Next time you head out to Cannon Beach, if you're coming from Portland, you have to stop by Camp 18 for breakfast. I feel like it's right up your alley. It's a blast and I always walk away with a couple photos. This video housed some of your best photos and videography to date. Thanks for another great one! Happy shooting!
Honestly my dude, this is the best composed video you’ve done I feel like. The actual footage you got was pretty goddamn great, especially in Chicago. Well done my man! Love it!
I never comment on videos but I just want to say thanks for the content you do. Even though I can't do film photography and I don't have good digital cameras either, I always grab my camera and go out to take photos after watching your videos. Your work is absolutely incredible and I'm sure you inspire everyone who watches your videos. Congratulations on another amazing video Brae and keep up the good work.
i would love if you made a video going over allllll your hiking gear like from your backpack to your shoes, food and all that kind of stuff. i really wanna get into hiking and more outdoor activities but i don’t even know where to start! i have family up in washington and i’d love to try out a nice hiking trail next time i’m up there.
"You think you're that guy, you're not that guy" - Yessir! Really enjoyed the shots in Nashville as well as the Cannon Beach portraits! That flash photo of Alicia and Tahoma was so cool too!
How could you not know about the CTA permit man. I mean everyone in the entire world knows about that shit 😂 the way that person spoke to you was so uncalled for, but you handled it so well. Loved this whole video dude, so cinematic incredible shots as always - loved the portraits! Especially loved the shots at Cannon beach.
Amazing trip and shots - that was really nice to see You having a street photography in a big city, and going back to the Canon Beach and Summit Lake! Comming back places and snapping another bangers - joyfull to watch! Take care!
Damn, that intro! You got some awesome video footage in the cities, really cool. Also some killer photos obviously. The ones taken by Alicia are really nice too, she has a great eye :) A nice chill video overall, I really enjoyed it. I hope the time you got yelled at ended well for you, that guy sounded really aggressive!
What was up with that permit guy!? Is that kind of aggression normal in the US? I’d be scared to shoot anywhere lol😅 Anyway great vid Brae, the cinematography was too good again and the photography of course as enjoyable as always😮💨🤌🏼
Like I said on IG, top 3 cinematography wise. On some of your videos, somethings I wish you would have taken a photo of that exact framing of the video, no exception with this one... Gorgeous, well done!
As always, a great video that shouldn't end..You can feel the coolness and the atmosphere..Thanks for taking us with you man! Greetings from Czech Republic.
Man it can never go wrong with a Brae hiking video from Washington, those pictures are always something else 😍 i mean you are ofc great att shooting other stuff too but dude you really have an eye for landscapes!
Thanks Patrick! My grading is actually super simple. I’ll likely make a video about it this summer. Basically just a rec 709 conversion from braw or slog3 (depending on which camera I’m using of course). Then a free lut called Sedona at about 50%. Boost contrast and saturation a little, color balance, bump shadows 10%, and you’re done haha
awsome Video! like some have already said the quality keeps going up!. Next time someone stops you and tells you you need a permit or what not, just tell them You are Willem Verbeeck! 😏
Did you use a different lens when shooting at the Oregon coast? I’m rewatching the video and felt those images were quite unique and different from what I usually saw from the 105mm, maybe a projector lens?
I ended up selling it shortly after buying it. Was having trouble getting comfortable with the rangefinder system. Giving myself more time to adjust this time around! Been enjoying it much more.
This was quite the video brother. Beautiful photos as always. Side note: Hot chicken is your taste buds greatest enemy. I've also learned the hard way lol
I do! They’re great. You can mail film in and they’ll mail you back your negatives. Just gotta include a note with your name and contact info, and if you want the normal jpeg scans or high res tiff scans 👍🏻
Wow I'm kinda mifted at the the Chicago Security Guard....like I'm thinking - damn, the windy city is filled with out-of-towner's, you would think he would be a bit more understanding, and less loud and vocal, but no Brae looks - to him, like a Super-spy incognito whose going to take spy type photos of the building across the street. It's time I think, for a refresher course at the Chicago school of being a security guard. I'd love to send that security guard a postcard of Johnny Cash giving him a one finger salute. Brae the whole video was great, congrats to Bryan and Emma.
Congrats on your first trip to Waffle House! One of my favorite places to go when I’m in the South. Closest one to Omaha is about two hours south in KC. And that Chicago footage was siiiiiiick. The transition form the El to the side of the bus?🤘And that fisherman out on the lake 🙌 Loved this vid, Brae.
@braehunziker do u stay in la? i was wondering if i could link up with u so i could learn to load the k3 film roll in my camera. if u can or via video call i'll pay u thx
Next time you're in the central region...STL,KC area let me know. Ive got a roll of Natura 1600 with your name on it. Also, cant go wrong with Waffle House tbh, its our go to for a early morning breakfast or al te night breakfast. Solid video Brae.
Super travel video! I owned a Pentax 6x7. I see also your Mamiya 6x6. Make life great! Sell the suckers! That weight, tose big,BIG lenses. I know the wonderful feel of film. Travel lighter. Alicia will be happier! CTA was lousy! It's so silly as eveyone using a phone, pix around the world in 12 seconds.. Idiot security. Look foward to more!
dude from CTA was having a bit of a power trip if you ask me, a simple warning is standard procedure, nowhere in hell would you be arrested for that, well maybe in north korea 😁😂🤣
Rad vid! And welcome to breaking your virginity on The Waffle House! Speaking of Summit…what suspicious activity is happening at the sketch Summit Inn???
Thank you!! And I had her jump out of the frame after I popped the flash on her, so that part of the mountain started to bake into the negative after she went out of frame! :)
I know your passion is film photography, and your photos are incredible, but HOLY your cinematography is INSANE!! And the color grading... perfect.
Ah thank you so much, means a lot!
I was thinking exactly this! The views are breathtaking, and the edition is incredible

Noted!! Thank you
Honestly my dude, this is the best composed video you’ve done I feel like. The actual footage you got was pretty goddamn great, especially in Chicago. Well done my man! Love it!

Stoked on how that one turned out!
Come over to Knoxville and check out the smoky mountains. Incredible place
I've heard it's beautiful out there. Would love to check it out next time!
The CTA person was a bit rough. I love the shots at Cannon Beach. We spent a couple of days there on a Pacific Northwest trip last year.
The images from Summit Lake are simply superb. Nicely done ! I will have to add this spot to my to do list. Thanks for another great video
Thank you :) glad you enjoyed!

Thank you!
You inspire me soo much. I always pick up my camera and head outside after watching your work. Hope you have the best Summer. Love from Norway!
That’s so cool to hear. Thank you, Mathias! Hoping to get over to Norway next year!!
@@BraeHunziker Amazing! If you ever need a guest room when visiting to the west coast of Norway (Bergen). I'll be happy to offer you one.

Haha yeah what can ya do…
But thank you sir, I really appreciate it. Cheers!
Never heard of a CTA permit. Just had to google it.
This video hits the spot. You can really transfer a vibe through the screen man!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
Cinematography on this one, esp in Chi town, was legit. Welcome back to the Mamiya fam.
Thank you dude. Glad to be back!

Awesome video and awesome photos, as always. Keep up with the good work bud.
Thank you :)
algo is kinda stupid, this should have over 100k views in the first 10 days. Beautiful cinematography, Brae.
Thank you sir ❤️
Man, you'd make a great DoP. This video is just stunning, and that transition @ 1:08 👨🍳💋
Thanks very much :)
Like I said on IG, top 3 cinematography wise. On some of your videos, somethings I wish you would have taken a photo of that exact framing of the video, no exception with this one... Gorgeous, well done!
Thank you very much. I appreciate the compliment!
As a fellow Washingtonian, my summer list now has two new destinations,
Cannon beach and Summit lake.
Thank you but my legs might disagree. ❤
Haha both are well worth it!!
Beautiful and inspiring video as always!! Love seeing your journeys!!
Thank you, Bryan!

Like always, your photography is so inspirational! Also that’s a sick shirt with the sailor skull and beard 🔥🔥
Thank you!
This is so chill and great. How the f*** do you grade your videos so nicely. Congrats
Thanks Patrick! My grading is actually super simple. I’ll likely make a video about it this summer. Man I love Alicia’s photos! Yours too ofc, but there’s something about those portraits that was just so good! (Sorry if I misspelled the name.)
“Thank you very much!!” - Alicia
A PERMIT MUST BE PRESENTED to show a film of this quality ! 😎
hahaha
awsome Video! like some have already said the quality keeps going up!. Next time someone stops you and tells you you need a permit or what not, just tell them You are Willem Verbeeck! 😏
Hahaha. Thank you dude
Did you use a different lens when shooting at the Oregon coast? I’m rewatching the video and felt those images were quite unique and different from what I usually saw from the 105mm, maybe a projector lens?
The majority of my images on the Pentax were shot on the 55mm!
what is the backpack you're using up at Summit Lake?
Shimoda Designs Action x50 v2
Do you sell colour grading presets? I would love to buy one
I don't but I'll likely be making a color grading tutorial soon
14:28 what happened with the last one? did you sell it or did it break?
great images though!
I ended up selling it shortly after buying it. Was having trouble getting comfortable with the rangefinder system. Giving myself more time to adjust this time around! Been enjoying it much more.
He really put a lot of emPHAsis on that perMIT. Dope video though. That intro sequence of shots was absolutely perfect. Looks like some good travels.
Yeah no kidding haha. Thank you!
Babe wake up, Brae hunziker just dropped another banger 🔥
🤣❤️
YOU WILL GET ARRESTED. Hahaha.
Love this format for a video. Great photos and even greater times ❤
Haha I couldn’t tell if he was serious or not at first then quickly realized he was. Wild.
Thank you man ❤️
Ambatabus now that we have another Brae video to watch 😩
🙏🏻🙂
This was quite the video brother. Beautiful photos as always.
Side note: Hot chicken is your taste buds greatest enemy. I've also learned the hard way lol
Thanks man. And I have also learned that 😅
Hey Brae, do you still get your photos developed at Speedy E? Do they have a good mail in system? Having some issues with my current developer.
I do! They’re great. You can mail film in and they’ll mail you back your negatives. Just gotta include a note with your name and contact info, and if you want the normal jpeg scans or high res tiff scans 👍🏻

CTA's property ? The tone of his voice - SMH. Way to keep your cool. You guys are probably used to it. Great video!

Haha not according to him! But yeah that was a ridiculous interaction
The most shocking thing in this video was seeing Amy Shumer had sold out a theater.
😂
great video but please go back to your original aspect ratio 🙏
Waffle House is legit. A southern staple.

I need to experience that
Nashville is alright. Northeast Tennessee is way better
damn the mamiya 7 ii just slid under the radar huh? when u making a video on it?
Haha not sure I’ll make a vid about it for a long time. It’ll be in plenty of backpacking videos this year though
