Can i see how you install your pipe for this wood stove? Recently bought my first wood stove a single door kodiak stove but need some help with how the pipes are installed also i try burning some wood but when I close the door the fire will die wondering what's the issue too
Somewhere on the stove (front) is a control for air flow. Look at 5:15 in the video, those two knobs are my air control. If both of those are closed tight the fire will go out. Dose you chimney pipe have a damper ? If so it should be open when starting a fire. On end of the "stove Pipe" (chimney pipe) is crimped and the other end is round. Crimped end goes inside the round end. I can not take mine apart and show you, because it is HOT! lol

Alaska stoves are good stoves
It has been good, has been in use for 30 years or more. I finally melted the baffle by burning Osage Orange for 20 years.
