    Got one used with store cred last week.Those lush pads are pretty sick,still going thru all the presets and writing down which ones are my fave,which mean alot of them.And I love reverb as much as the next but damn, previous owner set reverb/delay to 100 on like every preset.This is going to take a while to edit.Most excellent synth I own.📼🤖♥️🛸

    Fabulous synth! Glad I finally got one. It and these patches will spark a whole new direction of creativity for me the same way Native Instruments sparked a ton of LoFi tracks ideas and Logic X before that.

    These are incredible sounding, and really show off the potential of the DM12. Great job. These are some of the best I've heard on YT since I've been searching this past week(thinking of a Christmas gift) to myself and it's in my budget.
    I have the Montage but want something more synthy.
    Thanks again for posting this video.
    If I get a DM12, I'll order these.

    I bought a Korg ms 20 in 1978. It was the only synth I had for a long time. I recorded on a 4 track tape recorder. I did what I could with it, but all the time I was longing for sounds like this.

      Well thank you...Not as far back as you, my first was in 1989, but used a 4 track also...

    Say what you will but this synth sure has the OB-6 soft creamy sound to it

    • @georgegeorgio1751
      @georgegeorgio1751 5 років тому

      The OB6 is overpriced but sure it sounds better & is easier to get those classic sounds, can’t wait to see how much Behringers Oberheim clone ends up costing , even if it’s 70% of the original that would still be acceptable especially if the price is a grand cheaper than the OB6.

    • @WrvrUgoThrUR
      @WrvrUgoThrUR 5 років тому +4

      I was just about to say...maybe the OB6 is more sought-after and classic, but the DM12, AT LEAST, demos better. I had an OB6, but once I got A KORG MS2000 I hardly touched the OB6. THIS DM12 might make me forget all about my MS2000. These synths may not be “better” than an OB6. It they sure seem more fun to play. I’ll have a DM12 before summer’s out👍🏽

    I’ve had my Deepmind 12 for over 4 months now. As is common knowledge the factory presets are downright unusable. Being in sound design mode has been amazing and I’m glad I’ve learned my way around the synth. Be that as it may I purchased your patches yesterday and have not been able to get away from this thing. They sound incredible and are truly inspiring sounds. Totally worth the 29 USD and then some. Thank you :)

      I personally havent seen a single synth that can even match it below like 1300 bucks. And even then I can only think of the virus ti2 when it comes to versatility below 2000 bucks and it doesnt even sound that great, its rather thin. The Deepmind 12 is a monster. I can imagine this being a classic very soon.

      JH Drummer You could probably could make grammy award winning music with either one. One thing for sure .. try not and make your decision listening to factory presets, many of the factory presets on my new Deepmind 12 are not only unuseable (like on any synth) but sound downright distorted and clipped in a bad way .. hence why I am here checking out this preset bank .. which sounds pretty good to me (but too pricey imo)

    • @MapsandKeys
      @MapsandKeys 7 років тому +1

      These are actually 2 preset banks and I'm very glad I bought them. They really show what the synth is capable of and are veeery useful for me.

    • @GEOSynths
      @GEOSynths  6 років тому

      I've never used a JD800 so can't comment on that, however the DM12 is a fantastic Synth for Price vs Features, you can't go wrong with it.

      @@GEOSynths Thanks, does the small amount of waveforms not make it difficult to get away from the 'same' kinds of sound, if that makes any sense

    • @GEOSynths
      @GEOSynths  6 років тому

      Well, compared to other Synths it doesn't have a Triangle wave and a Sine wave, even though a Sine is less common. You can make a Sine Wave using self-resonance and full Keyboard tracking....but that's all small detail...rather than see it as a Flagship Synth with missing features, see it as an affordable Synth with more features than the competition...

    Hi, Ive noticed in all demos that the sound of the Deepmind is a little bit dull, no brightness no matter what the sound. How do you compare the sound with other analog synths you may have.

    • @GEOSynths

      since buying it, I've never thought it sounded dull...I suppose a digital synth might be better for you.

    • @pocojoyo

      I mean, compared to other analog synths. The pads sound very good though. But is it possible to get good bass sequences out of the Deepmind ?

    • @chrisstrobel3439
      @chrisstrobel3439 7 років тому +7

      Charlie Angel One mans dull is another mans warm 😁 I've had my DM12 for 36hrs now, its no more 'dull' than the other 8 analog synths I currently own, or the others I use to own over a span of 37 years.

    • @josephwright5921
      @josephwright5921 6 років тому +1

      I have had mine for about 6 months and i don’t find it dull at all. It has a wide range of sounds and it is tricky to get certain sounds out of it. I like it better than my Juno 106. It is not as loose and phasey as some analog polys. It can get glassy quickly, but overall it is a great polysynth to add to others

    • @georgegeorgio1751

      Charlie Angel You’ve got to be kidding this is as bright as any synth i’ve owned you need to
      learn how to use it especially concentrate on it’s fantastic effects and use the equaliser.
