- On this episode of Soulmates, meet Heather and Magic. Heather has loved horses her whole life, but when she met a neglected horse named Magic she found her kindred spirit. Seeing how her newborn daughter was bonding with Magic, and reflecting on the effect horses had on her own life, Heather was inspired to start a program for at-risk girls to care for horses and learn that they are worthy of all that life has to offer.

I love horses so much. They saved me as a child. I had a lot of bad things going on when I was younger. Being around my horse was the only safe place for me. I miss my Sporty so much. He lived into his 30's, he was my best friend ❤️😭

I have loved horses my whole life, they are one of my favorite animals. Sadly, i had to give up horseback riding a few years ago due to financial reasons. Riding was one of the best things to happen to me. It makes me smile that although I may not be able to experience that again, that others are experiencing that happiness that horses bring to one's life. Amazing video Dodo 💜
Having dealt with stallions since I was very young, a lot of them are complete gentlemen and big babies for love and affection! My stallion, Platinum, is a complete love bug!
Advice to anyone who wants a stallion:
Just like with all horses, it depends on whether or not they are properly trained. With stallions it’s VERY important to teach them ground manners around other stallions, mares, and foals as well as people! No matter if they are “cut” or “uncut”, ground manners are very important around anything and everything!

Why would someone dislike this video??? It's awesome and very inspiring in my opinion.
Shame that the previous owners have no knowledge on how to take care of horses. I suggest that those who want to own them need to have a special permit and undergo a test.
Disagree. People don't need yet another permit in their lives. Should they have a permit to bear children as well? It doesn't work. Better that people have freedom and when that freedom is abused, there are dire consequences. Jail is too kind.

I think people should have permits and require education before reproducing....
That'll solve a lot of things, permit for owning any pet, a child, a gun, voting etc

You have to register your pets with the city, they must be spayed or neutered or yourr fined, ect...
You have to run background check to buy a gun. Hell you cannot even possess a gun in some states!
They want to start installing microchips in people.
A permit for horses is idioc along with alot of other things that spew from the mouth of unknowing and unthinking people.

I missy horses so much.. I grew up with them and wheny grandfather passed away mine was sold. We kept one who passed away a few years ago. My fiance and I bought an old farm house. I hope I can finally get us each a horse next year. They are true therapy

1:35 My horse, Graydog, did the same exact thing when I met him.
I was instructed on to put on the harness, when he just rested his head on my shoulder!
From then on, he has always had my heart!

Wow- that was heartwarming. I've always wanted to do the same thing for teenaged girls & sometimes mixing it up with healing long weekends for women who have gone through emotional abuse. There IS something truly magical about the healing abilities of horses. I have loved them since I was 3 & spent my late 20s-40 with a herd. Best times of my life. Lacking the funds to create my dream & my vision. I would only have rescued horses... to rescue the girls & women - a win/win! ❤🐴❤

Magic reminds me so much of a rescue horse the ranch I used to work at took in -sadly, our boy Captain had a really hard time recovering from his malnourishment and was only with us for a year before passing away, but damn if he didn’t impact everyone who worked with him.
We had my sister Linda's Pony and half quarter horse. Chocolate was the pony, and Danny boy was the half quarter horse. Dana was quite the jumper! Chocolate just got to cart hooked up to him and toted the kids around. They were awesome, especially when they eat all the grass that me and my brother had to mow!

my horse mentor who happened to be an Olympic runner up ran a equine therapy LLC. she had this white horse named Ribbit that she used to do a particular kind of therapy with. She used to have the clients, old and young use non toxic paint to finger paint their emotions on RIbbit's belly. He had this way of just knowing when the client was finished, and he would reach his head around to look at what they painted on him. twice he did this, then buried his face in the client's chests. Ribbit had to be put down after he fracture his leg, but to this day i remeber him every time i work with a horse. He was the perfect example of how understanding and theraputic horses are to the human soul.
