Man, no disrespect to the American reggae bands I love tons of them. But don't cut yourself off from the old school roots reggae bands and records. Because youre missing out on some truly deep spiritual and good vibe music. There wouldn't be bands like the expendables without roots music.
want to run away From this awful place in my mind Don't wanna do no more time I want to run away From this awful place in my mind Don't wanna do no more time I do what I love to pick me up But lately now I do not think it's gonna be enough So I sit and I pray but I hope that someday These problems will move far away I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way I can stay in control I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way My life was like a sunny day Always bright out never ever in the shade Now that has all changed There is nothing you can do to make me drown Stop me now I'm not going to be the one to be held down Even though that I'm low I want you to know It's time for me to ditch this heavy load, oh yeah I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way I can stay in control I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way Don't want these feelings in my head Don't wanna cry my self to bed No, no, no more, no, no, no more Don't want these feelings in my head Don't want to cry my self to bed No, no, no, no more, no, no, no, no more I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way I can stay in control I'm burning up In the fire of my soul I'm burning up There is no way I could stay in control
Does anyone have the lyrics for the verse at 2:10??? Also is it Miles from Slighty Stoopid?? I can’t find this information anywhere but would love to have the lyrics for this part!!
Geoff Weers is the vocalist, not Miles, although they sound a lot alike on this track. Geoff is by far the superior singer though. It goes something like: But I wanna wanna I wanna get up and go.. I said I know you aren't the one who want to get up and know.. I said now maybe you'd better get up and leave.. I said you know you the one who wanna get up in between yeah..
This album helped me thru really tough times. God bless y'all for making such good music. Hope to see you guys live one day 🙏🏽
namaste mate
If you don't know about Landon McNamara..... He's saving lives also
@Raj S same
started with reggae, continued with jazz and ended with hard rock
the rhythm guitar at 3:45 to 4:10 is the best. so simple yet so beyond awesome. just tickles the brain in the right way.
How does this song not have more likes?!
Interviewed these guys years ago. Great guys. Great music. Still listening and jamming out to today.
Lucky dude, I just came across them a couple years back, they're soooo fuckin good.
Yes a good version of this!!! Expendables still take the crown for me when it comes to any irie bands!!! these dudes are deep!

The last minute and seven seconds deserves its own song

want to run away
From this awful place in my mind
Don't wanna do no more time
I want to run away
From this awful place in my mind
Don't wanna do no more time
I do what I love to pick me up
But lately now I do not think it's gonna be enough
So I sit and I pray but I hope that someday
These problems will move far away
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way I can stay in control
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way
My life was like a sunny day
Always bright out never ever in the shade
Now that has all changed
There is nothing you can do to make me drown
Stop me now
I'm not going to be the one to be held down
Even though that I'm low
I want you to know
It's time for me to ditch this heavy load, oh yeah
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way I can stay in control
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way
Don't want these feelings in my head
Don't wanna cry my self to bed
No, no, no more, no, no, no more
Don't want these feelings in my head
Don't want to cry my self to bed
No, no, no, no more, no, no, no, no more
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way I can stay in control
I'm burning up
In the fire of my soul
I'm burning up
There is no way I could stay in control
Outstanding live every single time

Yeah, it features Miles from SS
I always wondered that too and I finally got the CD and confirmed it is Miles Doughty providing additional vocals
🤘🤘🤘
❤️🔥
I loved these guys for a very long time. Wish I could find the correct version of Ryan’s song on UA-cam

Is slightly stoopid on this version?
Yup, remixed and rerecorded with Miles from slights
