2099 series was ground breaking as a kid, I have so many "shopping mall- I Found!!"singles. * It was so easy back then to borrow 50cents and have a BOOK*
I'm a brand new comic fan, like reading my 4th book ever kind of new (its kingdom come and idk how its known in the community but im really liking it) and i just love your videos. You and comic drake are what inspired me to try and im having a blast. Im out of work at the moment recovering from ptsd and this new hobby has really put some light back in my life. Thank you so much, dude 💖 I really hope you're doing well
Kingdom Come is regarded as one of, if not the best, DC Comics, ever. It works the more comics you read in The Bronze Age, since the heroes stop being so heroic. I'm glad you're part of the hobby and I'd love to give you some recommendations! If you'd like a nice comic saga, try The Green Lantern run by Geoff Johns. It's actually phenomenal. If you're a bit more intense, try *SAGA*, which is a bit more high-brow, allegedly. *There's Something Killing The Children* is a very good horror manga.
Doom 2099 is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. He's such a perfect mix of 90's badass robotic craziness and the good ol' Doom we all love
Subbed! I skipped Doom 2099 back in the day. I will never forget seeing Spiderman 2099 #1 glowing from the grocery store shelf as a kid and getting to take it home. Good times.
Great video - personally I'm a GHOST RIDER 2099 guy, the first 12 are legit, I think, some of the best cyberpunk comics ever made, and the writer Len Kaminski does a great job on the whole series, even if the art gets a little too expressionistic when Ashly Wood takes over.
I’m not sure if I’d call it an intentional reference or just the genre horseshoeing back on itself, but the Panther’s Rage group being headed by a dude who talks like that and calls himself the god of violence rings very similar to me to the novel Neuromancer, where there’s a group of terrorists the characters work with at one point called the Panther Moderns, whose whole deal is violence for the sake of it, to like, prove that they still have free will in a world where so much is under complete control. The name probably comes from Black Panther and I’m just reaching, though. And again, this might not so much be a Neuromancer reference as much as, in writing cyberpunk fiction, it’s kind of hard to not bump into accidentally redoing something that either William Gibson or Mike Pondsmith wrote at some point.
Case in point: the whole “jacking into the matrix to go into cyberspace” thing is a super common trope in the genre, and that does stem directly from Neuromancer.
@@dreux_what's incel about them ..? It hasn't happened but wouldn't that be racism? Or more like ignorance to me Cux idk who they are even talking about 😅

My future is most certainly an interesting one, but all that matters now is the safety of my beloved Latverians in the present.
Glory to Latveria!

I wanted this to be a Reed Richard’s. I bought this fresh off the rack. 2099 was 1999 in the future.
Have you been keeping up with the new ultimate universe? …👀
There's a spiderman 2099, really. His real name is Miguel O Heera. I've got the spiderman costume, 2099
Fortnite render spotted
Is that a problem?
@mecha53107yes
@mecha53107it literally looks bad
@@Boatangano it doesn't. It's also based on what Doom is going to look like in Marvel Rivals. And Fortnite has some of the best Marvel skins.

I mean…even with everything going on, that specific thing still hasn’t happened

If any person would be an exception it be DOOM

I wonder if Doom 2099 would be the one MCU Doom is based on.
No i don't think so, for one the movie doesn't take place in the future
So regular Doom is Doctor Doom and this Doom is Doom?
It's like Professor Zoom and Zoom for DC
