Thanks man! I’m gonna try and get one a one a week schedule. I been really needing to put out more consistent content. Trying to decide between just doing rad jam tracks or actually running through my favorite settings. That’s what I should probably do is just my favorite settings rather than trying to show what all they can do.
I have the supreme and I find it responds to pick much better than it does to my fingers for some reason, falls off immediately unless I dig in super hard.
So I run a crushing amount it compression at the front of my chain that lowers dynamics and dramatically increases sustain. It noticeably bumps up the gain on all my pedals. So if u run some compression at the front it will bump the volume up constantly just like how picking does and then compression slows the volume drop off as well. I tend to like any compression that has a “sustain” knob. But currently I’m using a eqd warden (in this video)
That is nasty. And absolutely beautiful! Wow. Either, Monolord need to be playing with two bass players in unison, or your bass tone is just crushing. I see, that you are playing F# B E A D tuning (?). What strings and gauges? Awesome stuff!
@@on_bass So you down-tuned a standard five string set (45-125 or there about) 5 half tones? crazy. :) Also: Thanks for making this a perfect loop. I had this on repeat with enhancer for yt for the past hour.
@@frozenfrogz these strings might be SIT powersteels mediums. So 130-50 in f# lol. They I literally just get whatever steels are cheapest lol. So that’s normally SITS or daddarios. There’s a lot of change in tension from a light to a heavy like the difference between a set of 125-30 or a set of 130-50s. I normally try and get medium or heavy but sometimes heavy’s are too gnarly. U loose some sustain honestly but it’s worth it in comfort to me. Thanks for diggin the channel! I’m gonna get better at consistency lol. Just trying to find what’s easiest so I will keep up with it more
The pickup is the stock one in the stingray. I pulled the electronics out to make it a passive bass. But the preamp does all the heavy lifting. It’s got great cab sim that really helps sculpt the pedals
@@torgomax I like compression to smooth out the signal. A mild drive and a wild drive (octave up fuzzes are currently my favorite for wild drive) and then some sort of swirly modulation so normally I do phasers but interested in chorus lately. Maybe reverb to make ur feel like ur in a big room. Good tuner at the end to use as a mute and to tune. :)
Honestly some of it is the monolord recording. Their bass tone is insane and some of these pedals sit in the mix amazingly lol. It’s always a toss up on how to mix these lol
@@Bogweed it has my favorite fuzz character and I just add any bass I want back in on my eq. It does have the tone selector to scoop all the mids and do the electric wizard sound and that setting does have some crushing bass. I just always like mode 1 over mode 2 in the superfuzz settings
A buddy just sent this to me. I have the Orange Fur Coat that I play the same song through my rig. I have a fretless 4 string that I downtuned to a 5 string setting (BEAD - no one plays that high string anyway), but I never thought of doing the same thing to my actual 5 string... Sickness. 👍
Yep octave fuzz’s rip. Definitely my favorite. And yes I love being able to go lower as opposed to higher. And playing octaves with an octave fuzz. It just makes it soo heavy
Dude, you deserve waaay more subscribers!

Massive fuzz TONE
Sick tone mate! I was thinking about the crimson and you have destroyed all my world now 😁🤘

Sounds killer man!
Definitely some hidden gems out here. I got some more stuff on the way
I have been using the Hades Metal Distortion pedal on my bass tracks lately, it has a killer tone with just enough fuzz to hit very hard......
That is nasty. And absolutely beautiful! Wow. Either, Monolord need to be playing with two bass players in unison, or your bass tone is just crushing.

Good eye!! So I have been using stock string gauges so they are very light tension and super comfortable to play

This does, indeed, doom. 🤘👿
Sounds epic!! Does it eat up low end? Thinking about using this in my 3 piece stoner rock group.
Killer tone dude! Which settings did you use with the JHS?
AWESOME
oh yeah, good job dude. This is what I call "Bass Tone"
Woah, that tone!
There’s some gems out there! I been in love with the octave up fuzz’s at the moment
Man, awesome! Sick tone. I love Stingrays. What pickup you’re using? I didn’t know this JHS pedal… love it.

Elephants through the mud!
Dude, fuck yeah. Fuck yeah dude.
holy shit this is HUGE!
Amazing sound! What pedals are you using?
Just some compression and then into the ampeg sgt di with the 115 cabs sim straight into my phone
Tubería
holy baaalls
Just WOW ❤
New player here🎸Subscribing! One day this will be Me.
Hell yea man just enjoy the ride!
@@on_bass What pedals do you recommend? I have a Peavey Milestone bass and a Fender Rumble 40😁

Wow, great sound, man! Is jhs mid boost button turned on here?
No I like to run the boost off and in mode 1. It just sounds like it has more drive.
@@on_bass thank you for answer! you inspired me to buy a compressor and cabsim :)
@@spasmind yea compression is a must for me and I just got some cab sim last year and it’s amazing for headphones playing or recording.
Massive low end in this one.

But this one is currently my favorite of the superfuzz circuits
@@on_bass heh ok, cool. Thanks for the honesty. I think us bassplayers allways look for a fuzz with lots of low end still.

Do you have this supreme pedal @jasonsmtb ?
@@on_bassor do you have the fur coat ?
