Maybe try lowering the gain and getting closer to the mic. It's not a dynamic mic so it won't be that good at isolation but lowering the gain should help.

If you put a mic-cap on the SAMSON it will have less background noise

I have the same pop filter on my quadcast, but I feel like getting the G track pro with a windscreen would be a much better mic

Yeah, as long as the gain is pretty low its negligible in most cases.
