed it
***** Other than that, for sure it's a very nice car. Love the exhaust note, especially for an SUV haha
When will you Review 2016 Honda Civic EX-T?

Please do the Lexus ES 350 2016
COOL 2016 Infiniti QX50 - Test Drive and Review
Can You Review A 2013 Toyota Highlander Thanks
Ha I had this video playing while I was changing the sheets on my bed
I want to see the Grand Marquis video!!!!!!
can you review the 2017 mercedes E class please! thank you
Nice video but I think Infiniti should really do a facelift for their SUVs. Like I think they've been the same for the past what, 10 years?
And I don't mean that like how some people say all Audis and BMWs look the same, I mean like they haven't changed at all ._.
Great presentation!👋👋😎
is that a 370z interior?
No your just seeing the similar center stack Nissan and Infiniti has been using since 09
sebazk no, more G37
You should do a review of the Hennessy Venom GT
I sat in this car its just to cramped. they made it longer but not wider
I really liked the infinity qx 70
I admit I'm partial to the sound of a V8, but this 6 banger has a sweet note!
Please make a new Ford Fusion Sport review as quick its possible ;)
Best thing about it is the engine.
JUMP23MΔN , i like everthing of it, the size, power, interior, exterior, etc. best car i have ever owned.
You should review the g35 coupe
ya he should we don't have them in Australia (i don't think)
+CarsRLife not sure but I know in other parts it's known as a Nissan but I recently bought one and it's extremely nice for the price
When are you going to do the new BMW 7 series? Can't wait 🤓🤓🤓
Do a video about Toyota Hilux
Nice color
I think when you mentioned the X4, you meant the fishbowl. Lol
Makes no sense getting one of these new, pick one up coming off lease. The current aggressive lease deal will hurt resale value.
This what the murano wants to be.
good.
owned a 2010 EX35, was a great car for the time. But it hasn't changed much since 2008 though. It just looks like lipstick on a pig at this point. Anyways, was an amazing, practical, and fast car. Still a good value but thats why I went for it over some of BMW's offerings. Great video kyle, keep up the good work!!
It kinda lacks I drove it I work in Infiniti of bayside
With that grammar?
commas are needed
Power Liftgate is awesome - especially no-touch under-bumper sensor
What a minute - what's going on here? Who disconnected it?
AN 2003-2004 INFINITI M45 REVIEW WOULD BE FUCKIN BADASS!! >:)
top class
What a interior so stylus
