Teach brother musician. Sometimes worship leaders even get annoyed with the people for not being in the same place as them emotionally. "Maybe God ain't been good to nobody but me! We shouldn't have to pump and prime you to give God praise!" But you never know how God is dealing with people, even if they're not turning cartwheels for you. Just do your lil part lol. And chances are, if you're anxious to get the mic and love being up front, you're the main person who needs to be extra careful about what Kevon is talking about.

If the SPIRIT is indeed high then the congregation and the pastor and the musicians will let you know…once you leave the mic. It’s happened to me more than once. Trying to be extra never pays off.

I’ve experienced the opposite, when I lead worship and stop the song too soon, my Pastor comes right up and picks the song back up then hands me the mic to continue the song 😊

Anyway, my friend and I used to attend a church where the "praise team" treated the service as their concert and the congregants as their 'audience" They'd sing the spiritless "worship" and the lyrics displayed on the screen(s) but the congregates/audience would be chided for interrupting. We nicknamed the praise team leader, "New York, New York" because it reminded us of a bad supper club routine.

If Jesus Christ came back and was like "ay yo y'all gonna miss the rapture if you don't cut it out," they would tell him "the holy ghost is moving we will have to catch the next bus." No order 😂
