The M5 falls out of the power band once it hits 7th gear you can see the M4 start to pull back when the M5 shifts just before letting off. Those were some very close races🔥
Pay attention to the M5 driver. He doesn’t know what he’s doing and is shifting right after 6k rpms. He’s short shifting the shit out of the car. He would pull away from this M4 for sure if he just waited till after 7k rpms to shift or let the computer shift for itself
Some advise for the F90 owner, you need to brake boost just like the F82 driver was so you can get that initial jump. Also line up for the race in Manual mode but when you take off slap the gear selector back in S before you shift so the car will shift itself. Might seem like it won’t make a difference but it does.
@@rickygjoka3843 go ahead and do a 60-130 dragy test and watch which one is faster. Short shifting that much also puts the car out of its powerband in the next gear. Notice how the M5 fell flat on its face in the last race when he short shifted into like 6th gear and the M4 all of a sudden came right back

I´m deeply impressed about the potential of the M4. ~200hp down in comparison series by series and having roughly equal tuning mods such a small difference in pulled car-length by the higher rated M5C... Imagine what a new M4C with equal mods will do to the M5....

The m5 needs to be in 3rd I got the same car with the same tune and 2 gear is straight trash… very low boost to make sure car dosnt spin but very little boost…. I have to go out there 🤦♂️, my guy is almost redlining to take off
Man, thanks for the advice. I just got the car, and came off from an f80 m3. Usually 40 rolls are done in 2 gear, but in these car I just noticed that is 3rd instead.i hit the limiter in 2nd cus it was already at 5,500rpm. We’ll run it from 3 brake boosting.. I’m told that I should shift at 6,500rpm to let the boost carryover the next gear.. any thoughts?
From 3rd gear you will a lot more time for the boost to build before it shifts, I only commented that cause I’m been doing runs with my m5 for over 3 years now and 3rd gear is a huge difference. 2 usually falls flat on its face . Talking about 40-60 rolls
I didn’t jump it’s just my break boost comes out really quick for it’s quick launch off the roll. I never try to jump anyone but sometimes it can seem I did
You guys must have never driven the DCT it's already insanely quick on shifting so when you brake boost or use ant-ilag it really shifts brutally fast.
Good races. M4 def needs some mufflers. The 30lbs weight savings isn't worth not being able to hear anything inside of the car. Get some lighter wheels to save that weight and at least straight pipe out the back with some thin walled piping. It'll sound much better and be a lit lighter than the factory exhaust.
but just want to say something out there to all fans of fast cars. It´s not always about the last tenth of a second cause there´s always somebody out there being faster..... in those days where electric mobility is starting to grab away our emotion in driving those cars (Sound, Feeling and Cars Feedback), it´s more about the feeling and emotion while driving such fast cars. Owner with such cars hopefully enjoy the simple drive as well, not just the haunt for tenth ;) Being proud to own a real biturbo, supercharged and naturally aspireated sportscar ;)

So let’s see the M4 has no exhaust and no rear seats and it’s racing against against a much heavier car with its exhaust and seats? The M5 should not have wasted its time racing that thing.
Tell the M4 not to break boost. If he doesn’t break boost he won’t stand a chance. But still not bad but the M5 will walk it all day, better overall over the m4.👏

I have the same set up you have to drive the car in automatic start off in manual and as soon as you hit the gas slap it into drive
