Stumbled across this video randomly and was surprised to see myself mentioned, in the speedrun section near the end. Thanks for the mention, and the kind words :)
Excellent work, glad that the algorithm has decided to bless you. Also, I would sell my soul for you to give Tetrisphere a similar treatment; that game is also slept on, and I would pay too much for even a bad spiritual successor to it.
Wetrix and Tetrisphere are like the two best N64 games I still own from childhood. Learning that I'm not alone in this opinion makes me happy, but learning all that good deep lore makes me even more happy then anything else!
I was wondering why this video kept showing up on my homepage. I recognized Wetrix (due to the TAS Force video) but I thought. "Hey that doesn't seem like enough for UA-cam to recommend it to me for no reason..." Lo and behold. It was actually because I had watched the entire TAS Force playlist. And theres a single video on this site that acknowledged TAS Force's existance.
i LOVE tas force, i have a tradition whenever i have a sick day that i have to watch every episode in a row in one day and its always great. hope they come back at some point, they havent uploaded a video in over two years and i miss em :[

This game is so radical. I saw you play it in a VOD and was like "idk wtf this is but I like it" I wonder if you could play the N64 version with an N64 mouse, that'd be dope.
This is one of those games you get on a demo disc as a kid that make you go OH YEAH THAT GAME WAS COOL every now and then totally at random for the rest of your life.

I own a physical ps2 copy of Aqua Aqua because I found it in a used game store once. Never knew how different or similar it exactly was to the original wetrix but always thought it was odd that it had a completely different title despite being made by the same devs and everything, guess that explains that!
@@stoic_roseiirc, which to preface I honestly don't remember much about it, but I think the story mode was basically just a series of 4 levels based on different ancient time periods without much real story to it? to be fair, i did just say they did music for mario artist, not that they did the whole soundtrack. that being said i think you have a good point, i shoulda been more specific about that ! also your kuru kuru kururin icon is awesome :]
Wetrix PC does have a Soundtrack, you not hearing it is caused by not having the CD-ROM for it. Back in the day many PC Games where designed tom play specific music tracks from the CD as certain points. It´s the same Soundtrack as the Dreamcast Version.
Wetrix on N64 was one of the games I rented a few times back in the day. I tended to prefer Tetrisphere more, but I thought this was okay too. Like the video said it's kind of a complex game with a steep learning curve, and I did find it annoying and borderline unfair at times, like when the earthquake meter is high and it decides to give a long string of upper pieces or when the mines keep falling into your biggest lake and fireballs refuse to show up while the mines aren't there. But overall it's a fun game that I'd buy on a modern console if they ever did a remake or remaster of it.

Don't know how I stumbled across it but I bought Wetrix for the N64 about 5 years ago and it is a favourite among my friends who play older games. The "Lakes" line has always been funny to me.
Looks like you're playing emulated; one of the biggest things stopping this game from taking off was how hard it was to control using the N64 controller, and how poorly it ran, often dipping into single digit frame rates. Still I fell in love with it back in the day and forced myself to get good at it.
i do play n64 wetrix on console, and all the n64 footage is captured from hardware. i did emulate everything else lol and yeah thats just about the only complaints i have with wetrix, but its so cool i cant help but love it :] (plus the slowdown kinda helps sometimes lol)

This is a fun video, I’m off work today, drank too much last night. Had a lot I wanted… well had to do today but I woke up wondering when I went to bed, feeling well in the way only age is drinking along with a bad liver can give you. I don’t get hang overs anymore. Other things happen like cramps in areas you never thought could cramp and my left arm started tingling like it fell asleep and that sucks because now it will be up all night. Ugh…. I’ve felt worse before. I guess I spent all my money last night too. I seem to have two chicken sandwiches from the dollar store, doesn’t seem like I spent all my money there. Thankfully I lost my weed a little last night, found it so I have that

I only ever got to play this when I went on vacation in Florida with my family, but I always really liked it if anyone finds a stable rom image of it I would love to play it again on emulator, I've tried before but I just haven't been able to find a stable copy
ive had a lot of people rec tetrisphere to me, and now i wanna check it out! i saw it at a retro game store the other day,but passed it up for doshin the giant. perhaps ill have to go back....
Regarding not mentioning Wetrix on Steam page, I'm not sure if they're legally allowed to. Like, at best this would be opening yourself to litigation, at worst it would be directly violating trademarks.
thats fair, but i feel like plenty of other games mention their influences on their steam pages outright. im not entirely certain how all that works though, so i could just be completely wrong

Also there's a purple girl plok who dresses as plok, I don't think anything was done with her yet when I read it. Also Plok's grandpappy comes back as a robot.

i just recently stumpled upon this game too, its very fun. i personally prefer the dreamcast version the most but i also heard there is a very similar game for the ps2 called aqua aqua but i havent tried it yet.
Please make a vid on 1080 snowboarding and its sequel, they're really good
thats what im thinking my next scripted video is gonna be, ive got some other videos in the oven right now but 1080 video is guaranteed to happen eventually
I only ever got to play this when I went on vacation in Florida with my family, but I always really liked it if anyone finds a stable rom image of it I would love to play it again on emulator, I've tried before but I just haven't been able to find a stable copy
okay but what about Tetrisphere
I literally never hear anyone else talk about that game
ive had a lot of people rec tetrisphere to me, and now i wanna check it out! i saw it at a retro game store the other day,but passed it up for doshin the giant. perhaps ill have to go back....
hey, I like this game little bit too!
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WETRIIIIIIIIXXXXXXX NUMBER OOOOOOOONEEEEE
This video was lovely:)
I had only ever heard of Wetrix by name, maybe I should give the DC version a try. Looks like one of those old god games, but as a puzzle game.
you have cool tastes in video games broooooooo
judging by the uploads on your channel you have great taste in music!! i love the atmosphere series, crazy good mixes
Oh wow I've played this before
Hm…I’ll have to try wetrix at some point…looks neat
This Video is Awesome
Based and wetrix pilled
