      Hey Stream Scholar, I'd like to do a little thin color line that moves around the overlay. Can you show us how to do that? I thought it may work almost the same way. Maybe playing with the alpha channel to make everything else disapear, so that only the little color string moving around the camera is visible. Cheers, Jan

      @Jan Bloom Not entirely sure what you're trying to accomplish 😅 - do you have a visual example someone else had done to better illustrate what you're trying to do?

      @@StreamScholar Hey Stream Scholar, TrueGameData is using this Effect. I am not entirely sure if I would run it that way or in addition with some more graphics. But I like the effect. Also it seems to be smaller at the end of it, which looks nice to me :) ua-cam.com/video/46qRIPGaNZQ/v-deo.html

    Hey man, I gotta say this Tutorial greatly helped out with making my Webcam border. Thankfully I already have Blender experience but getting back into it was a bit of a relearning process and this video helped to speed that up. I added a wireframe modifier to mine to give it a little more dynamics. Great work on this video.

    Another very nice tutorial. I just can't seem to get my head to wrap around all the blender controls. I believe it's mainly due to me not finding much value for the knowledge after I finish my project ugh. Is there a simple to use piece of software that would complete these actions without the learning curve?

    • @StreamScholar
      @StreamScholar  3 роки тому +1

      The best, most user friendly tool for the job would be After Effects, but that comes at a cost 😕 - there's also DaVinci Resolve Fusion (which is free), but the node-based interface has a really steep learning curve as well (I may make tutorials for this as well in the future).
      Every tool worth anything will have a relatively steep learning curve, though due to the amount of functionality 😅 (especially if you want to make appealing animations - it's an entire discipline/job description for a reason)
      If learning the tools just isn't something you're interested in, though, your best bet might be to hire an artist from fiverr or get something from a site like own3d - there's absolutely nothing wrong with either of those options! I also have multiple templates on this channel where you just have to click on something and change a value if that's more up your alley!

    • @Genxade
      @Genxade 3 роки тому +1

      @@StreamScholar thank you very much for the information. I currently use some of your templates for a few of my projects. Without the tutorials and templates you've provided I wouldn't have gotten that far 🤣.
      I may have to look at fiverr I'm not really looking for general art work. I'd want some thing a bit more custom. That's kind of what was driving me to learn blender a bit.
      I also use DaVinci resolve fusion but only basic functions if you have any tutorials in that department that would be terrific!

    • @StreamScholar
      @StreamScholar  3 роки тому +1

      @Mediocre Misfit I'll look more into Fusion for tutorials - my biggest gripe there is the lack of native webm export - so the export process would be fairly complicated spanning across multiple applications (or command prompt tools) 😅
      I'm not horribly experienced in Fusion, but it seems very similar to Nuke which I used to know very well.

      @@Genxade Also, if you haven't gone through it yet, BlenderGuru's introductory course for blender is fantastic! I wish it had been around when I started in Blender... ua-cam.com/video/TPrnSACiTJ4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=BlenderGuru

      @@StreamScholar oh cool. I will definitely watch whatever you put out on it and yes I agree with you having to convert to webm files is a bit of a pain.
      However DaVinci is definitely a viable option for video editing. I actually like it much better than Adobe.

    Hey there! I need help for your vid you made one for the face cam what I was trying to make an overlay that has 2 neon lights that goes around the exterior, also have another overlay for the game capture for streaming to the left and a show chat to the right . Or can I make it the same size as this in the vid but just expand it in obs. Also how would I go about instead of making a gradient light going around the overlay but instead making an actual neon light trail. If you want to see what I mean I have an example vid I made in LumaFusion

    • @StreamScholar
      @StreamScholar  3 роки тому +1

      Less frames. So in the tutorial, we made the sweep take 5 seconds (300 frames) - if you want it to happen faster, just make the animation shorter.
      Amount of seconds you want x 60 frames per second = frame total. (For example, let's say you want it to take 3 seconds: 3 x 60 = 180 frames)
