I've never really considered the sculptural aspect of sewing and it's making me want to learn sewing even more! Aside from that, I want to get into jewelry making and wood burning, and also get back into scrap booking. Looking forward to a year of creativity❣
I just found your page and it is one of my new favorites! This year I want to do more bookmaking (junk journals, notebooks ect), embroidery and scrapbooking. Learning to sew is on the top of my list. My husband's grandma used to do sewing as a profession so it would be nice to learn from her.
omg thank you so much! bookmaking is so cool, definitely something I'd love to get more into as well. learning to sew from your husband's grandma sounds like such an amazing opportunity, and I'm sure she'd be so happy teaching you!
Hadleyyyyy!!! 😊 Yes, there are just so many I have wanted to delve into…sewing with a machine, crocheting, clay (with a wheel and sculpture), stained glass making…I don’t know where to start…but thank you for the tip on the sewing book! 🤗
hi Hadley I just wanted to say you seem like such a wholesome person to be around 💗 and you are such a creative and inspiring person love you and your videos so much 🩷 >< loved the video as always can't wait for your next upload ☺️
When you start sewing, you also start noticing how poorly made off the rack garments, accessories and soft finishing are. And how expensive fabric is. And also how easy it is to accumulate a large stash of fabrics. My tip for the later, is to know what you are planning to make, the amount you need and the type of fabric before you look at buying fabric. It’s all to easy to fall in love with a fabric and buy it telling yourself ‘I’ll figure something to make out of it later’ but then later you discover it’s the wrong weight or stretch etc so you have to buy something else anyway. I have loads of fabric I love but there’s nothing I want to make that I can use it for 🤦♀️
Sewing is so sculptural and sometimes my brain gets sooo confused with what I’m doing. It’s like how am I making these strips of fabric into a 3D garment? It’s so wild

yess I don't really think 3dimensionally, so I'm just going along with the pattern and a bit confused, but it usually works out! hahaha
Great video! I want to try building Lego creations and making wool needle felt paintings in 2025.
that's awesome!! when I think of felting I always think of tiny sculptures, so I love the idea of making a felt painting!
