Yeah, I agree. This tune wasn't in the original FF7 as far as I can remember so it must have been composed especially for Remake. It suits the game perfectly.
@@bobbybearing1767 it wasn’t. But it’s got a very strong resemblance to life stream from the ff7 soundtrack. Go listen to that and then this. You’ll see what I mean
I remember smiling when I saw this scene. For context, I had never played FFVII, so I didn't know Aerith would be waiting for Cloud. So when Aerith surprised Cloud, all I could think was "it's on!" :D I would say chapters 8 and 9 were my favorite parts of the game: the mood is light, the music is great, and Cloud and Aerith are on one never-ending date. What a classic!
As someone who did come from playing the original first (and who adores the game) This track being a new addition to remake honestly...it invokes nostalgia regardless and it brought me back to my first time hearing the original FF7 tracks in game. I had to take pause to drink it in. It caught me completely by surprise and left me just falling in love again. It's such a lovely song I find myself humming as if I've heard it for decades. And the fact the track place if you go back to that path is such a brilliant move. Like the memory of the time there is ever lingering with every visit. It fits so perfectly.
I’ve never played the original game, but I absolutely love the Remake. I can honestly say (and it might be a little embarrassing or weird) that I’ve legit fallen in love with a fictional character for the first time in my life. From the moment I crashed into the church, walking the rooftops, picking flowers, and then finally this scene. Coupled with this music solidified my feelings for her. Aerith is honestly perfect in my opinion.
@@russuponatime I’m literally replaying through the game again as we speak. It’s just so freggin good. I love all of the characters so far. Tifa is a babe and sweetheart for sure!
Though Aerith is not the first fictional character that I fell inlove with, I somehow relate to what you've said as she is my first love in RPGs♡. I thank her for making me discover how amazing RPGs are💗.
To a character and a game I started out sick of being overrated and having never played, when she said “Because I’m not sick of you yet”, I felt that because I too was starting to really love Cloud. This scene changed how I viewed this game
My guess is that since he's already seen a vision of Aerith dying from the OG game but didn't understand what he was seeing, this time he felt the emotions that went along with when Aerith died. Could be both though
I'd say it's more that his Jenova cells contained the memory, which is because Sephiroth knows about the memory/knows the events of the original game--and he has pseudo-control of these Jenova cells in Cloud's body). So because the FF7 Remake Sephiroth knows about the events of the original FF7, so too do the "Jenova cells", and thus Cloud is able to have a pseudo-memory of these events and subconsciously has an emotional response to it (seeing Aerith walk away to the City of the Ancients--to her death).
It could be the jenova cells or the mako. I understand that because he was treated so heavily in mako, he had a connection to the earth, and therefore to the ancients. Could also be referring to a different timeline, because I guess there is the possibility that aerith doesn’t end like she does in the original.
No 🙄 It's because the view of her walking away triggered the memory of her walking away in the Sleeping Forest in the original game, so Cloud feels the panic and sadness of Aerith leaving him to sacrifice herself for a brief moment. Nothing to do with zack.
The best song in the remake in my opinion ❤️

Elton Booth yeah you’re right, it wasn’t in the original.

@@David-nd4to You know, I completely forgot about that song. I'm glad you pointed it out, I think it definitely shares a similar feeling. Good call.
Men aerith is so perfect beautiful kind and understanding and like her personality 😢

one of the greatest qt patoots in all of fiction
It's really hard to believe that they've only spent a whole day together and already have this much chemistry♡.
💯

Completely understandable. I have this thing for Tifa 😭

Oh my gosh they are cute together. Thanks for posting!
They look cute together
Cloud is so cute 😊
I walked the whole time all sad knowing what was to come.. lol
Cloud is so lucky 🥰
It feels like an 80s romcom music, love it
I think this is where Cloud started to be open with Aerith. I love how he just tells her some things about him💗.
Stop running Cloud
Something I didn't notice until now. Notice how he turns his face from her as she checks up on him.

Glad to hear you picked up the game!
i was expecting to hear casiopea playing in the background
nice scene. liked it very much.
Best one🙌
Was the tear Cloud shed a memory triggered by jenova cells in connection with Zack?
My guess is that since he's already seen a vision of Aerith dying from the OG game but didn't understand what he was seeing, this time he felt the emotions that went along with when Aerith died. Could be both though
It's her I think. Proximity or on purpose, not sure.
