Thanks for added the link to this video on a comment I made from a different video of yours. Very informative, and it's nice to know you can pour resin over tile. Less work than trying to break tile up first. Thank you.
Can the epoxy surface take heat? like setting a hot or warm pan? Did you prep the tile surface? other than fill the grout lines? or even before that? Great job, and video
Right, I think it was intended to be intimidating 😒 It's definitely achievable if you're trying to accomplish yourself, O suggest to watch other videos
OMG!!! This is AMAZING!!! I have been struggling to find the right countertops for my kitchen; I like the marble look, but have been told it's not the right choice. I don't like any of the quartz or granite options- this is perfect!! Can you please tell me what "ingredients" you used (the epoxy and what you put in the spray bottle with the alcohol)? Thank you!!
Hey so glad you found us and this has been helpful for you! We use all our own products. You can find them at www.CountertopEpoxy.com we like to use our FX Black Label Countertop Epoxy our healthiest epoxy. We do offer a white marble kit however you can also choose a create your own kit. We mixed our metallic powders with 99% isopropyl alcohol and spray as an accent. If you’re looking to do a more subdued look we recommend white base with either silver or our charcoal as an accent and keep in mind a little goes a long way. Whatever design you choose be sure to call our office so we can provide helpful tips and answer any questions prior to your pour! 970-639-9338
Great idea and concept, but I feel you missed on the stone edge. Not to be too critical since I imagine it's not something you get asked to do frequently since the client specifically requested it. At one junction, before epoxy, the stone edge looked more natural. But epoxy on the jagged edge just made it look like plastic rather than stone. If there was some way to get a thinner coat, it might have looked closer to natural. But I suspect you need some sort of semi-matte finish to make a stone edge not look fake. Admittedly a difficult task, and have no idea how something like that could be done. Would have to do some pilot tests in your shop to experiment, but maybe not worth the time and expense over just recommending future clients don't try this. Client would have been better off asking for a clean smooth edge and it would not have been so obvious. Maybe thinking of some alternative for the edge if they really want a stone edge look. But any alternative is probably labour intensive. At one point it seems like the material cost of true stone counter tops would outway the labour costs. Thanks for the detailed video and tips. Never imagined an epoxy back splash. That was eye opening.
We were let that spray become part of the design, we were doing the counters and the backsplashes together. If you don’t want a surface covered. You would want to make sure it’s covered by plastic prior to using epoxy. Hope that helps!
Good job! Great precision in execution and care too in masking. These houses are very shanty though. The outside is horrendous, like a horse stables. Inside is old, dated, low ceiling...
We did a skim coat to cover the grout and seal it before doing our actual epoxy pour. You still want to seal before doing your main pour, but you can seal with epoxy. Hope that helps!
You can totally do it! Let us know what you are wanting and we can do the design for you on tomorrows TikTok Live so you can see. (We repost them here) we do have installers throughout the U.S. so if you still feel uneasy we can find an installer near you.
It depends on the situation in this case the customer preferred to have it seamless to the sink. Give our office a call if you have any questions 970-639-9338

I wish you had shown how you did the pour around the sink.
Wow, fantastic job very well done

Well, this video has convinced me never to try this myself. Haha
Exactly!!

I've worked with joint compound, curious why was it necessary to add the plaster?
It’s time to paint the cabinets a different color

very detailed video!! excited to try in my kitchen! thank you
Awesome job
Cool job bro, you should really be using a dust mask bro
Do I have to use the compound if I just want a flat surface and edges?
Beautiful! So, you don't have to use any type of bond to fill in grout lines?
yes he did, re-watch.

It looks really nice. Great job!
Amazing amazing amazing work where are you located
🙏 we are located in Grand Junction Colorado. But we also have installers throughout the 🌎
Thank you for the tutorial! How did you clean the backsplash after you sprayed it at 26:14?
We were let that spray become part of the design, we were doing the counters and the backsplashes together. If you don’t want a surface covered. You would want to make sure it’s covered by plastic prior to using epoxy. Hope that helps!
This is so dope.
Can you use wall epoxy to cover the backsplash tile, instead of building a backsplash?
It would slide right off before it cures as it cures too slow and is not tacky enough
Great info but I'm confused about something. I thought you had to paint and prime your MDF before pouring epoxy over it because it is porous.
quick setting epoxy will dry quickly and wont seep through the other side.
Hello I would like to know how I can do this over top of a tub area with existing tiles
Give us a call so we can better assist you on this project 970-639-9338
Good job! Great precision in execution and care too in masking.
These houses are very shanty though.
The outside is horrendous, like a horse stables. Inside is old, dated, low ceiling...
Be careful-Don’t let your nose scrape against those low ceilings.
@@shawnkoby6901 no chance.
I live in a spacious masonry house.
You watch out in your hole.
Did you ever stop and think that maybe they like that?
@@kaytarracorrea25 good question, but they don't like it. It's about affordabily, not preference.
@@kaytarracorrea25 you look like an artist. A person with a taste for beauty, harmony, aesthetics.
Do you like these kind of houses?
so you didn't need to fill the grout lines at all? the epoxy fills right in?
We did a skim coat to cover the grout and seal it before doing our actual epoxy pour. You still want to seal before doing your main pour, but you can seal with epoxy. Hope that helps!
I need the walls epoxy for the grout lines for mine but I can’t find it anywhere that has parts a & b or that look like that
Either Countertop Epoxy Fx Metallic Wall Kits or Diamond Coat Epoxy Diamond Metallic Wall product
Ok, after watching the full video, I think this may be more than I can do myself, lol! Not sure where you're located, but is it possible to hire you?
You can totally do it! Let us know what you are wanting and we can do the design for you on tomorrows TikTok Live so you can see. (We repost them here) we do have installers throughout the U.S. so if you still feel uneasy we can find an installer near you.
Awesome
What is the wall epoxy brand you use?
Either Countertop Epoxy Fx Metallic Wall Kits or Diamond Coat Epoxy Diamond Metallic Wall product
How much do you charge to do a house
What if I can’t sand down my tiles ? Can I do multiple layers to get it flat and even?
We only lightly sand to remove any debris and assist for bonding. We use our non sag epoxy to fill the grout lines and make the surface even!
What did you do with the sink? Did I miss it? How did you avoid getting epoxy there?
Great question! You can mask off the sink or roll up to it depending on what you’d like. Give our office a call for more details. 970-639-9338.
how does it not turn yellow?
Wow!!!
Need help, man. How did you get such an opaque white in your epoxy? Did the bondo color come through?
I believe he used Countertop Epoxy's Liquid White Pigment - and it is very opaque. Hope that helps!
Great video but I love it the way was before., Next time use Mask.
Anything needs to be done with the sink?
In this case we prepped by masking it off with tape and plastic
How much do you charge for this job?
Give our office a call for a quote or for an installer near you. 970-639-9338. We also have diy kits on our website.
will this work over shiny porcelain tile?
I would recommend taking a grinder to the tile then wipe clean and start prepping to pour.
Why would you leave the sink installed???;!!
It depends on the situation in this case the customer preferred to have it seamless to the sink. Give our office a call if you have any questions 970-639-9338
NM It was $55-85 a sqft.

Nice result but the video was excruciating.
always check before you start recording if your company's logo is naked on the day of filming before starting to film.
Grow up.
That edge looks horrible.
You can always do a smooth edge if you don't like a chiseled one.
Great video. Thanks
Great video thanks
