- My son Luke and I spent four days exploring the west side of Cape Breton Island.
We fished, camped, hiked to waterfalls, and explored abandoned houses. It had to be one of the best times I had bonding with my youngest boy

What a perfect get away! I'm using this video to show my spouse an example of a perfect long weekend escape... fingers crossed he will "bite" as well as your son's fishing. About as much fun as finding old abandoned mines here in Nevada, minus the black flies, ticks and mosquitos.
