I love how close they are in the Remake with Tifa teaching Aerith how to hitch hike and Cloud reassuring Barret while telling him make sure he gets his rest. Aerith asking Barret which full day definition he meant.
Yeah I love how they are all connecting Its going to make cloud losing his God damn mind that much crazier with the events that should still happen I hope.
Mostly I'm just disappointed with the battle engine. I was confused about the spirt things at first and hated them.... but I guess this is a different universe or some shit... so I guess it makes sense in the new universe?

I absolutely love the way the remake sells these guys as becoming a group of actual friends. Even Cloud, ever the poser, is acting all aloof and distant, but he can't help but smile.
Square did really well with character development for Cloud and Barret and their relationship over the Part I and you can see it here. Cloud 's smile at the group at 1:28 was priceless. They really care for one another now despite saying simple words. I love it! And 'Ahead On Our Way' is easily my favourite tune in this game.
I know they nailed the character realtionships. I can't wait to see the bromance between Barret, Red and Cid. I just hope they don't cut anything out, only keep adding to it.
Yeah, the remake's strongest point in my opinion is how much they develop the characters from the original. Just take Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge. In the original, they're literally just another NPCs, but here they have distinct personalities and everything. Losing them hits harder too...
Even in combat as the game goes on. Cloud and Barret antagonize each other less then start complimenting each other. By the end, they will sometimes comment on what a good team they make.

I love how Barret goes from optimistic about the journey at the beginning, to worn out on the side of the road, to jumping in front of a truck instead of risking them passing by the two ladies signaling him, to yelling at the driver of said truck, to singing to himself when no one around him responds to him, to being super optimistic when Kalm is in sight. Very relatable.
@@Carlisho he was a lot better by the time they reached Kalm though. Remember he was the one who told the whole Nibelheim story to the team. And was already cracking jokes by the time they got to Junon. He really had lightened up a lot more than people remember.
Man, I freaking love this game! As a Dirge of Cerberus fan, Intermission was such a cool expansion to the story for me personally, and as a Crisis Core fan this finale hit even harder.

When Barret says to take a big breath of fresh air, I love how Aerith lifts her arms up to take a deep breath. She's so excited to be out of the city and breathing nice non-polluted air!
What I love about this scene is how the two girls are making effort to engage with Barret, while Cloud is at the back. It's what I love about this Remake, the interactions and friendships are so realistic. Cloud is the main character and isn't always at the centre of conversation, which makes this so realistic.
This new ending lines up with my prediction for the next game: That it will start with a flash back to Cloud "being in SOLDIER" and Sephiroth destroying Nibelheim. We won't see the main party until the end of the flash back where it will be revealed that the whole thing was a story being told by Cloud to the others at the hotel in Kalm. The opening titles will be over a shot of the truck that Cloud and Sephiroth are in driving through the rain.

(Mine is a prediction, not a theory) At most, she knew a few things from the future because of contact with the Whispers. Just like Cloud saw the future a couple of times. They just messed with her more. She reacts too naturally for this to all be an act for her.
I feel like the story will be the same but Sephiroth will be the one to call him out mid flashback with moments where Cloud gets replaced by a, to him, unknown SOLDIER
I'm glad the writers remembered they were very close in canon, rather than constantly fighting and competing over Cloud like smoothbrain shippers kept asserting for decades.

I love the dynamic between them all already, it feels really genuine. Even Barret taking to a leadership role for now at least feels very natural since he's more outspoken. I'm really interested in seeing more of this
@@A203D i think its more along the lines on the original on how at the start of the journey it was Barret being the leader, but then later as he opens up to everyone and things slowly get more hectic, Cloud takes over. And as a plus for everyone who played the og, Tifa taking over briefly before leaving to take care of Cloud, and then Cid trying his best to be a fill in leader but cant do it aswell as Tifa and Cloud, and so with that he was happy/relieved to relinquish the role back to Cloud again when he comes back into the fold. But who knows things are changing, only the later parts can tell.
@@imsi107 In Og, Cloud was always the leader except for the first 2 bombing missions which was the only time in the game that Barrett was leader. When they were about to go in open world, near the midgar gate, there is a dialogue where Barrett says he will be the leader, but Aerith says it has to be Cloud. From then onwards, they follow Cloud. I don't think this is gonna change.....unless Zack comes, interferes and fck up the story.

This was the best surprise. The music and knowing what comes next left me with goosebumps. They have done the characters so much better than advent children did it’s incredible. Barret will surely have quite the ark and red XIII when they confront their pasts in the next game. And then Zach’s presence is just such a mystery. Would definitely like to see him reunite with Aerith and Cloud even if it’s for a bitter sweet moment.
Its so weird how much I didn't know I missed hearing these characters banter. Soon as it started I got a big old smile on my face and was instantly felt a kid again. Can not wait for the next part.
I like how humanly they move… if that makes sense?? They move so… normally like how we as actual human begins would with the little runs, and side foot steps, the loose swinging of the arms and finger movements it’s so lively! I love this! Especially the real-like facial expressions

Ever since the og came out "Ahead on our way" has been one of my favorite tracks that I would listen to randomly over the years. Beautiful, especially at 2:00... Shit gave me chills.
@Iron L Between characters other than Cloud x someone else? Not really. There was more interaction between Barret and Aeris in this scene than there was in the whole of OG.

Man I loved how close I felt with each of these characters with the remake. I never played the original, but I knew of a few key points. I definitely can't wait to keep adventuring with them as the story continues.
Intergrade was a wonderful finish, I greatly enjoyed returning to Midgar, if ever so briefly, and playing as Yuffie was pretty awesome. I couldn’t help but smile at this ending, Remake Part II is going to be something special.
@@ricardodeljesus4004 It's not exactly clear yet, but it seems that somehow, by killing the Arbiters of Fate at the end of Remake, the timeline has been altered so that Zack is now alive. Like I said though, it's not entirely clear how this works and will probably get answered in the next game.

Bump in road. Tifa grabs farmer's arm to catch her balance. She gives a genuine apology. Farmer is pleased by the accidental attention but quickly gathers his wits. Barret still notices and makes a very concerned/protective face. I love that no one did anything wrong, and we got a glimpse of a day in the life.

My take on this is that Zack was transported to FF7 Remake's present-day timeline and that the reason why there're a lot of refugees inside the church is that they took shelter there during the final battle of FF7. This could imply two things: 1- We will be able to play as Zack looking for Aerith 2 - Zack will be an enemy on Shinra's side looking for Aerith and will later on be an ally

Yeah just like in movies i guess they re-use pre-rendered 3d environments and just change textures! I do hope there is more exploring in the second game though - the first one felt kinda linear.

Graphics have come a long way, from ps1 to now ps5, but i'll always cherish the nostalgia of the old classics including OG Ff7 even the pixels and fmv's despite its age.😎⭐

Careful, salty cloti and zerith fans will gang up on you. These people probably played the remake part 1 and skipped all chapter 8 side quests, ignored all conversations between Aerith and cloud. That’s how much they hated clerith moments.
@@ZxChrono Nah, Cloud and Aerith do. They are connected much more deeply than everyone else. They can meet in dreams & have conversations. Cloud can instinctively feel Aerith in spirit (even before her death). This deep connection is only ever shown between Cloud and Aerith, which shows how important they are to each other.
The church cross behind the altar is different, Intergrade ending version has somekind of wood cross, which inline with CC & AC, but the one that we see in chapter 8 is different, with no wood
I love how they developed the relationships.. the contrast between cloud and barret in that scene vs how they were at the beginning of the game. Like family.. and what really gets me is the horror that yuffie went through, and how this group we are seeing now are literally the people who she needs in her life. Whether she or they know it or not. Its so good man...

What I love about this scene is how the two girls are making effort to engage with Barret, while Cloud is at the back. It's what I love about this Remake, the interactions and friendships are so realistic. Cloud is the main character and isn't always at the centre of conversation, which makes this so realistic.
2:16 Plot twist: Noctis and his friends and the broken down Regalia are just next to Cloud and co. trying to hail a ride too, while being off-screen!

This new ending lines up with my prediction for the next game: That it will start with a flash back to Cloud "being in SOLDIER" and Sephiroth destroying Nibelheim. We won't see the main party until the end of the flash back where it will be revealed that the whole thing was a story being told by Cloud to the others at the hotel in Kalm. The opening titles will be over a shot of the truck that Cloud and Sephiroth are in driving through the rain.

So one of the things they are building on is Avalance and Wutai. I think they are setting Barret up to eventually become the leader of Avanlance.
@@A203D i think its more along the lines on the original on how at the start of the journey it was Barret being the leader, but then later as he opens up to everyone and things slowly get more hectic, Cloud takes over.
And as a plus for everyone who played the og, Tifa taking over briefly before leaving to take care of Cloud, and then Cid trying his best to be a fill in leader but cant do it aswell as Tifa and Cloud, and so with that he was happy/relieved to relinquish the role back to Cloud again when he comes back into the fold.
But who knows things are changing, only the later parts can tell.

@@imsi107 In Og, Cloud was always the leader except for the first 2 bombing missions which was the only time in the game that Barrett was leader. When they were about to go in open world, near the midgar gate, there is a dialogue where Barrett says he will be the leader, but Aerith says it has to be Cloud. From then onwards, they follow Cloud. I don't think this is gonna change.....unless Zack comes, interferes and fck up the story.

This was the best surprise. The music and knowing what comes next left me with goosebumps. They have done the characters so much better than advent children did it’s incredible. Barret will surely have quite the ark and red XIII when they confront their pasts in the next game. And then Zach’s presence is just such a mystery. Would definitely like to see him reunite with Aerith and Cloud even if it’s for a bitter sweet moment.
I love seeing Aerith with the whole group !!!! We mostly saw her with cloud but I love seeing her interact with tifa and Barrett

Intergrade was a wonderful finish, I greatly enjoyed returning to Midgar, if ever so briefly, and playing as Yuffie was pretty awesome. I couldn’t help but smile at this ending, Remake Part II is going to be something special.

It's not exactly clear yet, but it seems that somehow, by killing the Arbiters of Fate at the end of Remake, the timeline has been altered so that Zack is now alive. Like I said though, it's not entirely clear how this works and will probably get answered in the next game.

My take on this is that Zack was transported to FF7 Remake's present-day timeline and that the reason why there're a lot of refugees inside the church is that they took shelter there during the final battle of FF7.
This could imply two things:
1- We will be able to play as Zack looking for Aerith
2 - Zack will be an enemy on Shinra's side looking for Aerith and will later on be an ally
Nope on Shinra's side since it was Shinra who tried to kill him.
It's more like the people are in the church because they're refugee from the plate collapse.
Or that Zack could be not the REAL Zack that has died. Probably part pf Jenova cells...

Cloud can instinctively feel Aerith in spirit (even before her death). This deep connection is only ever shown between Cloud and Aerith, which shows how important they are to each other.

I love how they developed the relationships.. the contrast between cloud and barret in that scene vs how they were at the beginning of the game. Like family.. and what really gets me is the horror that yuffie went through, and how this group we are seeing now are literally the people who she needs in her life. Whether she or they know it or not. Its so good man...
