If you are having issues connecting your Apple AirTag to your iPhone or iPad, here's are few ways to quickly fix that. In this video we will show you how to do basic and advance troubleshooting to fix any connectivity issue with Apple AirTag.

PLEASE NOTE: as of MAY24, Apple has changed the 'location' of how to find AirTags. Its NOT in the Settings anymore but in the separate Find My app.

Had to reset my AirTag. Take the battery out four times is what worked for me and was last one ur video. Best video on reconnecting AirTags!

I added a long piece of tap to the back of my battery so I could easily and quickly put it in and pull it out. It wasn't until I pulled the battery out and counted 5 seconds and put it back in, did I get the reset chime. Going quick, even at a 3 second count, would not reset it. If you're having trouble, I suggest you wait 5 seconds after removing the battery and just keep repeating that.

Yesssssssss!!!! FINALLY!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 It connected!!!!! It worked!!! I watched more than 3 videos to try to troubleshoot the AirTag to reconnect it and only with your video it worked when I followed the part that you said to take the battery out a few times!!!! I had been struggling with connecting my AirTag to my IPhone. I even called Apple tech support, to no avail. What tech support did not tell me that this website did was to reset my AirTAG. Once I did that, it connected!! THANK YOU so much

All methods you mentioned are tried and not worked until the last one. I took the battery out from the AirTag and put it back for 5 times then the AirTag image popped up on the iPhone screen. Thanks for the video.

Brilliant thank you so much! In my case when I went to Find My it was faded, I couldn’t click on it. Then I realized I have lately being sent messages to accept to new Ts and Cs from Apple. So only after I read and accepted them, then I was able to turn on Find My and my phone finally connected to my AirTag. Many thanks, great video!!

A forced reset worked for my Iphone 12 the phone stopped working with my air tags after the apple store replaced the battery in my phone. I watched other videos and tried removing the airtag battery 5 times... it made a sound and added it to Findmy list however the airtag and the phone would not connect..

A quick tip on the factory reset! My Airtag was a bit fidgety so I really had to do the battery press slowly to get that different tone indicating a successful factory reset. (I had to lift off and push down the battery about 8-9 slow times to get it to finally make the different sounding chime at the end)

A trick apparently most people don't mention is if you take out and replace the battery 5 times it fully resets it. You can hear a different beep/chirp on the 5th replacement. Do it in a row and you'll get a reset tone and then the phone will trigger again to look for it (once all your settings are on properly)

My Apple ID needed to accept terms and conditions and disabled Find My while I hadnt accepted. Really need to work on better error messaging. Thanks for this you saved me

Thanks for the Video. The Rest worked for me! My AirTag had quick battery drain for some reason (All other AirTag are fine) Disconnected my AirTag from my Apple ID and replaced the battery to see if it might solve the problem. When I tried to reconnect it did not want to reconnect. The reset worked and it's connected now.

I can get my phone to detect my airtag, but once i press connect it gets stuck saying "Connecting..." and doesnt connect. What should I do? (i tried everything you told me). Please help, thank you!

Out And replacing it back in the AirTag five times does not work. My AirTag will not connect to my Find My but it’s telling me that my AirTag is traveling with me. It’s my AirTag that I bought. I’m trying to connect it to my Find My and it doesn’t work and nothing seems to work. I have to buy another one even though I’ve already spent $90 on AirTags and AirTag cases.
