    I am retired pipe welder and accomplished fabrication person. This guy did a fantastic job . I love the practical and logical approach with the mounting method of utilizing the tank grab handle for mounting mechanism.. And the cooking deck configuration 😊 nice job ❤. Throw a little sand in the bottom to help with not burning out the bottom.. love it gona make one !!!

      It is shown all over the globe. So the regional circumstances and law can be very different. In my cabin in the scandinavian woods noone interest about my stove. It‘s my personal interest to avoid an intoxication of carbonmonoxide or burning my cabin. If you live in a town, maybe in Germany or California with strict green governents and envoirmental laws, you will be charged very soon for operating a stove without permission by officials. You see, some sceptic, attention and warning isn‘t wrong sometime. I try to operate some things under the govermental radar too. Especially in the last two years & winters with exorbitant rised energy prises for heating gas and electricity („guerilla“ woodgas stove and solarpanels). But if they catch me I have to take the penalty - without screaming & tears.

    Love the idea years ago i worked for a propane n heating oil company me and a co worker were putting brakes on a truck and our co worker buddy had a idea he was going to fill up a few 100# tanks with water and he said he was going to take a cutting torch and cut the top and bottom out and then weld them back together for a culvert to go across his driveway lol we looked at each other and thought man i bet he could get seriously hurt propane is very dangerous, long story short he filled up one laid it down and strattled it between his feet and started cutting with the torch we heard a load noise and the tank took off like a torpedo and hit the side of a metal building about 40 yards away lol so what im saying is b careful with them propane tanks the tanks he was using were at least a few years old just setting behind our shop 😂it was pretty funny thank God nobody got hurt and he didn't loose his job 😊

      It sounds like you’re talking about a stove build with wall-mounting brackets. It’s great that you love the design, especially the wall-hung feature! As for the spot-welding, it’s common to do spot welds for testing or as placeholders, but full welding would definitely be necessary for the structural integrity, especially if it’s supporting the stove's weight. Hopefully, the final product was properly reinforced after the video for safety and durability. It’s always good to double-check that these kinds of crucial welds are done right!

    There could be some safety improvements,but I could see using this at a camp . It could be sealed better at the door,and that glass is questionable,stove could reach temperatures higher than the glass is rated for. But over all I think it's very cool and well fabricated .

    • @lmtn
      @lmtn  2 місяці тому +3

      I agree, safety could be improved, especially with the door seal and glass durability, but it’s a great design overall.

    • @ronaldshank7589
      @ronaldshank7589 Місяць тому +2

      I, too, noticed that there wasn't an adequate seal around the circular door for this implement. I'd have concerns about the glass, too...but specifically the absence of a Seal around the door. Other than those two things, it's a great build!

    • @lbowsk
      @lbowsk Місяць тому

      The lack of a door seal is the only thing I don’t like. That thing will require constant fueling as it will likely be a very fast and hot fire. No idea how you could slow it down but with your ingenuity and another scrap tank I’m sure you could weld a flange just proud of the outer door with a small gap and glue a gasket on.
