I was there once and I regret not going to all named locations I was only in Skalitz for like 5 minutes and in Rattay, and in a pub in Ledetchko (idk prostě ledečko)
Yes, it's a good reason, but unfortunately youtube don't care about pushing this video forward, because it has 1K views in 3 weeks, not 3 hours or days, that's a big difference for an algorhythm
I did the same as you. Played the game and it stayed on my mind. I travelled for Rataje nad Sazavou and saw "Rattay" with my own eyes. So nice watching your video and remembering everything.
I am replaying this game now. Didnt expect nostalgia from a game from 2018. They did a great job at historical accuracy without degrading gameplay. Cant wait KCD 2!
in my spare time, i often wonder and linger in the internet to search for what past and present locations look like, and i often end up w/ a sad conclusion of missing tombs of renown people of the past. these documentaiton means a lot for me. thank you and i dearly appreciate you.
It doesn't surprise me given the fact that one of the game's main devs actually comes from that area . So he knows all of those villages and their history really well.
I made similar photos in Sazava Monastery. Same pictures in reality and in game. That place is very accurate. Funny was i stepped inside and there were ppl praying, so i get off rly quick :D :D :D .
Cool video. Constructive suggestion here, use a controller to capture the game, so you can adjust sensitivity while you move the sticks... Your capture with keyboard looks clunky
Last year i bought a house which was first mentioned by the church as small farm in 1356... i wonder if the Main walls are still the rocks which where placed by ppl in the medieval era. Kcd makes you dive in this period so well.
Paráda taky sem to loni procestoval letos snad dám Kutnou Horu jelikož si myslím že po vydání dvojky tam bude nával a to je dobře.Musím pochválit zpracování videa máš tam i ostatní lokace co jíní ne
Kinda creepy how nothing here in Czechia changes. Road that had a puddle in Middle Ages still has it now and construction of some buildings is in exactly same stage. 😅
Road trajectory and urban planning is heavily affected by the surrounding terrain. Once the people found the "sweet spot" of where it is best to place the roads and buildings, they usually had no reasons to change it. The buildings themselves have changed significantly. If you look closely, you will see the gothic architecture replaced by the later rennaisance, baroque or classicist styles. Some preserved buildings like churches and castles have their gothic portals and towers replaced by baroque style etc.
cool video. I have a small suggestion for improvement. if you want slow, fluid movements, then use a gamepad for the next video. You can control how fast you move the player. the jerky starting and stopping is gone.
It looks the same they just showed it in different light. Of course it will look prettier during sunny morning than at late afternoon or when its cloudy
RIP all tourism industry and logsitics from around Trosky castle, the spike in tourist numbers in the next few years will be MASSIVE (I suppose in Kutná Hora they are quite ready for such situation, but not in Bohemian Paradise).
Hopefully, its always amazing when people take interest in our ancestors and our ancestors history no matter who they are. If this is what makes people go out and interact with that, then so gladly be it.
gothic was definitely there at the time when the game is set in. it was probably changed to round during renovations which look like they occured like 200-300 hundred years ago and by that time it was either too expensive and hard to keep the gothic or people just thought they were out of date and did the current style (at that time)
600 years later and those damn builders still haven't finished Sasau's church
The budget all threw in the dice I afraid
Damn that Custodian....
Sir Sebastian is the one
Welcome to Czechia, they are probably still waiting for a document approval from the Bureau of construction and architecture
@@lukefender94 Sometime in the 80s they filed a 14c-A.3 form when they SHOULD have filed a *stamped* 14C-a.3 and the project never recovered since...

An accuracy of the road is crazy
Yes. Kingdom Come doesn't even have any Asphalt. It's inaccurate as hell.
@@LaurenceRietdijk Asphalt wasn’t used in Europe until the 16th century.
This video might blow up after the KC:D 2 reveal. Great work by the way!
Yep! source; just watched the reveal :D

I'm so stoked for KCD2 and I haven't been this excited for a game in years
@@JohnDoe-yq9rt same here brother

I can't believe they made Bohemia in real life.
This game has some really dedicated fans
Who came here after the KCD2 trailer reveal?
3:00 I love how the game has a foot-bridge over the small portion of the modern road that is flooded by rain water, such an intimate detail!
Modern road left to flood. Very realistic!
in-game there's a moat

a guy has just put his swimming pool and his garden shed in front of the entrance to Talmberg... what a time
Yep, he pretty stared at me when I fell there and I told him I have quest in Talmberg.
imagine just chilling in your pool while you admire a medieval castle entrance. Lucky guy.
This is INCREDIBLE! Thank you for this. It’s magical going back in time not only in the game, but in real life imagining what once was…
I bet you was feeling quite hungry after that. 😄

After seeing the Trailer for KCD 2 and now this I'm definitely going to have to replay the original again!
The bridge in prybislavitz has fallen, henry should have trusted the locator and uprgade it

Pushing the algorithm for KCD2 reveal. Great Video! And great game!
Since then, the Czech Republic has had a great increase in the number of polygons!

Great that you went to Přibyslavitz, Ledečko, and Vraník. Haven't seen any videos with those before.
Oh this is amazing! So nice to see so many of these locations in real life! Very detailed. Thanks!
Great video, attention to detail from the dev's was under appreciated by most.
Best comparison I've seen by far. Well done. 👌🏻

Just watched the KCD2 reveal and youtube recommended me this, i am so happy to be reminded how massive a fanbase this game has

Loved this. What a marvelous game is KCD and what I lovely places in the Czech Republic. It will be a dream come true to travel one day there.
I never even knew they took so many real world locations... Just thought they took a few names of places that don't exist anymore
I made similar photos in Sazava Monastery. Same pictures in reality and in game. That place is very accurate. Funny was i stepped inside and there were ppl praying, so i get off rly quick :D :D :D .
Wow its so clear a lot of work went into making this video. Thank you for sharing 😊
Amazing, this is how a game is made with passion...
Such an amazing accuracy in the game! Never seen such a similitude in real life. Thumb up to the devs and can't wait for KCD2!! 😉
The beauty of the past and present
Damn that soundtrack hits deep
For a couple moments my brain couldn't tell which side was the game.
Nice video ❤ I love everything KCD. The game makes me feel like I have actually been there 😊
Amazing video man! Inspiration for my own trip, where i made a video about the KCD2 locations!
Балдёжно! Спасибо за съёмку!
A trailer for the upcoming sequel has just been released!
hella dope video man
I was wondering if they used real locations (I figured they did). This really shows how dedicated the developers were when making this game.
It’s amazing how well they made the game to what it looks like I love that game one of the best of all time
Visit this place every month!

Awesome video. The side-by-side video really was the move. So what's the deal with the area where Peshek's Mill is? Why is it fenced off like that?
Pribyslavitz is still not built, I wonder who is the mayor of this place?
In fact, it felt into ruins again in the modern era en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C5%99ibyslavice_(St%C5%99%C3%ADbrn%C3%A1_Skalice)

Were so many archways changed in style from gothic to round over time, or was the gothic style just a decision of the developers? 🤔
gothic was definitely there at the time when the game is set in. it was probably changed to round during renovations which look like they occured like 200-300 hundred years ago and by that time it was either too expensive and hard to keep the gothic or people just thought they were out of date and did the current style (at that time)
During Baroque era most older churches got restyled because Gothic or Romanic art and architecture was considered old-fashioned.
Rennaisance and baroque overbuids. Just a style evolution.
