    You should do a video about your BBK for the MDX rotors

    Looks like they may have shoved a modified Toyota TCT into a new housing to bolt on to the F20/22C

    Thanks for the video! I put one of these in my car today. It stopped the chain rattling on warm startup and idle that I had.
    One tip: the locking hook is released by hand rotating the crank after you get the TCT mated to the block. If installed properly, a few full rotations brings the hook down.

      Yep, just a little pressure from the chain is all it takes. I did have the pin that holds the latch come out, so when I rebuilt the motor I had to make another pin to stick in the hole. I'm still using the same tensioner that was installed in this video, no issues at all.

    So you undo the hook but leave the hook attached? Also I wanted to test the ratcheting and undid the hook now I can't get the tensioner to depress so I can hook it back...

      @jdoggsgarage4494  3 роки тому

      Getting it compressed is kind of a pain, you need to compress it with a vice while pushing the ratchet mechanism. I'm pulling my motor in a week or so, I try to make a quick video showing that

    When you install this tct, do you have to remove the pin by the cylinder?? Thanks

    • @jdoggsgarage4494
      @jdoggsgarage4494  3 роки тому

      If you're talking about the pin where you have to take the plug out of the front of the cylinder head, yes you have to pull that plug out then swing the lock lever down.

    • @deespec4168
      @deespec4168 3 роки тому

      Yes that pin by the cylinder head that keeps the cylinder from moving. I actually left it as it comes and it seems to be working fine. No more noise

      I would. I'm terrible at remembering to record things, but I took the whole front of the motor apart a month ago to fix a leak from the timing cover. Everything looked perfect
