Great fun to play. A big thank you.
@@MikeBrown-dk7or my pleasure, Mike😊👍🏻
When I saw Movin' with Nancy on TV in 1968, I was immediately captivated by Nancy Sinatra. Until now I listen to her records almost weekly. She not only looked beautiful but also had a beautiful voice. Country or jazz or pop - you name it - they all sound equally beautiful. My favorite LP is sugar (and not just because of the bikini sleeve)...😊😊 Thanks for the tutorial
My pleasure! I’ll have to check out some more Nancy Sinatra 😊👍🏻👍🏻
I was going to teach this at my class today but instead we did Back to Black by Amy Winehouse Dm/GM/B flat/A
Brilliant choice, Joe. One of Amy’s finest. If any of your group struggle with a Bb you could use a Bbmaj7 which is basically a Bb chord but only using first fret 2nd string as opposed to pressing down as a barre chord on the 1st and 2nd strings. The Bbmaj7 actually suits the song.👍🏻ua-cam.com/video/CpoHQ8jT2qY/v-deo.html
The camera doesn't allow me to
see your ukulele and your right plucking hand. Where exactly are
you plucking the C string? Over
the soundhole?
I get a buzzing sound on my strings usually around the 8th
fret. It must be my technique, because it happens on all 3 of my ukuleles. One is a concert.
Two are sopranos.
What am I doing wrong?
You’re absolutely right; I do apologise! I may re-film this at some point and make sure I get my hands in! You’re right: I am plucking the C string over the sound hole. That’s interesting re the buzzing sound. It’s pretty high up at the 8 fret, so first thing is to make sure all your fingers are fitting on the fret. Because there’s not much room on the higher frets than, say on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, for example, then your fingers might be overlapping onto the next fret up which could be causing fret-buzz. Is it one particular string or is the buzz on more than one string?
@@GetStrumming I though my LEFT hand is supposed to PRESS on the C string with ONE finger at a time moving from the 9th fret XX
8th Xx. 7th Xx
Down to the first fret
While the RIGHT HAND PLUCKS
the C string 2X ea around the sound
hole.
