Actually the beastiality scene was shot according to the writer benyamin but was forced to remove it by the censor board to get a U/A certificate. Similarly a scene where a goat gives birth also was removed.
Well, about the other movies, I feel that Manjummel Boys and Bramayugam wouldn't resonate well with the academy even when they are excellent films because manjummel boys has a great emphasis on the references from the movie Guna and it plays a major role in the film to deliver the emotion which may be a problem and Bramayugam is a horror film and the academy doesn't really like horror films even though Bramayugam in my opinion is very unique and different from the normal horror films.
Thanks for the information, I didn’t know that!
While I agree with your statement about Manjummel Boys, I believe Bramayugam could stand a chance to be nominated as you mentioned it is unique, but more importantly it is a reminiscent of The Lighthouse(also horror) to me which was nominated for Oscars for its cinematography. I think a horror based around folklore would be interesting for the Academy as well.
@@ReelRealReflect I also feel that aspect of Bramayugam could take it far in oscars
even the director and the whole crew admitted on the beastiality scene was never shot or submitted it to the censor board. the censor board only wanted them to remove a copyright name used in the movie, that's it. source is from the latest interview of the director blessy
Brahmayugam seems like a worthy opponent,it Technically brilliant , acting is top notch and story telling is unique which is even comparable with A24 for movies of Hollywood
A24 movies sounds like the right comparison to make for Bramayugam’s production levels for sure.
I believe that 'Into the Wild' portrays the journey of a young man who initially seeks to experience the rawness of nature and survival but eventually comes to regret his decision. Throughout the film, he encounters a myriad of experiences that shape his perspective and understanding of the world around him. The story delves into themes of adventure, self-discovery, and the consequences of seeking ultimate freedom in the wilderness. It's a poignant tale that leaves viewers reflecting on the balance between exploration and the comforts of civilization...
I'll watch _Cast Away_
Spot on! A movie that showcases the randomness of life, how free-spiritedness could give you the joy of your life and could also take you to harrowing depths.
Oh god. Into the wild. That movie had huggge impact on my life. What a movie!
hakkhim is not najibs brother but yeah, ther's a brotherhood 👍, but i guess you are right about aadujeevitham, but manjumal boys wont win brother maybe bhramayugam but not manjumal boys
That is right! I missed the first few minutes of the film and later in the subtitles he was referred to as “brother” which made me think he was his real brother.
This took more years than Tumbbad
16 years brother. It's a lot of work gone
