This is the happiest story. I had seen her on UA-cam a few years ago snd just wanted to see if she was still doing gymnastics. And here she is. Amazing gymnast.
I think I’ve seen her, too. Is that the same gymnast where parents new to the gym are always shocked when the coach would yell at, and the Dad said, “Treat her like everyone else?” This woman’s amazing. I would hurt myself if I tried to do some of those moves again. Some I never could do.
shes not a kid, she is an adult, stop calling disabled folks who are adult; kids. treat them age-appropriately. they may be somewhat immature emotionally and socially at times, but that does not mean they are not still adults with the experiences they have had, the wants and needs of any other adult. she is an adult, treat her like one, talk to and about her like an adult, give her the respect and dignity you would want. this is coming from 20 years of working in the adult social services field with clients and members from very mildly challenged to severe and profoundly challenged folks.
It's important how much family support she has always had. I often wonder what I could've done if I'd had a supportive family instead of one that was abusive and made fun of my disability. Every person should have a supportive family like she has.
@@Lori_L really that stupid and that racist are you. You are cruel. Meanwhile swimming is a paraolympic sports. Britian has a program for Disability Gymnastics. There’s a gymnast with one leg.
@@Lori_L So they don't need gymnastics in the Paralympics just because this one girl doesn't have a physical disability? There are lots of girls who DO have physical disabilities who would love to compete in gymnastics, and they shouldn't be denied it just because this one girl doesn't have a physical disability. They DO need gymnastics in the Paralympics!
@Lori_L: Down syndrome is a physical disability with an intellectual component. People who have it usually have low muscle tone, poor core strength, and sometimes slightly wonky body proportions (throws off center of gravity) and usually have to train more than others to get the same results athletically. They also tend to be a bit chubby in build. A ripped superstar gymnast with Down syndrome who looks like a fitness influencer is a testimony to INSANELY hard work on her part.
It’s a pun on her condition. And a pretty cute one at that. I bet she’d get a kick out of hearing it! If I were her I know I would! (And would probably make it into a t shirt!) :P
There’s fully functional lazy fat asses that can’t even do pull ups. Anyone that speaks about these people badly has high chances of becoming deformed themselves or their kids.

She's amazing, gymnastics at 31 aint easy! Her parents seem amazing. Its nice to see coverage of athletes with disabilities. :)

In this sport word „adult” is like insult… adult means „retired”. ;)
Such a sweetheart!!! I can tell how much she truly loves what she does!

A she’s an adult and B she is trying very hard so that’s why she is able to do it.
Lots of determination and perseverance.
An uplifting, inspirational video.

I don't think there's enough of them to create a competition.
Hi
Those bar kips and back handsprings aren't easy. I actually think it's unfair for her competition
Why should that be unfair for the competition? If she masters it and the others don't, then she absolutely deserves to win!
what goes up must come down
What do you mean by that?

You are making fun of someone with down syndrome, please seek help.
Why do you expect from a person with down syndrome? Do you expect her to be like Simone Biles?
Dad: “Honey, did you make the appointment for the prenatal tests?”
Mom: “Darn it- I forgot! Oh well, I’m sure everything’s fine.”
Baby: 🥴
Wow world class pos
IKR?! Those parents are terrible for not terminating the pregnancy.@@Duhhh123
Where's your video doing the same as her? That's what I thought.
