The decompression lever is there for a reason, getting you past compression and down towards where the exhaust valve is opening. You should try using it that way. Superb bike by the way

I restored a 1932 OHV Sloper last year. Not sure if I have video of it but if I find some I'll put it up.
Does anyone else think old motorcycles should LOOK old? I had a W34-9 500cc Blue Star for many years, unrestored and oily. A magnificent beast.

Why do you start the motorcycle while it's on the main stand?
A lot of old (classic) motorcycles had no side stand. This is how it is done in those days.
