Its Brazilian portuguese (my mother language haha)
" Thats how Richarlisson (Brazilian Very famous soccer player) said: if you're doing it when training, you're gonna do it playing"
He said that cause he made a beautiful goal in the WorldCup, and he was saying he did It cause he trained for It, so, If you até afraid of a certain step, thats what u have to think, If u could do It once, you always can reproduce. But thats the hoje of the video, cause she is doing a "mistake" and not the step she was afraid😂😂
Brazilian ballerina here, happy to help haha
    Lots of love from Brazil💛💚💛💚

Hi Maria! That language is Portuguese and basically says :"As Richarlison said, what you do in training is done in the game" in reference to the Brazilian soccer player Richarlison

I was looking for this comment! But in the Richarlison context, it was a spectacular goal, rather than falling, of course.

Music and dance is such a beautiful way to express one's self and tell a story. Some of the best music and dance ever made tells incredible stories of triumph, defeat, love, loss, and anger. When done perfectly, you get lost in the movement of the music, movement by the dancer and are transported to another world. That is when the connection between dancer and audience is made and the dancer takes the audience with them through the story and when the need for words is no longer necessary. The dancer and their body are 1 with the audience and it is a glorious thing to watch.

3.50 - Maria, I was in the audience at the Mariinsky Theatre during the performance of Paquita, in 2019, when you fell during the fouettes.... of course, I was worried, and glad that you weren't hurt- but honestly, the way you finished it with a flourish, then sprung up to continue the coda, is one of the most inspirational things I have ever seen!! It reminds me that everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and what matters most is how you recover from the mistake- and you did so exceptionally well. Even your mistake was inspirational! So please, don't be embarrassed about it- I think the entire audience was cheering for you that night, you recovered so well and with so much courage to continue as if nothing at all had happened!

Your statement about dance and emotion reminds me of a silent movie era actress, don't remember her name, who said "we didn't need dialect, we had faces."

Hi Maria! Thanks for another great video. My favourite Tik Tok is the little girl. As a school teacher and one- time pro dancer.... just 😮 wow! What an awesome way to inspire and engage little ones. They don’t always want to join in, for whatever reason, but the gentle and imaginative way the teacher got her to get into dancing was so effective and sweet.I think it shows really well why we dance: to express our emotions and also in response to something like a story or image that captures our imagination. This is what, in my opinion, makes dance an art form rather than just another form of athletics.

I recently heard a quote about musicals that when something like, “We talk until we are overcome with emotion so we sing, and when singing no longer does it we dance.” (I’ve butchered the quote a bit, but it gets the idea.)

Feels like you’re in a good spot at the moment. It warms my heart when skilled people that work hard is calm, confident and remember to enjoy a bit too. I think you would be a special character even if you wasn’t a ballerina. (But what do I know? I don’t actually know you.)
I had a voice and vocal teacher/mentor that once said: "remember whatever of response you get, success or not, you as a human being …is good enough yourself." That line stuck with me.
Actually it made me stay relaxed when singing. I noticed suddenly things like my tongue was stressed. Loosen up and feel like I was good enough just being …it made me lift my cheek automatically.

I love the relationship between the literature and dance. I like Kenneth Mac Millan in the carecter of narration semantic of scene. Abrazo de corazón y toda mi admiración para tan grande artista! I once seen a dancer slip on stage. not during the performance though, but at the end of a gala, when she came forward to bow once more to the audience. she was a ballet student actually who danced a solo from Flames of Paris beautifully. for some reason the audience giggled a bit and there was no music to cover it up. I don't think it was because we were mean or anything, it stopped after a fraction of a second and she got a huge applause, but it was an automatic reaction.
I still think about it, how it must have felt for her...
