UPSLOPE LANDING at Arnsberg-Menden Airport (RWY 23) | Cessna 172-M Skyhawk

EDLA RWY 23 has a 1% upslope as depicted on the Aerodrome Chart. This makes the landing a bit more technical or tricky, due to upslope illusion (leads to lower approach path than standard, higher risk for object collision) and higher required angle of attack during roundout/flare (leads to earlier stall, higher risk for wheelbarrowing and/or loss of control).

Hoi Nando, ik heb een aantal video's van je bekeken en vind het zeer leerzaam. Ik overweeg ook een PPL (of misschien toch verder te gaan nog en een ATPL te halen). Het wordt een carriereswitch in dat geval. :) Heb je ook intenties om nog verder te gaan dan PPL?

@@sander8928 Zeker doen, het is een gave hobbie! Je kunt altijd een paar proeflessen nemen en dan beoordelen wat je graag wilt en goed past. Dan kan prima bij iedere vliegschool. Ik heb zeker intenties/ambities, alleen voorlopig ontwikkel ik mij vooral in de vliegavonturen en in de breedte (ratings, endorsements). Hieruit kun je al zoveel fun halen vind ik!

@@PilotNando ​ Erg leuk denk ik om mee bezig te zijn inderdaad. Ik ben net (o.a.) op bezoek geweest bij de VSH (makkelijkst bereikbaar vanuit waar ik woon, ten zuiden van Utrecht). Volgende week nog Lelystad, en dan een keuze maken. Maar as we speak zit ik al wel de PPL-theorieboeken door te lezen. 😄 Jij hebt ook gelest bij de VSH begreep ik, wat sprak je daar aan als ik vragen mag?

@@sander8928 VSH is een uitstekende vliegschool. Ik vond het warme contact prettig en had al eens via persoonlijke connectie een trip op meegevlogen op een van hun kisten.
