Eh, given the standard roster of Touhou enemies is normally either the named characters, or generic fairies, having a random assortment of objects fight you mixes things up a little, so I don’t mind that. It also fits the whimsical nature of some Touhou plot beats + the Japanese folklore of cursed/possessed/transformed items that it often draws upon.
yea, it's supposed to be the yokai invading everything. I laughed when the vacuums attacked me.
Ill deffinently pick this one up in a year or two to get the story. Just like their previous game, the combat looks only at its best during the boss fights.

I was supposed to buy the CE of this a few minutes ago. Thankfully your review came in at the right time and I was able to dodge a bullet. I’ll probably pick it up once it’s cheap.
Love that they went with the Memories of Phantasm character design style. Its easily my favorite depection of the touhou girls.
It's also kind of a step back in costume design.
Using Marisa's UFO outfit is an instant penalty in costume design.
That ending comment 😂 so savage, but so true. These games are fun, bu i never buy them right away at full price, i always wait for a steep price drop .
haha, yea, i just felt like there was no rush to play this. I also wish there was just a buss rush available from the main menu so you didn't have to do the dungeon parts lol

I played the demo, wasn't too amazing. Was just more of the same stuff from the first two games. Things still haven't really gotten too much better from those games tbh. Just some new or remixed areas and minor gameplay changes and additions. Still heavily reusing assets even from the fan made youmu game from many many years ago. Not the greatest but far fr9m the worst. I'd say around a 7 seems fair.
RIP I should have watched this before buying so I could wait for a sale that is better than 10% off
nah man it looks really fun and simple, tried it and form your own opnion since these kinds of games really depend on the person

Original was the fan made one featuring youmu to defeat reimu.
Official was scarlet curiosity featuring remilia doing stuff, basically just the youmu one remixed.
This one I'm assuming might be reusing assets yet again and visiting some new locations and seeing more characters.
I have been trying to get into this series.
These types of side games are not the way at all

@@thequincy_ Touhou is a bullet hell. You could start with the Windows games at EoSD, read the print works (manga basically), or get into the music. There are good fangames too though, Luna Nights and the two Koumajou Densentsu games are neat
Luna Night is probably the best for sure.
This was supposed to be my first Touhou game, but I think I'll start with Scarlet Curiosity

Luna Nights is also great if you like metroidvanias
And of course the mainline danmaku or fighting games as well
