CARBONACEOUS ROCKS: Coal, hydrocarbons... (by Mrs. Ruault-Djerrab)

This video presents carbonaceous sedimentary rocks, also called combustible rocks or fossil fuels. These are coals, hydrocarbons (oil, natural gas) and resins. The mode and middle of formation are detailed for these three categories of rock, with illustrations showing examples of specimens or sedimentary middle.
This video has been put online for beginners in geology, in particular in License 1 and 2 at the University, or for high school students in science. It allows you to revise the notions learned during the Petrology practical work.
