It takes a brave man to show the wrong way. Thanks for that. Trying to fit that spring on my Tenere, the bike fell over against my tool rack. Destroying the side and front fairings in the process. Turned out to be a very expensive centre stand, but the Heavy Duties stuff is excellent.
Should've greased it during assembly Anders.... and maybe replaced the rear sump guard bolts with studs and nuts... I think you'll have to remove the stand to get the sump guard bolts out
Dude.Dude Dude Dude. I've never seen anyone use a flying windlass to fit a spring. It was both terrifying and hilarious. The easiest way is to use a spring puller. It's a T handled little hook that slides out easily after you get the spring on. I always wear safety specs using it because it often goes wrong and hits you in the face. You need molybdenum grease for the moving parts. I have some you are welcome to take. See you soon brother
I just fitted the heavy duties centre stand yesterday: and found your channel this morning! I am impressed by your Spanish windlass to pull the spring; I used a ratchet strap through the wheel and hooked onto the stand on the other side. Any hints how to grease the pivot without doing the whole job again? Mine is stiff too. Oh, yeah, mines a 1994 xt660z,same colour, based in Edinburgh. I put the original silencer back on , bought on eBay from Sweden! You didn’t sell your old one just before Brexit?
First of all, congratulations to owning the best motorcycle in the world 😁🤘👌Secondly, I honestly think that you have to do the job again to grease the pivot point. I had to... 🤔😂🤘 I took it all apart.
@@aroundonabike5028 hey, Anders, Thanks for getting back to me. Busy day today greasing and refitting the centre stand! So much easier second time around. Then deal with the bash plate bolts, and finally fitted the crash bars too, with a struggle, but they fit well. There can’t be many 90’s 660 tenere owners on these islands; I’ve only ever seen one 700 in the five years I’ve had mine. I’ve only just stumbled on your channel, so I have plenty videos to watch! Indeed, if you do get this far north you’d be very welcome to call in, there’s space to hide a bike, plenty of options for a bed, and loads of great wee runs in the borders, as well as the glens and coasts further north and west. Very worthwhile. When I came north from chesterfield last year, I meandered through Yorkshire, also fun! Just got to wait for a nice day for my first ride in months! Now, which video to watch first!,!???
@@brucecurtis6281 If/when I'm in your neck of the woods I'll get in touch. As to what video... I'd suggest Around The Balkans series. Loads of fun stuff happening in those videos.
Well if one can say it and other people can understand it, then I guess it’s a word. 🤔 In Swedish that definitely makes sense, I guess that english language works in the same way. 😁
You just gained a new sub
Thanks really much for all the videos!!
@tommsorg thanks buddy! Mych appreciated!
Really enjoyed the video loved your inventedness waiting with anticipation for your next adventure. Alan Northern Ireland 👍
Thanks Alan! I'm out filming the next series as we speak 😁🤞

Thanks buddy! I try to be honest in my videos. Also, when I'm on the road filming, I show everything, good and bad. No sugar coating 😁👌

Figureoutable, I really liked that word. Is it a real word? I also liked the therm “how I do it” instead of “How to do it” 👍
Figureoutable is my own, but still I'd say it's real 😆😆😆

No blood today 😂

I got it from Heavy Duties in Romania. heavyduties.ro/
I'm disappointed....was hoping to learn some Swedish swear words!
Hahaha 😆😂 Maybe some other time 😂😆
