Police Captain Ed spent ALL his free time trying to rescue an escaped beefalo named "Buddy" in Connecticut. He tried night vision goggles, a drone, and even hid for hours in a trailer. It was all worth it when Buddy was finally rescued and brought down to Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary in Florida.

And for that reason when this video did came up, I didn't regret using my college break time by watching this video that almost feels like a good Solid movie. Idk about yall but I was very touched by this story, buddy the bull haha.
It's nice to see cops acting like human beings every now and then instead of just murdering unarmed black people. I for one would like police officers all across the US to be forced to go to weekly therapy and do monthly humanitarian and animal welfare work, to keep them from going psycho.

The fact that vegans act like plants aren't sentient loving beings too. Wow. How little people know. Mother trees share resources with their own children first. That is because they're sentient, loving parents. So don't be so judgy. I hate that we're all made to eat each other but acting like eating plants is not as horrible as eating other animals is wrong. When you eat a tomato it's no different than eating an egg.
I feel like we often forget about the animals that are massed produced for human consumption like cows and how complex and intelligent they really are. They’re not just mindless meat bags, they have feelings and form bonds with others.
🥰😍🙏
Exactly
Yeah but they also taste amazing
Cognitive dissonance, allows us to do cruel things to benefit
Their existence is based on that desire for consumption, just as "Beefalo" are popularized for the same thing.

Reminds me of a cow that escaped the farmer to join a herd of European bisons. They protect her from wolves.

@@Ass_of_Amalek I don't know what happened to her in the end, to be honest. There was another one that ran away from a meat truck and was caught but unfortunately it died from stress but it was not the 'bison cow.'

If you are interested, look up what happened,oh,I think it was the early years of the 20th Century. The caves of Lascaux provided the look of the wild aurochs, and some American ranchers decided to try to breed back and recreate the wild animal from existing breeds.
The last true aurochs was killed in Poland in the 17th C,I think.
Using such as Mexican fighting bulls, longhorns and other,a program was established. It happened much faster than anticipated. When one program recreated size and shape, another recreated coat colour. When the two were crossed, when the animals hit adulthood, bang that was it.
Intelligent, very large, they were killers. Attacking just about anything that moved. The behaviours of the wild aurochs were to protect the herd by attacking anything other. The recreated critters behaved similarly. Cowboys on horses were a target for their horns, not something that could move within a herd. The program had to be stopped, the animals shot.
So Buddy being a beefalo had enough wild mix to make him stubborn,he got what he wanted,a herd. And survival.Good for him.
We need reminders of the long centuries it took to breed cattle that could be around humans.

Of course these animals can sense it. The whole slaughterhouse smells like fear for them. What most people don't know is that this is not only bad for the animals it is as well bad for the humans who consume this meat because it is FULL of adrenaline not only from the fear of being killed but also from the stress of the transportation. These animals are stucked in tiny boxes inside that truck, its extremely noisy and dark, they don't get any food or water - so they are constantly under stress and panic. In old times people did either kill their animals themselves or the butcher made it right at the farm or the transport was made by herding the cows to the next slaughterhouse but in todays industrialized meat factory system this isn't possible anymore. On top these animals get a often hormones so they would grow faster and antibiotics because otherwise they would get sick when they are held so close to each others in the barn.
it's sad but meat is a part of most animals diet. it is an unfair way of the world. i definitely agree that the way we get are meat is 99 percent inhumane. if we localize agriculture we can reduce our carbon emissions so much

Fr tho!!
We’d still have problems.
if it was not because of crime we would not have problems at all,
True but even with good cops some people makes cooperation difficult so there will still be problems 😓😓
Gotta love white people
I think if an animal has that much determination to live, like us....he deserves to. So thankful for all these people who helped him. Thank you.👏👏❤😘
All animals that aren't harming others deserve to live. No animal wants to be slaughtered for our tastebuds.
All animals have strong will to live. All will try to get away when theyre in pain and forced into something they hate, few succeed.
humans like you are the reason i still love this life. so .. thank you for being just you
That cop is the BEST HUMAN. To fly all the way over there just to be sure the bull is okay is amazing.
He deserves to be sent to a sanctuary. They do have feelings and make friends and have fear. Please set him free ✝️✝️✝️✝️
Imagine what he must have heard and seen to make that break for it successfully
He does live at a sanctuary now :)

A beautiful story of Buddy , a feel good and happy ending.
Hey
Being a CT resident I can confirm the residents were truly vested in his rescue. I loved hearing the sightings updates on my drive into work in the morning. So happy he’s safe and loved.
This is so damn cute. These cops and community were just having the best time.
All the animals were in on it. That fox, lmao.
...love how you brought the humans together, Buddy - keep up the great work, buddy 😉 .. all domesticated animals, deserve a loving home & a life of dignity ❤ 🇨🇦
I'm so glad the officer worked so hard to save him. I'm glad everything worked out for Buddy.
Would love to see occasional updates on Buddy and his new friends at Critter Creek.
That's where he is!
THIS story helps to show what is so unique and wonderful about America.
And I'm so happy for Buddy! He escaped and actually found a better life!

There have been identical stories in every civilised country in the World I'm sure, great ending.
@@benedictearlson9044My friend, let's just keep it real real okay.
In most other countries somebody would have captured him....
AND ate him
@Maito Gai NOTHING wrong with taking pride in the good things people in your country do.
That goes for anyone from any country. Don't make ASSumptions my friend...
@Maito Gai I seriously don't know what you're talking about
These are the sort of animal stories that I live for. Thank you all so much for saving the wonderful Buddy. So worth it.
