Thank you for sharing and keeping it simple ❤ I subscribed to your channel bc you teach well 😊 how can I add something like a dollar amount to each square? And then how can I upload it to print it out?
Thank you! To add a dollar amount to each square I would add a text box and then type in the amount you want. When you are ready to print the board you can go over to the right hand side and download the document as a PDF to your computer and then print it. Hope this helps!
Hi, and thanks for sharing this! It seems like a useful tool. I teach groups of ESL students online, and found your video when searching for vocabulary activities for online classes. Question: If you create a board game like you demonstrated, how do you play it online with a group of students (say, up to 15)? I can't ask my students to print it out; they're refugees, and I'm lucky if they have a pencil and paper! I can use an online wheel spinner instead of a die, but what would you do about game pieces to keep track of where everyone is? The only thing I came up with is just using the writing tool and writing their initial in a different colour for each student. If you have any more efficient ideas, I'd be grateful!
What you described is actually exactly how I play with my online students. I let the students use the annotate feature and draw a line to the spot on the board where they land. Each student can designate a color as their own so that you don't get confused. You could alternatively keep the game in editor mode when you go to screen share it and insert an image of a game piece that you could then move board around the board but you'd have to be the one moving the image for your students which may not be as interactive or fun.
It depends but if I have a few drag and drop Canva games then I will usually stay in Edit mode so it’s easier and I’m not flipping back and forth between presentation mode and edit mode. If I decide to do this then I’ll use the advanced screen share mode on zoom to just select and share the slide so that is all students see. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 😊
When I select the square it doesn't give me the specific size but you are able to click and drag on the square to make it either smaller or larger. After I create the size I want by dragging it I'll click on the square and copy and paste it so that all the other squares on the board are the same size. I hope this helps!
Your teaching voice. pace and instruction are clear and concise. Absolutely, the best I've heard.
Thank you for your calming tone.

Hi Jocelyn! just watched your new video! Very helpful. Question about drag and drop, you are in edit mode? The entire class? Thank you! Barb
