Any movie breakdown you post is great! Your fans will love whatever you post!
Hey
Yes
Any content is great content
Yes
The reloading alone makes John Wick one of the best action movies.
Yeah its just perfect. In most of the action movies guns just have infinite ammo till its important for the story to be empty
Not only that, but also how "real life" the reloading actually looks also. Not just bullet counting. At 1:30 exactly when Lad says "number 2", you see this perfectly as John flicks the mag out. He ejects a clip this way many other times, not all seen in this video. When using a gun, and you eject the clip or mag, it doesnt always just "fall out" perfectly like in movies. They stick sometimes, they get hot and dirty and so on, sometimes you have to sorta pull them out or fling them a little and so on. "John" or Keanu or both take the time to truthfully make sure the mag flings out and never takes the chance of just letting it drop. Having to reach up to pull an empty clip out while you already have the next one ready in hand would be something Wick would never do as good as he is
YAS..
Just a pity about the muzzle flashes
@@Belkalton Keanu worked his ass off on the shooting range, practicing for John Wick! check out his practical shooting and training videos with Taran Tactical :)
“He not only got the puppy some food, but toys for the puppy to play to”
*p a i n*
I cried
Right in the feels.
dude :(
And yet those idiots questioned him to get his revenge over a f**king dog, over a a f**king car
Viggo and son wound up paying for those puppy toys.
This is what I like about John Wick movies. The realism of him reloading after every last shot has been fired. He even takes his three gun techniques Very Seriously, to the point where ACTUALLY participates in training with the REAL STEEL weapons, even off camera, at a REAL gun range, with expert instructors, and staff. I’m also impressed with all the stunt work he performs himself. And on top of all this, he is the most humble, and down to earth human being you could ever know,.......and that’s a lot of humanity, for a guy who works in the entertainment industry....Keanu Reeves.....” The Man “ 😎🙏🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭👍
Philippine flag! Nice. My home away from home
Ya…to bad Baldwin didn’t follow this routine…basic 101…
I’ve seen video of Keanu Reeves training at Tarran Tactical. The man is an absolute machine. He could easily be a formidable 3 gun competitor if he decided to quit acting
If you guys are interested in who trained him ,his name is Taran Tactical and has many videos of Keanu practicing
We need Steven Seagal in John Wick
As people are well aware, Keanu has been through extensive weapons and martial arts training before the Wick series, mostly on the Matrix. Halle Berry spent 8 months training five different dogs and went through martial arts training just for the Casablanca scene, they are both in their 50's which makes it even more impressive.
The attention to detail in these films is what truly drives them. Keanu does so much work to make this shit look as real as possible. It’s very impressive and needs to be appreciated by more, in my humble opinion
Agreed. There's nothing "everyday action film" about the John Wick series. I really hope they never lose that
@Dog Supremacy and that’s why they make chocolate and vanilla
@Dog Supremacy I see where you are coming from in a way but remember Keanu is in his 50s and he's pretty tall and broad. he's not going to be as swift as an actor younger with a smaller stature. 🤷🏻♀️
Hello friend
@larkholland. Dang, you are right. I was going to say I didn't think he's 50 yet, but he's actually two months older than me. He's 57, I'm not for another week.
That’s the thing I love about John Wicks movies... People never have unlimited bullets lmao
and when he's out of bullets he use a fuckin pencil!
@Z1x Soul
Or the "Pantented Walker Texas ranger 37 shot 6-shooter™"
@Z1x Soul idk if these people understand but cardo is just a john wick poser lol
@Z1x Soul you forgot to mention the unlimited life of Cardo
I mean the code for unlimited bullet is pretty easy to access, it's their fault for not using the cheat code.
As a life long gun guy, and a car guy. Watching Wick is like watching a car movie made by car guys. The details mean everything. The fact he spent so much time with Taran Butler made us all respect him. He was a true natural 3 gun shooter also. Then between each movie, he went back and learned something new to show off. He gets huge respect from us gun guys. Makes me feel like Shawn Wick when that big Taran tactical triangle shows on the end of my carry gun mag.
The thing I love about keanu is his dedication to roles, John wick is a perfect example. He trained in Japanese jujitsu, Brazilian jujitsu and judo just so he could make the hand to hand combat as real as possible. That’s why the john wick series are my favourite movies ever.
The Canadian Lad wrote his script with a pencil, a f*cking pencil.
I was shocked too
Woah
Dear god
😂👌
You dont?
The best part about wick is he doesnt shoot 50 shots out of a 10 round mag.
Are you sure about that? Watch some of the movies and you’ll see some scenes where he does
The only gun he uses that carry’s 10 rounds is the shotgun in part 2
@@mynameisrits it's just a generalisation, lots of movies don't have fun reloads lol

The New Jersey gas station thing might not be an error. NJ borders New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, none of which prohibit self service gas. And, especially for places near the NJ border, they could reasonably have a NJ newspaper available.

Yep Keanus training and weapon use is SPOT ON. Professional forces guys have reviewed his movies and agree with this. Many other movies the 'bad guys' will blast away 20/30 rounds with a PISTOL or pump action BEFORE reloading LOL! Some 'gangsters' will even hold something like a Desert Eagle leaned over on its side in ONE hand and shoot it......good luck with that if you have ever fired one! If you like a broken wrist! Great video!!
I absolutely love this! The Details you spotted, just amazing 👏 From how each gun is used differently and you pointed out the variances to the wind in Dafoe's hair causing that slight differential in calculation. Plus I love Keanu Reeves. Bonus: as someone pointed out, he saves the dog! Hardly does that happen. I'd say each detail is thought out with much consideration.
This guy is wrong about pretty much anything he says about guns. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about and myself, as well as others in this thread have corrected him. For instance, you don't do a press check to make sure the bullet didn't jam. You can tell it were jammed if the back of the slide wasn't seated forward. This guys is pretending to know stuff he doesn't know. It's apparent to those of us who shoot for work, hobby, whatever.
Thanks for the love and support I really appreciate ❤️ it , you can write me directly to my email 🥰
The wind in Marcus's hair was an amazing detail
Hmmm....it blew the left side of his hair , so He’d have to aim left to compensate. Even more intriguing?
@Pickle Or he's wearing a wig , and never noticed 💂♀️
If you realize, when John fills up gas, and Vigo sons come, the music say "get the money, gotta get the money" that if John tell the price of the car, sell it, and get the money, the whole movie will stop right there
Marcus’
Very confusing without watching the whole thing
The fact that John took home a dog meant to be put down is absolutely brilliant. Just raised the movie to another level, in my mind.
I'm with you on that note 💯
Indeed
Not only that but I believe, correct me if I’m wrong, that Keanu actually adopted that dog at the end of the movie irl
Wow ... I didn't know that!😮
It's in my library so I'll watch it again.👍🏼

Kimber's are NOT known for misfeeds either from first round misfeeds (empty chamber, cycle the slide to chamber a round from magazine, fully loaded or only one. Even if left loaded for years...) Or tactical reload. (Replacing the mag at any point before it's empty.) As well, since we're being concise, true and complete. I'll walk you through the other possibility. ANY automatic center-fire pistol (ACP) can misfeed, stovepipe or ejection failure under certain conditions. (Heavily jarred at precise moment, subsonic ammo w/0 a suppressor, not properly maintained, ext.)
That said, here's the backstory , I mean the Kimber story not the one about me being sorta touchy about my only carry of choice. (Combat vet, been shooting my whole life, all different aspects, I've trained and been trained and so forth....) Early on Kimber had a problem with a production run of 1 model's ejector. It's been long time fixed. Above and beyond what's reasonable by the manufacturer. Ithink the only reason anyone might perpetuate this story is for only two reasons. First, I know of no finer 1911 architecture inspired ACP in the world. Bar none. They're truly the reliability of the the old colt. With the eurogonomic design consideration any Fung schway enthusiast would find overboard in technical subtlies. I kid you not. I think Mr. Reeves did that one handed "tactical" round check because clearly there's no cooler ACP to illustrate that move on. From the coolest Mr fr in Hollywood. And I think that goes even farther into the characters "cool under fire' persona.
The second reason he might bring that up is... clearly he doesn't know any better... Or maybe he just doesn't know.
It's 2021 and I'm still coming to grips with how amazing that movie is! 🤔😱👍
John couldn't save his dog earlier but saved another in the end.
He was running Wick 98 but downloaded the update to Wick 10. Now he has faster boot in ass speed.

Ya, movie was good but didn’t have Keanu entering (owning) a restaurant dining room in slow motion. in Always Be My Maybe.Doesn’t sound like much, but..., well you know, it was Keanu.
The one thing I love the most about all of the John Wick movies is that he's constantly reloading, proving that the makers of the film wanted them to be as realistic as possible. No "Hollywood magazines" for John Wick, that's for sure! Nothing kills an adventure movie with shooting scenes in it faster than seeing the good guy fire a shotgun a dozen times or a pistol thirty times before reloading - if at all. (Yeah, I'm the guy who counts rounds when the guy is using a revolver!)
And the thing about the Kimber is dead on - I went to the range just today with a friend who brought a Kimber to the range with him, and sure enough it jammed on the first round TWICE. Personally, if I'm gonna pay THAT MUCH for a gun (which I won't, by the way, EVER) it better work flawlessly every time I shoot it. (I took my Springfield Mod 2 .45 to the range and put 100 rounds through it without any issues.)

Just a quick note, we don't wear the watch on the inner side to stop reflections, we do it so we can see it when we're holding a rifle/carbine/etc at length without having to adjust our grip to see the exact time. The reflection would still happen but just at a different direction
also could be to prevent breaking the watch face

When John sneaked up behind Francis at the club where Losef was at, he told John he lost over *60 pounds* when he mentioned his weight when actually he was telling John how many guards were inside the building, Thts why the “sixty” was highlighted when it was shown in subtitles

Holy shit, I missed that!!
He actually tells him 20 kilograms. Which is about 44 lbs. Not sure why the subtitle translation says 60 lbs.

I have watched that movie many times including the theater and I noticed only ONE of the details: the dog toys in the back of the car. Very fantastic finding these and many give extra meaning to the nuances of the film. Thank you!
I think most people notice the dog one, but this is really well done. Lot of stuff I didn't notice.
Another small detail is that Viggo had John's phone number in a notebook goes to show how far back those two worked together
I enjoyed the way it was shown also. It very much showed the nature of that type of buisness from the other side. Here is a huge crime boss with hired men who would follow his orders. And yet he still keeps a little black book in a small drawer in his private office desk with phone numbers. Not the phone number for the boogie man, he works for him and is already downstairs, but phone numbers of people "you send to kill the f*ing boogie man".
Another one that I saw, two women in red dresses run by John and he doesn't pay attention to them. Remember the women in the red dress simulation scene in the Matrix?

Nice press-check of the Kimber 1911's chamber! Clean, concise, and safe as none of his fingers are either near the trigger or the muzzle. I was taught the old way...with your off-hand thumb in the trigger guard and the forefinger of the same hand over the recoil guide rod spring cap, just under the muzzle....not a comforting thought if the trigger is accidentally dropped! However, I can only use this method with guns that have short, original 1911-type guide rods, hence, probably why John uses his way as many/most modern Kimbers and other 1911's have full-length guide Rods. Hard to do tho, with guns that have moderate to strong recoil springs. With my all-original Colt 9mm Combat Commander, I can barely crack the chamber open. With my Colt Delta Elite 10mm, not happening. Maybe in the film the Kimbers were tricked-out with much weaker springs as they had to fire blank loads, which are way less power than real cartridges. But no matter....I still like the scene and love the movies!
Hey The Canadian Lad, thanks for sharing, great video! I have one finding I saw myself that isn't in this video. I don't believe it's an error but just a way Hollywood saves some budget on these type of expensive movies. If you closely look and check the scene when John Wick rides a horse while he escapes in between all the cars in the traffic with lights turned on in the road you will see that there is NO EVEN ONE person on any car. I guess they saved a couple of bucks on extras there hehe. And it's interesting how psychology and the mind works when you are completely focused on a subject (John and the horse) and you don't even realize there is no one on those huge lines of cars in the traffic. ;) Cheers!

I've been carring a Kimber TLE II for 20 ÷ years and it's jamed EXACTLY TWICE.
The first jam was when it was brand new , second mag through it.
The second was in VERY COLD weather and it was because of the type of oil I used on it.
I don't know where you get your information from but out of the box Kimbers are some of the most reliable 1911s out there.
Most jamming issues are mag related anyway.
And FYI, NO ONE in the middle a real fight stops and does a press check.
Yes, most jamming issues are fucking mag related, that's what he said in the video, and that's why he press checked after reloading, and he wasn't in the middle of a gun fight.
Is it typical? No. Does it make sense? Yeah.
Plot-wise it's also not his gun, so he has 0 clue as to how maintained it is, and so ensuring before he's about to get to be engaged that his firearm is good to go, is just good training.
Knowing he saved the dog redeems him so much as a character for me. I never liked that scene cause I thought he was stealing, so that fixes the only problem I had with this movie
I thought everyone would have caught that detail on the first viewing
Not very observant are you
Lmaoooooooo this guy. You were cool with everything else but taking a dog from a shelter was where u draw the line. I mean let's be real real here. Most dogs don't get adopted from shelters, they get put down bucko. Plus it's a pit too, come on bro, use your common sense.
....ok

As a gun enthusiast, i can make a statement that john wick is one of the most realistic action movies. It's always a pleasure to see Keanu's commitment to shooting practice.
There was a video by a US marine who broke down the entire gun scenes in John Wick and he says he is doing everything exactly like a real soldier would do in gun combat. His big gun's butt on his shoulder, the grip on smaller guns with the other hand anticipating for what's next.
Not sure but I heard that he actually trained with the experts for this movie and that's why he nails it.
The only mistake he made was that he is perfect and no one is perfect so...
What do you call a guy like John Wick who knows so much about the intricacies of handguns and other firearms so he knows which guns jam or not?
@@humanbeing1429 Yup, Keanu has indeed trained with actual SWAT & military guys to prepare for the films (plus competition-style shooting, as well-3-gun).
And from what one of the guys who did the action choreography said, it sounds like he wanted Keanu to meet guys like this not only to gain the technical skills but also to experience what people who've gone through certain profound experiences in real life are like.

Great video. Only one note, self pump in NJ has been legal since the very early 1990's. I was stationed there from 89-93 and self pump had just became a thing.
Really love your work ! and truly respect the time you must put into it.Thank you :)
These types of details are why this movie is so satisfying.
Its truly amusing that how you turn some mistakes in a movie into a concept or detail...
Okay
its not amazing, its the art of over analyzing movie
@@nilanavesa shut up. Don't act you haven't done it before
@@knightghost1782 i havent done it before cus i think its cringy, the director say its a mistake, thats it, if somebody said it has a deeper meaning, its just plain made up stories
Appreciate the video it is well made. However if you listen to the commentary of the movie, he explained the 1911 presscheck as the f you press check. He did it as a inside joke. When the Kimber jams on the first round the slide won't go fully into battery. And typically it isn't the fault of the Kimber, it's the fault of the magazine that Kimber uses not holding the bullet in the correct position. This has since been corrected and is a overblown misconception. I had the exact model he has in the movie and I currently carry a Kimber Aegis for a daily carry pistol and it has never done that with aftermarket mags
God I love John Wick. The movies are incredible and I love how John constantly reloads so it’s realistic.🔥
Friend : Hey do you wanna watch a movie?
Me : Who all are in it?
Friend : Well there's Keanu Reeves, and..
Me : Say no more!
me: who dont wanna watch keanu reeves's movie? imma kill them with a fuckin pencil!
So you're telling me, John Wick adopted a doggo that was about to be put down? Holy shit that's some beyond wholesome thing that we absolutely didn't notice (or atleast I didn't)
Me either lol
That is my favourite move
I had noticed the poster next to the dog's cage. It really touched me.
It's a DOG!!! D.O.G! DOG! What's with the stupid, inane, let's make up a word shit? Doggo? Sorry, mano, thato iso bullshito!

As somebody who lives in the garden state yes it is illegal to pump your own gas but at a small station like that one you could pump your own gas and they wouldn’t say anything. I pump mine at the lukoil down the street because the attendant is usually overrun by customers. Great details man loved the video.
As a former longtime NJ resident there are in-fact some normal gas stations where you HAVE TO pump your own gas. This is usually in rural or more secluded enclaves (quiet wealthy towns etc where not a lot of non-residents drive through)
"killed 3 men with a fUking pencil"
gold
Just realized that killing 3 men with pencil may not be so difficult by itself as keeping a single pen unbroken while repeating this 3 times.

@@GarciaOnThaBeat wow, my friend. Thank you for taking the time to write.🙂
Yes. Definitely detail I never noticed before, as many times as I watched.
you might have forgotten a cool one : when john goes from the bathlounge into the dancefloor he fires his gun along the beat of the music and the people dont freak out wich gives him opportunity to blend with the crowd
Watch this gives me chills how much the little parts they add in this movie
Keanu Reeves is notorious for things like this. I took a class and we did breakdowns of films. The symbolism in The Matrix is immaculate.
Keanu Reeves is a living legend in my book. Intelligent, Loyal to his family and very humbles
What class?
He didn’t do anything but act. The symbolism is written in by the writer and sometimes the director.
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheritrix5733 Keanu never does nothing but just act. Hes driven, creative, a perfectionist, and an intellectual. Hes been involved in details and the creativity of his movies for many, many years.

You have a higher chance of not going back into slide lock by press checking. He’s not making sure that the kimber didn’t jam (even though they are known for breaking) he was making sure that a round was feed into the chamber
Very good. I would like to know how long did it take you to go trough the whole movie at the 1/4 speed, while also paying attention to details, etc. How does one do that kind of project, anyway ? Do you just play the movie and finish in the evening/night ? Or is it something you did in parts, like every day for a couple of hours and so on ?
Thanks for the content !
Keanu Reeve's dedication to the John Wick series is insane. Watching him train in three gun with Halle Berry proves this. Truly one of the best
America: Yes, you may own a minigun.
Also America: No, you may not pump your own fuel.
It's only New Jersey and Oregon that do it. It's mostly so people can have jobs. I live in New Jersey and there are about 9 million people packed into a state that is only 8,729 mi²(22608.01km²).
Where can’t we not pump our own fuel?
@@Czarwinters3313 I mean, if you look at the only other reply, you'll get your answer. Not to mention it's kinda... In the video you're commenting on, hence why I made the comment in the first place.
I feel like I need to clarify for some Americans that this is a joke, because you don't seem to be getting that.
We pump our own fuel what
@@nerph5762 I'll also refer you to the first reply, where someone pointed out where you can't pump your own fuel in certain states. I'll also refer you to the video you're commenting on, where the person clearly tells you its illegal in New Jersey (hence why I even made the comment).
I'd then like to refer you to my last reply where I made it clear that this is a joke because I know Americans struggle to understand jokes sometimes.
I just love the character John wick. he's extremely skilled and experienced but at the same time he trained to become that way. his enemies fear him because of his abilities and how he acts. he is never afraid, no matter if literally the world is standing against him and he takes the consequences for what he does. we don't know much about his past life, only that he has lots of incredible stories and a huge past. it makes him really mysterious. especially the respect and fear his enemies have shows who he is
