  • This video is intended for students in the common core of Geology, or any other interested public (high school students for example).
    It explains in a very simple way how to identify the fossils of Annelids (animals of the Invertebrate type). The illustration image represents a bivalve shell (an oyster) colonized by sedentary annelids, serpules.
    Indeed, Annelids are generally represented by ichnofossils (= traces of activities such as traces of movement, places of habitat).
    This video was put online as part of the 2nd year Paleontology practical work of the STU License at the University of Guelma in Algeria (Teacher: Ms. Ruault-Djerrab).
